Rubbing the other male's back he gave a quiet sigh and closed his eyes. He was actually enjoying the nice moment; Naruto seemed so... Well, he seemed like a lost kitten that had just been found! And all that time, Sasuke had thought that he'd be yelled at and hit, but never did he think that coming back would make the blond cry!

After a bit, Naruto calmed enough to talk again. "Ever since... we failed at bringing you back... I thought you would never come back..." he mumbled. "I never knew... if you were going to wind up our opponent, someday, or something like that..." He took a deep breath, holding back another bout of crying. Once in front of Sasuke was enough. He didn't want it to bother the other male.

Lady Kiba ((That's okay, we'll think of something when we get there)) Shino gave a nod. "See you then at our normal meeting place." he then continued up the path that led to the top. By now, lots of insects would be out and he could get a lot of work done. A small part of him wished for a reason not to have to do it, it was his free time anyway, but the rest of him actually enjoyed it.
Zabuza was woken up by bright light in his face. He let off a groan, body sore from sleeping crunched up on the couch, then slowly sat up and stretched. It only took a moment before he remembered where he was, and the task ahead of them. He saw that there was still a small fire going and frowned. Either Haku's up already or he kept getting up during the night to make sure it wouldn't go out. he gave a sigh as he sat there, letting his mind and body finish waking up.((So, is everyone else dead? Sorry for my really slow reply DTT sweatdrop ))

Haku's pet was soon visible around the side of the couch, seemingly hopping away from something before pausing to sniff at the Teen's bag. A small groan came from where the rabbit had come from, a hand sticking out into the air, seemingly fixing a blanket, before returning to rest close to it's owner.
Haku was asleep leaning against the couch, a blanket wrapped around him for a little more warmth. He'd gotten cold in the night, and came out only to see the fire almost out. So, while Zabuza slept, he made sure it wouldn't go out again so the older male was warm while he rested.
He'd also been planning to get up before Zabuza, but that didn't seem likely, now.

Sasuke sighed and admitted, "Yeah.. I was always wondering the same thing. I'm back now, so you don't have to think about it any more." It was odd for him to be so calming and comforting, but the situation called for it and the dobe deserved it after going through what he's gone through.

Naruto pulled back a bit, giving a soft round of punches to Sasuke's chest, almost in a fit-like way, while still in range for the other male to keep his arms around him. "I do still have to think about it... What if you leave again? If you couldn't get what you wanted there, and you obviously didn't think you could get it here, then where else are you going to get it?!" he asked, resting his forehead on the Uchiha's shoulder again.
Great... now, all I have to do is say 'I don't want you to leave, because I love you!', and then my whole state of mentality will have been spoken aloud...

Zabuza noticed the rabbit and frowned again. He sat up on the couch so he was on his knees and looked over the arm to see Haku there and still sleeping. With a sigh, he got off the couch, scooped the boy up into his arms, then gently lay him down on the couch, hoping not to wake him.
Wanting Haku to get more rest, Zabuza grabbed his sword and left the cabin to see if he caught anything, or any one, in his traps.

Haku curled up slightly while he was moved, and then relaxed. He mumbled something incoherent under his breath as Zabuza left, but remained asleep. It wasn't until he felt a small bite to some fingers of a hand that had fallen off the edge of the couch, did he wake up.
"Hnn...?" Haku mumbled, shifting his fingers slightly and feeling a soft, furry head under his hand. He rubbed it gently, then winced as his pet gave his hand another soft nibble. "Alright, alright..." the teen mumbled, shifting to sit up. He blinked when he realized he was on the couch. He then noticed Zabuza gone, and finally noticed that the fire was starting to go out.
Shifting to sit up properly, Haku rubbed his eyes before standing. He went over to his bag and got some food out for his pet, before moving over to the fire to put a few pieces of the wood in to keep it going. Wondering where Zabuza went off to, he decided to make something to eat, and some tea, for whenever the man got back. Disappearing into the kitchen, he started doing just that.

"Naruto... It's true that I still want to kill my brother and that I want more power to do so," he started, taking the blond's face in this hand, "But for now, I'm back; after what happened I think I'll be staying for quite a while.." Sasuke's eyes seemed gentle, not like they usually were; cold and glaring. He couldn't seem to bring himself to let go of the dobe! 'Damn it.. Why do I feel like this? I can't be... In love with him? No, no that's impossible... Even so... He wouldn't feel the same.'

"Sasuke...." Naruto murmured, his eyes brimming with tears again. Yet, there was an obvious tinge of blush in his cheeks at the way the Uchiha held his face, and the way his eyes capture his own. His eyes were wide in awe, and he loosened an arm to brush away threatening tears. "You promise?" he asked, still looking into the other males' eyes, unable to pull his gaze away.

If he didn't move now, the moment between them wuold be lost and so would his chance.. He brought his face closer to Naruto's and gave him a small kiss on the lips. Once he pulled away he whispered to the blond, "I promise..."

Naruto seemed to melt at the moment, and he re-wrapped his arms tightly around Sasuke's neck, burying his face into his chest again. "Good...." he murmured softly, letting the tears fall once more. However, the next time he pulled back, he had a smile on his lips, even though the tears were still coming. "We should let you eat and rest..." he murmured.

Sasuke smiled and gave a nod. So Naruto liked him back? It was relieving, but it also made him wonder.. how long had the blond had these feelings for him? "Yeah. Food sounds nice. Thanks to your care, I should be better in no time," he said with a small laugh, petting his hair a little.

Naruto smiled a little more, before giving a grin and a nod. His head leaned in a little towards the hand that was petting him slightly. After a moment, he unhooked his arms from the Uchiha's neck. Pulling away, he made sure Sasuke was sitting before he handed over the other male's food, picking up his own again, a new appetite gained back. Sitting beside the raven-haired male, he smiled cheerfully as he took a bite out of his fried squid.

((Gah! Forgive me. I completely forgot about this RP. I'm a bad person. ;_ wink )
Kiba nodded and walked off, placing his hands behind his head. As he walked further away from the Aburame, he could feel himself becoming a little more bored than before. "Huh. Now what am I gonna do?" he asked out loud. Akamaru somehow shrugged while walking. It came out a little weird seeing as he was a dog but pulled it off. "Well. Might as well keep walking." Kiba muttered and so they did.
((Wow...I don't post for around a week or more and all I come out with is a lame-o post..>.>'))
