i actually really liked this book.
i cried a million times, but i loved it nonetheless.
it was funny, it was sad, it was exciting.
to me, anyway.

i cried when dobby, fred, lupin, and tonks died.
and when harry asked "is it going to hurt?"
horrible, extremely horrible.
i mean i bawled like a baby.
i didn't think i was going to cry like that.

but does anyone else agree that neville just kicks a**?

and molly..."you don't touch my daughter, you b***h!"
hah.

Yeah go Molly! I was really happy for Neville actually, cause he's always been underestimated but in this book he really shone!

exactly. he deserved to kick some a** in this book.

and did anyone else feel like ginny got the shaft?
i mean, they made her out to seem like such an amazing witch in the previous books and she does nothing this time.
whatsupwiththat?

i really liked this book, actually

i was really glad that characters like Kreacher, Dudley and the Malfoys turned out okay.
(especially Kreacher, 8DD)
i liked that Bellatrix was in it quite a bit (i don't know why i like her so much)
and Neville got a really important role bit 8D

the epilogue was really funny xDDD
Scorpius? haha
and Ginny so didn't get a say in what her kids were called.

i really like the Snape/Lily thing too <33
and Remus/Tonks, and Bill/Fleur, were really sweet couples too i thought.

BUT that woman (Bathilda?) turning into Nagini..... THAT REALLY CREEPED ME OUT ; 3; in fact all of the bits with her in were scary.
and the best quote has got to be "Don't you want to remember all the good times? I mean, look at this doormat. What memories..."

Currently, I am in the process of reading the last book. I know what's going to happen and everything, but I'm reading it anyways because it's real good. It's too bad that this is the last Harry Potter book though ._.
Ah, well. Maybe J.K. Rowling will write a new series. :3

she's planning on writing an encyclopedia thing for harry potter.

Yeah. I think she also wanted to explain Dumbledore a bit more, in the Mugglenet interview 2 years ago, as she said.

I enjoyed the book too. I was satisfied and content. Molly was awesome, Neville was my hero, Harry actually impressed me for once, and as many deaths as there were it fit. Sure Tonks and Lupin were random, but it was for a reason. All the Marauders gone? Apparently if she does write any books after this series, she said she wanted it from Ted Lupin's POV. What happens after, etc.

I wasn't as content as I wanted to be with Draco's role. I felt there was something left unsaid. Although the nod in the epilogue made it a little better..

Perhaps they already explained this, or I didn't catch on, but I still do not understand what Dumbledore exactly meant by "REMEMBER MY LAST" to Petunia in the Howler he sent in the 6th book, was it?

Or 5th? I can't remember. And who was the person that did unexpected magic? Neville? Hmm...no, I would have still expected that.

i think the "remember my last" was refering to the last letter he sent her, which was the one when he left Harry with the Dursleys?

it must have said something like he has to live here until he's 17 to be protected, or something along those lines.

It's impossible to read the fifth book in two hours, dear. There are approx. 325 words per page in the British edition and shared amongst 766 pages that's 248 950 words. Now divide that by two hours or 120 minutes. There is NO way you can read 2075 words per minute.

Unless you're not really reading but skimming, which does not count as anything. Now, reading the seventh book in four hours is only slightly insane because it has been reduced down to 822 words per minute.

And how do I know that this is only nearly impossible? Science. The average speed-reader can read 900 words per minute with almost full comprehension and memory. ALMOST. While I am fairly good at speed-reading, I cannot reach that fast with FULL comprehension, which is what I aim for rather than just getting it done and out of the way. How do you reach it? Well, that depends on how fast your brain can adjust; how long you have been in school; and how much heavy research you have done. The only reason why I am even close to 900 is heavy research. I know things and I remember the most random things. Half the time I don't know where I read it...I just know I did read it somewhere. Usually when I'm researching I catch little random tidbits and keep them stored. Comprehension=high.

Now I know I'm getting all technical and psychology on you, but I know we are CAPABLE of reading many thousands of words per minute, but we don't-but I'd love to watch someone reading at Mach-1 speed. That'd be hilarious. The average adult reads at about 300 words per minute. I don't know if that applies to you, though.
I read pretty fast when I want to, but my average is 600 words per minute.

Just a suggestion, don't use numbers loosely unless you can back it up. I'm a pretty technical and truth-seeking person. D'x I question everything, I suppose. Even "facts" which are liable to change in a century or two, perhaps even in a decade or less.

That's what I thought. But it felt too simple. Ah well, thanks. =)
