((Meepness. The hurricane passed by my house and the power was out since 5 this morning. It only just came back around half an hour ago..))
Jizzy spotted Sin and, giving a small glance back at Sanar and CHao, then the orb, waved over to Sin for her to come. She had to see this. One of them already a gryphon and the other undergoing some sort of change.. THis was some interesting festival.

Progolo, a short distance off, didn't miss the excited murmur that passed through those gathered shortly following the tinkle of breaking glass. He turned, curious. The woman, 'kaaaaaaaaaaay-o', as Yaraif called her, was holding something small and sleek in her arms.
"It's one of them..." Progolo murmured.
Yaraif, still sucking on her sweet, looked in the direction of his gaze. "Heke?" she asked. Progolo didn't answer. He wished he could get a closer look, but he didn't want to just stomp over there. Besides, the woman probably wanted to be alone.
He squirmed. His curiosity would have to wait.

((I'm glad you're okay, Jizzy! Hurricanes can be scary . . .))
Foenix also saw shards of glass, and hurried over to see what was happening. She hoped nothing too important had been broken beyond repair. As she ran, she hitched Nehanda up higher on her shoulder, and the little girl responded by yawning and lifting her head sleepily.
"What's up, guys?" Catching sight of the new gryphon, Foenix caught her breath. "Oh, how wonderful! What's her name?"

Chao finally looked up at the small crowd near her, throwing herself out of a sleepy daze she seemed to have caught from Sanar.
"Oh, this is Sanar," she said with a small smile, gaze shifting back to the gryphon resting on her lap "San, want to say hello?"
The gryphon looked back at the large people who'd come over with her keen dark eyes. There were so many of them, each so different. She took each of them in before clicking quietly and ruffling her wings in quiet greeting; still feeling sleepy.

((I'm quite used to it. I was surpised the power went out though, it wasn;t a very strong hurricane compared to others we've had.))
Jizzy took a soft seat next to Chao and eyes Sanar curiously. The Aerandir intrigued her greatly. She gazed into dark eyes, as if trying to read some unknown secret locked inside of her, but soon gave up.
"Do you think she'll mind if I pet her?"
She asked Chao, expectantly.

Osusuki spun around as he heard an odd noise from across the festival ground. It was sort of high pitched. Kinda like the noises that bottle made when he rolled it about, but louder and...different.
"Hey! Yassu!" The child rushed over to his guardian and tugged on the sleeve of his yukata. "Look!" he said, pointing over in the direction of the noise, and the gathering little crowd. Something cool was happening, and he wasn't there! He followed up with a hopeful "Go?", before pulling more insistently on Ieyasu's sleeve.
Ieyasu glanced up at the sound of the shattering glass. Odd. Why would people gather like that if someone had broken a glass? "Alright, alright. I'm coming." Allowing the eager little kid to pull him over, he glanced curiously at the gathering. He couldn't actually see anything that was going on from where he was.

Chao smiled as Jizzy sat next to her then peered down at Sanar, "no... I don't think she would mind."
The gryphon was certainly enjoying having her Guardian pet her as, after Jizzy had sat down she'd curled herself up a bit more, so that her entire body fit onto Chao's lap, save her tail.

Jizzy raised ehr hand slowly and moved it towards Sanar.. She gulped and brought it down on her head and gently stroked down her back. She remembered the things she learned once with cats, that you only stroke in one direction and did so..
"Hello Sanar.. I'm Jizzy.."
She said, introudcing herself to the young gryphon although she wasn;t sure Sanar could understand.

Sanar responded eaily to the stroke, arcing her back slightly against the touch and making a deep sound, punctuated by the occassional click. She wasn't quite asleep yet and as Jizzy spoke her ears flickered, catching the teen's voice so that she could identify who was speaking to her without opening her eyes.
Chao smiled, glad the gryphon on her lap was responding well. Sanar's obvious tiredness struck her as a bit odd, after the enthusiastic greeting she'd given her. But then again, coming into the world probably took a lot out of you.

Jizzy smiled broadly as she saw the Aerandir react well to her touch. She removed her hadn after a few more strokes, not wanting the new-born Aerandir to confuse her with her guardian or anything. She was slightly paranoid about those sort of things..
"You're really lucky, Chao.."
She said, smiling and moving her hand to her jar instinctively.

Chao took it up after Jizzy stopped, moving her hand slowly over Sanar's tan pelt, soon the little gryphon had drifted off to sleep.
She smiled, "thank you, I can't wait to send a copy of the picture home, her older sister will be estatic." As Jizzy hand moved to Tobais' jar her eyes followed. "And Tobais will be here soon, if the glowing of his jar is any indictation." She gave her friend's shoulder a squeeze.

Progolo returned to searching for coins, though he was watching the small crowd around Chao out of the corner of his eye. Yaraif didn't even try to be inconspicuous. She just stared in that direction, nibbling on the super-sweet candy.
Progolo was quickly frustrated. His attention just wasn't focused enough to look for tiny cold coins. He was begining to wish he'd allowed Yaraif to bring that overly fluffy chick-like animal she'd been raising; it had a fetish for shiney objects.
He gave up. He was sure he'd seen a Polar Bear this time. A rather smallish polar bear, but one nontheless.
"Let's investigate, shall we?" he muttered to Yaraif. Yaraif cocked her head in question, not understanding.
"So glad you agree," Progolo nodded.
With a mixture of anxious curiosity and embarrassment, he made his way over towards the newly emerged Gryphon.

Yaraif finally finished her candy and snuggled into Progolo's neck. His enchantment with the Gryphon was interupted by a cringe; she was making him all sticky.
Grumbling, he loosely gripped her small body and pulled her out of his hair. "Ene, Yaraif, ene saa. Ero...sticky." Progolo told her in broken kunkunese, which translated to 'no yaraif, don't do that; you're sticky'.
"Itket," she giggled fiendishly, meaning 'sorry'. She'd understood him, at least.
The two of them were now close enough to see more than brief glimpses. In fact, Progolo was tall enough to see over the others there, and had quite a view.
He exhaled in amazement. "Beautiful..."

Chao was quietly humming a tune to herself but she looked up as she caught some of the kunkunese and waved to the due with her free hand when she caught sight of them. "Hello again, Progolo, Yaraif," she greeted warmly.
On her lap Sanar's tail twitched at the new voices through her sleep. It settled after a moment and she slept on.

Yaraif pointed at Sanar and burbled in kunkunese, occaisionally making clucking, cooing noises at the sweet little Gryphon. Progolo nodded in response, having had no idea what she'd said.
"Where...where did that come from?" Progolo asked in amazement, sidling a little closer.
