It was really none of her business, but Toshi couldn't help but watch the seemingly anxious boy from where she sat at one of the little tables within the shop. The way he'd burst into the place and requested one of everything before changing his mind to simply a cupcake, and now his near dance in wait was more than amusing to her. A grin spread over her features and she let out a quiet laugh. "Think a cupcake is really a good idea when you're already so jittery?"

Jadyn turned slowly, looking for the source of the voice. Immediately, heat rose and colored his cheeks an inviting shade of pink. "I forgot," he started, staring at the beautiful girl. "That I don't have e-e-e-nough money any-any-more..." he stuttered, giving her a crooked smile before taking his item and sitting at the table beside hers.

"Ah," she grinned broadly as she shifted to better look to him. "Never go into a sweetshop unprepared." She winked after him, an almost taunting bite taken from the cupcake she was enjoying. "If you wanted more than simply the one cupcake, I think I might be able to help you out." Sure, she knew better than to buy sweets for strangers, but what harm could it really be? He seemed innocent enough, and his blush was pretty damned cute.

"Well, yes, it a-a-a-appears I have a habit of being unprepared." He chuckled abashedly, bowing his head as he took a small bite from his treat. He let out a small sigh, looking to it, his eyes narrowed in concentration. Bitter, yet sweet, could do with a pinch less sugar and a dash more cocoa... he thought to himself, distractedly raising his gaze to the girl. He swallowed coarsely, watching her intently. "In what way...?" he questioned, unsure of what she meant by that. Of course, with his mind to wander, his cheeks heated once more.

It took all she had not to grin wickedly after the other and purr that she could be his sweet treat if he did so desire, but instead she slipped a couple bills from her bag and fanned the folds to him. "I could lend you some cash if you wanted to try some of the other things they make~" Her lips did quirk into a grin after the other, but she still held on to the restraint to keep from taunting him any. "The fruit tarts are alright. My favorite is their individual sized tiramisu cakes though."

Jadyn smiled curiously to her, nodding slightly. "I do not have a w-w-way to pay you back right now, though..." he trailed off, frowning slightly. "If you can wait until I get my own shop...? Just, testing the com-com-competition, so to speak," he stuttered, giving her a shy smile.

"This is nothing at all," she laughed, offering the bills out to the other. "Really, you don't have to worry at all about paying me back." She fell quiet a moment, her head tilting in thought before she smiled broadly. "I'll help you test out the competition, and then when you get your own shop, you can give me freebies on fridays or something!" She offered a wink to him, no intention at all of every trying to regain the meager twenty dollars from him even if he did open up a successful shop of his own. She would, however, likely pop in from time to time simply to hear his adorable studder and watch him blush like mad. That was actually pretty cute~

"If you insist, but freebies are for s-s-s-sure," Jadyn said, giving her a polite smile. He gently grasped the bills from her, setting them down as he looked to the menu. He let out a gentle sigh, turning his gaze to her once more. "When I was in Barcelona, there were m-m-many people who would come for my s-s-s-sweets."

"Oh, you must be very talented, then!" Toshi smiled as she watched the other still, her arms folding casually against the edge of the table she sat at as one leg slipped over the other, her foot swaying as she let her eyes keep against his features still even as he averted his gaze. "A cousin of mine is an aspiring chocolatier, he's told me that the citizens of large cities as such are quite demanding when it comes to the quality of products. So if you were sought out, I'm sure you'll do wonderful with a shop in this little ol' place. Hopefully it doesn't become overwhelming for you." She couldn't help but offer a grin and a wink with her words.

"O-oh," Jadyn started, letting out a quiet laugh. "Well, I was by myself in that shop, I think I can manage here, too. I want to make my grandmother p-p-proud..." he trailed off, thinking on the woman who inspired him. "I am a pastry chef, but I do enjoy making ch-ch-chocolates." He crossed his ankles, looking to her with a more confident, brighter smile.

"So why not offer both in your shop?" She smiled after the other, his hopes to make his grandmother proud near making her 'aw' though she kept it to herself for sake of not wanting to embarrass him any. "Display not only your talents with the pastries, but have some fun indulging with the chocolatiering as well!" She personally liked that idea, but the shop they sat in had little variety and it was a touch boring for her now, especially after venturing off to large shops that carried hundreds of options.

Jadyn offered her the brightest smile yet, showing just how much he liked the idea. "Sounds wonderful..." he spoke, trailing off as he pondered something he had seemingly forgot to ask. "Con permiso, what is your name?" he questioned.

The girl beamed as he took her idea to heart, his bright smile drawing a soft laugh to leave her lips before a soft blush graced her cheeks. "My name is Toshiyuki, but you may call me Toshi." she offered, nodding as she offered out her hand. "And your name?"

"¡Qué bonito!" Jadyn said, grasping her hand with a smile. "Toshi is a very unique name. W-w-where is the origin?" he questioned, not wanting to make any foolish assumptions. When she asked his name, he gave her a shy smile. "I'm called Jadyn."

"Jadyn," she spoke his name with a smile and nodded in appreciation of it's sound before she let out a laugh. He was entirely too adorable for his own good! "Well, my mother is half Korean and half Japanese, and my father is Japanese so my assumption would be that it's Japanese. Unfortunately, I'm not very connected with my culture, as I spend a great deal of time elsewhere." She smiled after him, her fingers lightly tightening under his touch though she didn't draw her hand back any.
