"Yeah...at the moment if even Jaereth tried to swim in it, there wouldn't be enough room for anyone else, it's nowhere near the size of the one in the Weyr bowl." He admited. "It's a bit overgrown, we've been pulling out thorns and weeds, but extra hands would make it go a bit faster, especially if we tried to widen it without tipping off everyone you can name that it's there. I think they're trust worthy enough....what do you think K'hin?"

Why not use claws? Datiath asked N'tren. Between me and Jaereth it will be dug in no time.
And that, my dear bronze, it why I love you. N'tren responded. Outloud, "Dat has had a good idead. Why not ask our dragons to dig? Is there clearing enough for him or Jaereth to land and scoop out dirt?"
Splotch was now attempting to climb up and see where all the food was coming from. The little bronze chirped grumpily when he saw there was no food on N'tren's head.

"Well.... I" starts J'est...and then... stops embarised. "I, can't swim." he admits embarised. "I don't know how..."
He looks down and a touch away, he feels a faint murmer of //mine// in his head... and blinks at it. He wonders if the dragon knows how to swim...and wonders if they will think less of him for not knowing how to swim. A silly thought... R'ael seems nice enough... so do the others.

"Unfortunaly no...the pool is pretty sheltered or I do belive we would have thought of that. Jaereth no longer fits." And Jaereth was a blue and smaller then most dragon except the greens.
"I can swim but not gracefully..a lot of splashing and akwards motions. Maybe we can bully R'ael in to giving actual lessions." K'hin said eyes gleaming. "What do you think R'ael? Care to be a teacher? So I stop floping around like a wounded fish?"

N'tren thought for a second. "If Jaereth doesn't fit then Datiath will never fit. As for swimming, I have gotten better at it since taking my beastie to the Inner Coast for cleaning."
Datiath, in the meanwhile, had looked around at the other dragons on the ledge. Bugling a welcome to some of the others, he spoke to Jaereth. He had seen the blue last when there was Threadfall. Do you fly well, Jaereth?

The utter mess of emotions and thoughts were counteracting the natural tiredness of hatching, causing Toranth to flap his wings out. All the riders, all the humans down to the lowest of drudges, were out there....along with his own M'haal. So why couldn't the little bronze go too?
Coming to you.
He scrapped the skin of his forelegs while getting down from his stone couch, out of fatigued carelessness, ignoring the questioning thoughts his partner sent his way.
*
"I think I might give this party a miss though Layn. Toranth isn't settling." M'haal offered a sheepish smile, and downed the rest of his drink quickly. Shard it. He just had to get in a muddle hadn't he? Despite that, the weyrling smiled at his fellow rider as he got up and said his goodbyes swiftly - it was quite a way back to where the dargonets were. "I'm sure I'll see you soon...have a good time."

"We...sort of left the tree cover because it would keep it private if someone flew over." R'ael explained, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepish chuckle. "But yeah, I imagine I could teach you a bit about swimming. Shouldn't be too hard." He noted, nodding thoughtfuly. "You went to the coast? I haven't been back that way since I got here..." He sounded a bit whistful at the thought. "Been too busy."
Jaereth made an warble of self satisfaction at this question as he answered Datiath, stretching his wings with pride. I think so. We are swift, and strong. Perhaps not so strong as you, but strong.

rimedragona Remia smiled and colored lightly as he took her hand, it seemed she was forever blushing around him. "I'm sorry, Imrin, I always seem to be dashing about, never enough time for anything," she said, and then turned to the others. She tilted her head towards Orana, and made introductions, "Imrin, this is my friend Orana; she recently Impressed brown Ilorith." She nodded down to the small brown at the taller girls feet. "I'm afraid I'm new to the others, though," she added. "Congratulations." He mumbled to the other girl and favoured them with a nod, but his attention stayed with Remia. "You've been that busy?" He shook his head, playfully affecting a disappointed exression, then made a show of looking her over. "I heard there was an injury in the fall? How did you make do with that?" Mismatched eyes flicked to her face from their inspection of the rest of her and he grinned. "You seem fine...or are you hidin' bandages and whatnot under your dress where I can't get at 'em yet?"

"It never really came up about what to do about the tree cover..."He trailed off before looking at both R'ael and N'tren. "Would it be possible to get an umm map made from dragon back? Then we can plan how we are going to get the dragon's there without attracting everyone."

Remia's pink nose bloomed into a full blown blush at his look. "Ah, n-no... it wasn't me, it was Trith... and she's fine. It was only a minor wound, thanks to her speed going Between. It's already healed over, thank goodness," she said.
Then, trying to regain some of her composure, she tilted her head to one side. "Were you worried?" she asked, peering up at him.

"Well I could trim the tree cover back a bit, then we can worry from there about what to do. Or we just deside weather or not we want to...well...move our hangout to someplace more accessable." He suggested, spreading his hands faintly.

Imirin pretended not to notice the blush and took a sip of his wine. "'Course I was worried. Last thing we need is a pretty rider gettin' all scored." He glanced down at her and flicked one of the wrapped tails of hair over his shoulder. "Besides, you see, I like makin' contacts with talented people, and you seemed talented. How's that shawl going, my little weaver? Or have you been too busy for that as well? Am I only goin' to see you at gathers, is that it?"

"How much tree cover does it have currently?" He asked wondering how much could be cut back...how big...or small the pool was. And a little guilty. Inviting more people seemed to have turned the 'perfect hiding spot' into a problem area for size.

"Oh...A fair bit. We could show you at some point..." he shrugged again. "It's a bit more overgrown than it was, but I don't think it could be easily seen by flyover. Or thats my opinion. I've never actually just winged overhead to check."

"We could go now if you are intrest," K'hin said moving back and forth on his feet. "I doubt anyone going to be curious or notice us admist all the celebrations."
