*time warp...let's just say this is later on*
Tiana wandered down to the docks and sat down, pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her chin on them. Been such a long time...should have figured he'd leave once he got what he wanted. She closed her eyes against the shame. He played me for a fool, the b*****d...and I let him. When the lids lifted, her eyes were a cold, hard green. He won't get a second chance.

Megiddon wandered rather aimlessly around Balamb, checking out the local shops for anything of interest. Maybe he'd pick up a few cards. The game had become rather popular, and he wanted to at least give it a look.
After about a half hour of walking he'd managed to find and purchase some cards, and was just now looking them over as he meandered along. The ocean breeze became stiffer, and the smell of salt in the air grew stronger. Upon looking up from the cards he found himself at the docks.
"Hm... way-to watch where you're going", he scolded himself. It was about time he should be heading back to Garden. Before he turned to walk back, however, he noticed somebody sitting at the end of one of the piers. It was a girl, and from her posture she was deep in thought. What the hell... another few minutes wouldn't hurt. He walked towards her, slipping the cards into the pocket of his shirt and adjusting his hat. He approached slowly and quietly, and stopped just behind her. "Hello, Miss..."

Tiana looked up, a slightly startled look crossing her face. "Hello...I haven't seen you around before...but you do look like someone from Garden."

He nodded and smiled. "I am. I guess since you knew that it means you're either a fan of Garden, or you go there yourself." His hands slipped into his pockets as the breeze picked up slightly, but quickly died down

She nods quietly. "I am a student, in fact." She turned her right arm slightly to show the scar where Banshee had driven his dagger in. "I remember the attack, too...it's given me more trouble than just what happened then."

Eyeing the scar, he gave a low whistle. "I wasn't here for the attack. Got transferred almost immediately afterwards though. The place was still torn up when I got there". He crouched and looked out at the waves. "Mind if I join you for a while? I don't feel like going back yet."

She nodded. "I don't mind..." She shook her head slightly. "You're lucky to not have seen it. By the time things quieted down, I could barely stand up." She chuckled. "Wasn't in the best mood, either...Stop cast on me twice in one week tends to piss me off."

He sat down with a small sigh. "Yeah, that would get on my nerves too...". He shifted until he was comfortable, and sat cross-legged. "I kinda wish I'd been here for it. Just another body to help out, ya know?". A smirk appeared on his face. "Besides, fighting would have been a lot more fun than helping with the clean-up was".

Tiana laughed. "Yeah, it was kinda fun...until it ended. Then it just hurt like hell." Her face fell. "Seems that way about a lot of things..."

He chuckled and leaned back, bracing himself with his hands on the dock. "Adrenaline will do that to ya. Don't feel a thing until you stop to take a breather, then ya just wanna pass out"

He frowns and tilts his head, trying to get a look at her. "Am I bothering you?"

Tiana shook her head. "No...it's remembering something...rather, someone else that is."

"Oh...". As the moment seemed to get awkward, he thought about leaving, despite her having said he wasn't bothering her. Rather than leave, maybe it would be better to at least try and help her out. "... did... something happen to this person?"

She barked a short, bitter laugh. "You could say that...b*****d ran off after getting what he wanted. Not even a word, might I add." She spat out into the sea. "The coward."
