FanFicGuru Streamjumper Dr. Fomite I just got the game installed and started playing last night. Didn't even finish going through the Academy, so I'm still not entirely sure what I'm doing, but it's enough like Baldur's Gate that I'm getting the hang of things. Depending on how tonight's going, I may try downloading everything I need to get onto multi-player tonight. whee If you make a new character tonight, maybe a few of us will make new characters to level with you. I'd be down...I wanted to try out a Monk. If she doesn't, I got a nice bow today and I'm almost to Arcane Archer levels... I could use a badass tank.

Blah. I'd be up for it, but I still need to get all the server files downloaded, for which I apparently need to be a member of the forum first (or so the link to the Downloads page tells me), which I apparently cannot do until a forum admin approves it. So I guess I'm still waiting to join. Unless anybody's up for trying to send the zip files?

Paladin4/Sorc1/RDD4
Fighter8 - going Champ of Ataya (Torm) and then weaponmaster
Cleric6 - pure cleric, caster mostly, but can mix it up with buffs
Wizard5 - pure wizzie
Druid3 - pure druid
Fighter2 - Future AA
Monk2 - remaking old monk
Barb1 - Future warrior Bard
Sorc1 - pure sorc

Skizzors Got to level 7. (Wizard 3, Pale Master 4) ALSO GOT A PRETTY DRESS WHEE. heart Don't forget that for every two levels of Pale Master, you get another caster level of arcane spells. This means that while you're only a 3rd level wizard, you cast spells as if you were level 5. This means you can now cast 3rd level spells, and should head over to Paradan to grab some. I highly reccomend Fireball and/or Scintilating Sphere (5d6 over a huge area), Mestil's Acid Breath, Haste, and Vampiric Touch.

Wizard cannot do. gonk If you and Mala are of comparable levels, you could try partying with her, since I think the two of you tend to be on at similar times. Another person who you'd probably do well with is Whitejoker. He's fighting a lot of Ogre Mages who tend to put up concealment and pound him with spells. Another thing to keep in mind is (assuming that you aren't already) to keep both your summoned undead and a spell-summoned critter out there if possible. The more stuff you have summoned to tank for you, the better. Then you can sit back and blast the hordes rushing at you. Lastly, whenever you level, put all the points you can into concentrate. It'll help you take a hit and still get your spell off.
