Why not talk about the new PS3, or the Xbox 360, and how Nintendo is hardly holding a candle to whats going on. .. Any who, i got this in an email =D it made me laugh. yur emal The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English". In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter. In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away. By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v". During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl. Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru. Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

Just because Nintendo's releasing it's next console later than everyone doesn't mean the company's not doing well. O.o They're just saving the best for last like with the DS. Advance Wars comes out next week along with Nintendogs & by November PSP will be garbage when the online Mario Kart takes over the portable world. Oh yah, been hearing alot about the new gamecube game Geist. Even heard some people refer to it as the "Halo Killer". That might be a bit of a stretch but it does look intresting.

Just a bit of a stretch, i've looked into geist myself, but it's interest level is on par to that of .. oh.. what was the title.. some having to do with telekinisis and First Person Shooting. Besides that, I don't Mario Kart Online is gonna hurt the PSP at all, the Sony handheld is much more powerful than the little DS, providing better graphics and sound as well as a larger backlit screen. Ontop of that, you can still play movies on the thing, IE, FF7 Advent children i think is due this November. Not to mention the PSP online awaitee, Infect, i think it's called, im not sure, i dont own one my self. Anyways, it has something to do with creating your own character thats a mutant zombie thing, and you kill someone online, thusly infecting his character so it become a mini copy of your's, and if he kills somebody, than your avitar is passed on, and so on, allowing your avitar to practically dominate the entire market, i thought it was a pretty awesome idea. Plus don't the PSP's have better wireless connections? With the software called SkyHawk and the PSP's built in wireless card, it can communicate to other PSP's within a hundred foot radius.

Damn, I can't remember the name of that psychic game too. Psy-Ops? I'd look it up but I'm lazy. Intresting online game but I wouldn't want to go online just to serve as someone's zombie mutant slave. The DS's wireless range is supposedly shorter but I've heard talk that you can get 100ft of wireless in some cases. I'm guessing at optimum conditions such as no objects in the way & the DS's are facing each other. The one time I've ever played someone they were sitting right next to me so I have no clue. How many games does the PSP have? The guy at my job only ever plays NFL or NBA Street. The movies are worthless to him since he owns a portable DVD player.

Oh, lol, that makes sense, anywho, the PSP has a ton of games, so no worries, Just look em up on www.gamespot.com I think one of the favorites that i've tried was called something like.. uhh.. *thinks* Wipeout Pure, that's it. http://www.gamespot.com/psp/driving/wipeout/index.htmlIt's like F-zero with a MGS feel to the looks. The screenshots there are pretty bad, it actually blurs around your little zipcraft depending on how fast you go.

I can't believe I missed a game discussion. Oh well, I'm gonna put in my two cents anyway.
The psychic fps you're thinking of is, I believe, called Second Sight. Didn't look half bad. Geist, unfortunately, doesn't hold a candle to Halo. Geist's gun fights are more similar to those of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark from the 64. The posession puzzles are pretty cool though.
Switching to the topic of the two wireless handhelds... I've heard that the PSP's battery life isn't that great, but people tend to exxagerate. Playing movies doesn't interest me too much simply because I'd rather watch them on a much larger screen, with other people... There is an FF7 title in the works for the PSP, but otherwise the only title I'm interested in on that handheld is the Dark Stalkers game. I've heard that there may be a port or similar DS game on the PS2 though.
If I buy either of the two, it will likely be the DS. Nintendogs has caught my eye, and I've been interested in Kirby Canvas Curse for a while. A Megaman Battle Network game has been scheduled for release, and a Lunar game is already on store shelves. Mario Kart might hold my attention for a bit if I can play it on a wi-fi connection, but I wouldn't buy a DS just for that... And there's a chance, even a tiny one, that Jump All-Stars might make it overseas.

Im not sure how long the DS can stay alive, but the PSP can last up to 4 hours, and it's recharhable, takes about 3 hours to recharge i think, that and you can connect it straight to the wall. Kirby does look excellent, though, and the Dogs seems to be really fun. I've never found mario kart fun, any racing game where you shoot childish objects at eachother isn't very attention grabbing for me. >.o
