Silver_Soranai Minutes is a really great album. It's such a huge variety; really different, yet familiar at the same time. Sadly I have not bought the new album yet, but I have heard at least 6-7 songs off the album.

I really did love the album. It sounds so Linkin Park, yet so different from Meteora. Even their softer soungs sounded like them! Linkin Park is successful in this one area, making a recognisable sound which identifies them. Cool!
I didn't really like the vulgarities though, it made me cringe. I guess I can listen to the album and cover my ears everytime a vulgarity comes up. In terms of vulgarity, I'm quite disappointed. I though they always maintained that they prefered to use other descriptive words to articulate their emotions and not resort to vulgarity. It's like a lowering of standard for them.

I really love the album, but for those of you who think they have 'gone mainstream' or don't sound like themselves or whatever...watch the DVD they had with their special edition disc. I've seen part of it on a d'Fused episode and I'm sure it'll be on youtube. But it really shows what the band thinks about the album and what they've become. I think it would fully answer your questions and your why's. Even though I loved the album to begin with, I understand a lot more without really questioning.

Well, this is the first time that a LP song/album has made me cry, so I'm saying that this album may be one of their best. heart heart heart

Minutes to Midnight... was crap. There's only like three good songs on it. They took away the whole hip hop/rap theme I adored. They turned into an unoriginal boy band. And what's with the new logo? Sadly, this was the worse album they've put out. Bring back the old LP!

I was kind of disappointed in this album...
I watched the D'fused stuff and understand what they're doing and have nothing but respect for them in their decisions regardless. I know they want to get away from the 'nu-metal' image and do something more mature...
I like that they're looking to change and pushing themselves....
But musically, it's not what I like Linkin Park for. It is a 'mainstream' sound I guess. Don't get me wrong.... Chester still has an amazing voice and I loved that Mike was able to actually sing a song, but they took away the whole rap/rock sound that made me love them in the first place. It's all just singing with very little of the screams/rap that make it fun and upbeat.
I dunno....hopefully it'll grow on me...

well the 1st tym I downloaded it I downloaded another version, or should I say a fake?
so I downloaded again and man it's so good!

I like Minutes, but I personally think they could have done a little more. It just doesn't have the energy of Hybrid Theory or Meteora.

I am still undecided on the album. The softer songs are different in a good way but part of me is still missing the old sound. It'll take a few more listens for me to get my true feelings on it.

the slower songs on minutes to midnight are great... but i think the up tempo songs were below linkin parks usual energy, with the exception of Given Up

I dont like there new album to much some songs are good some are just plain ugh...
I mean what happened to what made them orgianl not only is the music much slower but the lyrics are down right lame on some songs
I miss the old linkin park sound
