His eyes went from pain to pure sweet kindness. "I'll do whatever it takes," he whispered, "to keep you safe." He didn't bother with his wound at all, not caring much about his own problems. He took a seat on his rump, still looking slowly around. "We lost them," he managed to say, trying to switch the subject a little, but knowing it wasn't enough. "Have you ever seen pups?" he questioned kind of randomly. "I mean, other than yourself when you were younger..." he trailed off, thinking about how he'd be abandoned.

"I did meet one a few moons ago. " Few was more than few there, it had been Fute, and she hadent seen him in quite a while. "Oh yes, Kage, why are you no longer with a pack? Or were you born a loner? " she asked numbly, wondering why he was 'alone'.

"I.." he started looking up to the full moon night once again, the beautiful moonlight growing stronger every minute. His eyes were solemn, trying to remember all he could, but not quite managing alot of it. "All I can remember," he said, realizing she was the first he had ever told. "I can remember being born, and then being closely examined by the Shaman of my old pack. She said I was evil... or something like that.. I don't quite know. I just know that I shared the color of an element, and supposedly to be born with that was a curse of some kind. They dipped my in the water, or tried to drown me...." He frowned, taking a couple of moments of silence, then continuing. "I guess they left me for dead..." he mumbled slowly. Then he looked down quickly to her with a smile, "But I have you now right? That is all that matters."

She said I was evil... or something like that
Those words eccoed in Gyani's mind, ears folding back and head lowering for a moment; Kage and her past were so much alike... Just that in her case, thye let her learn to hunt.
supposedly to be born with that was a curse of some kind
More in comon than she culd have thought, but in his case, it wasen't an odd marking, it was his color! Gyani looked at him with an expression as if saying 'i feel you're pain' and nodded to his last phrase, she culden't think of the right thing to say at the moment.

He just smiled, remaining silent. His rump rested on the ground, taking a good rest for his body. he hadn't slept in atleast 48 hours and was tired, but tried not to show it to Gyani. He appriciated her so much, and didn't want to trouble her any. He couldn't help but stare at her eyes that were shining in the moonlight. They were so pretty... He snapped back to what was going on. His feelings kind of switched, his mind questioning what he had just felt.

Gyani got up to nudge his cheek with her nose, in an attempt to make his head go to the floor. "You shuld sleep. I can wach tonigh. ' She smiled, she knew he haden't slept the last night, and aso knew they had done quite a bit of running the last few days, he really needed rest.

He gave a small smile and looked at her eyes. "Thank you," he managed, annoyed that he couldn't let her sleep. If he didn't though, and something were to happen tomorrow, he'd be useless without energy. He laid on his stomach, laid his hea don his forelegs and looked at her. "Goodnight, Gyani..." he mumbled as his eyes started to close under the bright full moon.

"Good-night Kage. " She whipered, lying beside him, yet her head was up and paying attention to the surroundings, looking at him avery time in time to make sure he was fine.

He opened his eyes, glancing up into the face of Gyani. He remained silent while rising, strecthing his forelegs out and giving a good yawn. "Thank you," he said, smiling after a good night's rest. "We should get going, you're right," he stated, looking in all four directions. "Question is," he started, "which way would you like to go?" He lifted his nose and scented the air, noticing a firey scent still from the East. He smelt water to the South, where they had come from, which would be a bad idea to return to. And the on the North and West fields, he smelt nor saw anything out of the normal. He'd leave the decision up to the she-wolf.

Gyani looked around, unable to find anything. "I guess we will wnder.. " She muttered, streching her paws forward and wagging her tail a bit. She really didn't know were to go.

"Okay," he replied, giving off a smile and small tail wag. His paws lifted and replaced on the ground in a new position, advancing forward a couple of paces. "So, we'll go any way we feel," he shrugged, never having done that before. His tongue licked his teeth, the fangs glistening a white in the sunlight. His fur was now regrown in any slightly burnt places, his smeel returning to a natural normal. His tail was raised high, as well as his head. It wasn't normal for him to carry himself happily, strongly, but he felt around Gyani he could.

No matter how confident Gyani was, she kept her head like she always did, thats just how she was. There was no need to hunt today, as hunt wasent necessary every day. Pink tatoo became a slight blur started to trot in a random direction. "Comin? ' She said, looking back and smiling.

He followed her, noticing the mark dance among her other fur. He thought he'd follow her anywhere she wanted to go for now, trusting her more than anyone he'd ever known. His paws lifted and decended, keeping gait with the she-wolf. He wondered where they'd end up, with who, and how they'd get there, but he didn't feel like thinking about it much now. All he wanted to do was get away from the humans, and the more bad memories they seemed to cause the wolves.

Gyani stopped at the river, though distant from were they had been before. It wasen't sofar, but enough to notice. 'Maybe we shuld rest? ' She said, tail giving a slight wag, and then she sat down, knowing that because of the bullet, kage shulden't just go trotting around the hole day.
