Apocalypse shurgged his shoulders. "The light." He shook his head. It was a curse to him that the boy had been born. Why hadn't he made an escape before then? Then no light would ever outdue his darkness.
"Maybe, maybe not." He told her as he starred at her with his red eyes.

((Don't worry because they just got my account back together. Yay!))
Fre heard her name from behind her and turned her head to look at a grown Dahyt. She smiled briefly before gathering Arlie up and joining her and her male friend. The child clung to her mother's neck, suddenly becoming very shy.
"Nothing much," she replied, "just teaching Arlie here how to swim. Well," she paused, "I was teaching her how to swim. When we got here Arlie saw this hanging from a tree."
The pae held up the staff that she had been contemplating all this time. "I wasn't sure whose it was and I promised Arlie we'd swim so I didn't want to go run to the HQ just yet."

Apollo smiled. "Hello, I'm Apollo." Then he heard what she said and saw the staff. "Oh, you found it! Thank the guardians!" He said as he reached out for his father's staff.

"Thank gaia! You found it...we've been searching for hours. And-wait...arlie?" Her eyes went to the shy toddler, her pale eyes becoming bigger and bigger and bigger. "No way...thats...thats just...impossible...Bro wouldn't...he...and being elder...and...and..." She quickly shook her head, forcing the confusion into the back of her head again. "We have to get the staff back a.s.a.p. right?" sweatdrop "What...would be the odds of him being where you left him apollo?"

Fre giggled to herself as Dayht tripped over her words. It must have been a shock to the pae to see her older brother's kid; after all he had even told Fre that he'd never have kids. Arlie clung tight to her mother, upset by the broken sentences of Dayht; when she couldn't understand she got frightened.
"We'll talk about it later," she laughed.
Fre gazed down at the staff, unsure what to do. She trusted Dayht, really she did, but she just wasn't ready to part with it. As it was Arlie was playing with the ribbon on the staff, catching it and releasing it into the wind only to catch it again. It would've been really bad at this point to tear the child away from her new play thing.
She held the staff close to her, "I'll go with you. Not that I don't trust you..."she paused, "I'm just curious as to who lost this staff in the first place."

Apollo wasn't sure what was wrong with Dayht. He just put a hand on her shoulder hoping that might make her feel better. Though, he wasn't sure if she was in shock, scarred or happy.
"I guess you can... it belongs to my father. He needs it. It is Apocalypse's seal. I'm not sure he will still be there Dayht." He shurgged.
Apocalypse was close to the HQ and the lake with Cronous.

"Later...yeah...later..." sweatdrop Lovely...Fre so didn't trust her. But then...Hand-blush. She glanced at the hand on her shoulder, wishing for not the first time that her colors were reversed so the blue would cover any red in her face. "I-I'm okay! Really. But your father...hmmm....he could be...anywhere...ah! If we head back to HQ, I bet I can find Tristen. He has...what is it called..." The sweet teen frowned, thinking. "x...x...x...x-ray eyes? Vision? Something like that. So can scan around for him." sweatdrop Now...WHY hadn't she thought about her brother sooner when looking for the staff?

Apollo nodded. "That sounds like a great idea. Might be better the just wondering around hoping to bump into him again." Apollo looked to the girl with the staff. "Let's head."

((Hey guys. I have not been avoiding this thread, I swear. Let me give you a rundown on what's going on with me. I usually work on the weekends...generally about six to eight hours everyday. By the time I get home I'm really exhausted so I hardly feel like updating. Hopefully as I get used to it I wont be so tired, but for now I probably wont be posting on the weekends.))
Fre watched the interaction with a smile on her face. It was obvious from where she was standing that the little daylight pae had fallen in love, or at least was seriously crushing. She couldn't remember ever being in that stage with Dayht's eldest brother but it was cute to watch the girl she had once helped watch get all flustered.
"Well at least starting at the HQ would give us a good starting point. It couldn't hurt to go there." she suggested.
Arlie was still clinging to her mother tightly, still slightly afraid of the big bright pae. She shut her eyes to make them go away and upon opening them found that they were still there much to her disappointment. The young girl had never been too found of bright things looking straight at her.
Fre shifted the girls weight in her arms and started out, "Let's go there and make a plan first. We should probably find a map and start marking areas to search."

((Okay I understand. Let's aim to get this done by the weekend. lol JK. If Sunny doesn't come back and we get to Apocalypse we'll go on without her. Sorry.))
Apollo smiled and nodded. "Sounds like a great idea." He then began to walk. Before too long he could see the darkness and one little light. "He's there...with someone that has an orb of mine." He told them.
Apocalypse frowned as he saw Apollo yet again. This time he was with others and .... no not that. "Oh, damn it to Hell." He cursed. This was not what he needed at all.
((He curses. If this offends anyone I'll put blanks and let you guess. Just let me know.))

BIC: She nodded and followed after apollo, glancing over at fre and the little one. She was so cute! But wow...raken...her brother. Dayht shook her head just as the male spoke again, blinking out ahead. Well, that certainly solved the whole finding him problem! "Thats great! We just have to give him the staff right?" and then she could see the sun again

Apollo nodded. "Yep. I think this will be a piece of cake." That was sarcasam as he knew this was going to be hard. About as hard as it had been to find the staff. Though, he really hoped it wouldn't be.
"Okay, please Fre the staff. Unless you want to try? I wouldn't recomed trying with a baby. I wish my mom was here. She should give it to him."
((I think that would be great, but Sunny has been busy or something. sweatdrop sweatdrop ))

Fre knew the fight wasn't going to be over quickly. It was just women's intuition. Though she hardly understood what the problem was in the first place, considering that they had yet to really fill her in, she just got this sense of knowing that things weren't going to go as smoothly as they intended them to go.
Arlie still had her eyes closed against the bright things but for a toddler she understood an incredible amount. They had to give the pretty ribbon thing away to someone else and it made her unhappy. Her little hand grabbed at the air, connecting with the soft ribbon and she rubbed it in her hand. It was her play thing!
Ever so carefully Fre managed to slip the ribbon out of Arlie's hand. "Here," she said, handing over the staff to Apollo.
Arlie hadn't noticed the missing ribbon until she looked down at her hand and saw she was holding nothing. Upset she began to cry and scream. Her mother bounced her in her arms and shushed her, trying desperately to get the girl to quiet down.
The girl settled, some, but tears still fell. "Exactly what is that staff for?" Fre asked, still bouncing the little girl.

Apollo took the staff and bowed to Fre. "I am sorry. Here." He made a small toddler size staff of light for Arlie. Maybe it would help, though he wasn't sure.
"The staff keeps my father's other darker side from taking control. It makes the seals on his chest so he has to hold it at all times." Apollo explained thinking how rude he was for not doing that already.
Apollo slowly approached his father.
Apocalpyse saw the boy and he had the staff now. "So, you think I'll just take that do you boy? I really don't think so." Apocalpyse moved into his darkness and the appeared beside Dayht. "Boo!" He said in her ear as he tried to grab her like he did the demon girl.
