Bringing himself back to normal form, Skip slumped down the floor, and yelled "********! ********!!!!" He began banging on the door angrily, as tears started streaming down his cheeks. He was spent. There was nothing left. He was now a sobbing mess huddled in a pathetic little ball in front of the door. Having no care for what pain may ensue, he yelled "GRAPES!", and as the fury seized him, he pounded relentlessly at the door, trying to beat it in, rip it open, anything he could do.

"Secret?" Spaz asked, his body twitching erratically every few seconds, as though it were physically impossible for him to hold still. He untangled his foot from the rung and let his body swing down so he stood rightside-up again. "Secret special secret?" He took a step closer to the duo of strangers, so he was still just out of arm's reach. His brain might be addled, but Spaz wasn't stupid.

"You know who the shooter on the grassy knoll was?" He asked in a whisper, "You know who put the bop in the bop-shebop-shebop? You know why Napoleon was afraid of kitty cats?"

((Brian))

Well, he had calmed down. This way, he could talk to the guy like a normal person. The alternative was far, far worse...he put away the gun.

"Secret? Here, I'll tell you. How about this? I took the cookie from the cookie jar. Yep. Me. How do you feel about that? Here, think it over while you eat. Sit down. We've got time."

He reached out his hand, which held a decent amount of sugary, greasy, wonderfully fattening foods...he had a bottle of water, but he figured he'd probably need that later...

"So. How about you come with us, man? We're on...a bit of a mission here, and we would be glad to have a guide..."

((Skip))

The pounding, as powerful as it was...did pretty much nothing for him. It left a few dents in the door, but that was it. As powerful as he was, he couldn't rip apart reinforced steel yet...though his dents were impressive, he couldn't catch the metal "by surprise" like he had previously done to Ellisent....

[Be careful. It's getting close to time.]

Keeping a bit of a reign over Rage form, Skip grabbed Vixen, and placed her in front of the door. He then shouted, "DO SOMETHING!" He didn't care if she had nothing left. She still had the potential. Hell, he would beat the door in using her if he had to.

I'm sorry, Jess. Looks like someone's impatient.

But I defintely think this is appropriate. Noble, even.]

If there was one thing Vixen hated, it was being touched. This might be from the fact that everytime some one touched her she was brought tumbling down with a plethera of pain. Something she did not mind time to time, but did not fully enjoy. Skip was indeed infuriating her. Oh, how she was itching to hit him. Anything. Something to get him to regret laying hands on her. Ugh. How disgusting! The feeling of flesh against her flesh, the absolute vileness of skin cells upon skin cells. It was so sinful in her eyes! Not that she had any comprehension of sin. She killed people for fun. Killing would be fun right now.

Wait. Partners don't kill partners.

Mmm, but sanity was quickly slipping from her mind. She found it was harder and harder to think rationally. Rational thinking was for losers, anyway. The sane did not belong here. It would only take one punch. Two, five, until he was gone or she was. She bet he would win, right now. Damn the powers that she did not have at the moment. That's ok. Diligence would suffice. In her mind she could see herself. Jumping at him at such a speed that he could be somewhat surprised. Wrapping her hand around his neck. Beating and struggling, blood pouring out some open wound, his or hers she couldn't tell. Her body would be slick with sweat and blood, until there was nothing left.

And all that anger still there. She could not do anything at so close a range to the door. Nothing but hit it. That did little. She backed up. Then she threw herself against it. Immediately she could feel the pain soar through her shoulder and arm. Again. Again and again she would do it 'til it died. Metaphorically, of course. She needed to destroy something, or she might try and kill Skip. Which would be disastrous, seeing as Skip was just as angry and mad as herself.

Skip was not in a good place right now. Rage form was getting harder and harder to control, as Rage form was wanting more and more to eat Vixen. Devour her flesh, and bathe in her blood. Skip would have gotten out of Rage form, but... it was his only defense against Vixen, whom Skip feared wanted to do to him the same thing Rage form wanted to do to her. Well, maybe not eat him, but bathing in his blood was probably somewhere on the agenda. Also, the blinding rage that was filling him wouldn't be much help to get him back to normal.

Spaz eyed the young man's offering of empty calories and excessive sodium, and his stomach rumbled loudly. He knew he could trust this guy; after all, cookie junkies had to stick together.
In the blink of an eye he snatched the chips and candy bar and tore into them, gobbling them down and spraying crumbs and slobber everywhich way.

Snarf... snap... gulp... BELCH

When he'd finished his brief yet welcome repast, Spaz suddenly leapt forward and wrapped a scrawny arm around each of his two new friends in an eager bear hug. "I says thankya, maties! I'll help ya find the gold bullion, or my name's not Weirdbeard the Pirate, scourge of the six and a half seas! Yarrrrr!"

Ah, nothing but pain filled her shoulders as the door refused to open. She knew that bruises lined her arms as well. She needed to stop a moment. Temporarily she granted herself a bit of time to think. Bracelet? Oh, yeah, she had it right there on her arm. That comforting spirit she felt earlier was feeling a bit appalled. Vixen could not exactly help it. She studied the details of the bangle. Could she summon this thing somehow and then get it to open the door? If so, that would be absolutely wonderful. Maybe she could slaughter it all over again, and it would not give her some crap about honor or whatever. Wait, no. Stop. First she had to concentrate on how the hell she was supposed to get the spirit out of the bracelet. She took it off with the help of her trusty cheekbones and set it on the ground.

"You wanna come out now and help? I know you're in there! Come out and help me, please! I promise not to do anything bad to your spirit if you help."

Hopefully the coaxing would work and Vixen did not have to say some stupid spell, which would suck.

Skip blinked. Vixen was yelling at a bracelet. Gee, maybe he had put a little too much stress on her, and she was finally snapping under it. But... she spoke of a spirit. Maybe she knew what she was doing. Skip looked on, wondering what would happen next.

Kali nearly leapt out of her skin when he hugged them, and had to stop a moment to calm her racing heart. She came back to earth when Spaz spoke, and couldn't help but laugh. He was hilariouse! She put a hand over her mouth in an effort to stop the giggles, but it didn't help. Like she said before, he was like a puppy. Hyper and seemingly an idiot, and well...I don't think he pees on the floor....but anyways.

"Your name really Weirdbeard?" She giggled, doubting it was but hey, who knew right?

He was pleased. Very pleased. This was awesome!

"Really? You know your way out of this place? Please, lead on, friend!"

He couldn't wait to begin exploring; this would be much easier with two allies than by his lonesome.

*Yawn* Oh? Finally! I was hoping you'd call, you know, some time this century. Luna at your service. What do you need, brooding spirit?

It worked! Holy s**t, it worked! The bracelet...it spoke! This was Luna's spirit...it was a last ditch attempt, but it was completely worth it. Glowing a misty blue, the once dull bracelet filled the hall with its oceanic light. Foe turned ally, this...this whatchamacallit was their last hope to getting Emerald and getting the ******** out before Ellisent evoked his wrath.
