Aryel chirruped and flapped her great creamy wings against the wind that flew through her feathers. It felt delicious and clean and magical, and the bird was inspired by the kernels that drifted into its consciousness.
Do not worry, he will be saved- Though oh so different So different Will be Little boy, Little girl- so much attention she takes Sea mountains quake Hearts breakLucia huffed, as if to say "Stupid Bird". Then it pulled from beneath its wing a brown and red pendant- twisted in several shapes but undeniably an object that was not in the wagon before.
She dropped it to the earth, then gave a look that was entirely too pleased with herself...

Marissa perked at Aryel's first word, and grew stock-still as she spoke. She listened, carefully, grabbing for a quill and jotting words down.
he will be saved so different little girl attention ? sea quake hearts break
damn bird
Marissa peers at her crude list. She didn't need it- she remembers the words on her own. Reaching across the table, she slides to her the candle that she always keeps so near. The words don't mean much to her. Little girl? Who? She sighs, when she is distracted by a clunk on the floor behind her.
Turning, Marissa instantly notices a glimmer of light bouncing off of the facet of an object. It is gold, and brown, and it rocks back and forth on one of its curved edges as it settles- but she does not recognize it. Slowly, the gypsy apprached the object and picks it up, glancing at Lucia, who seems immensly proud of herself.
With a sudden resolve, Marissa grabs Kale from the table, puts the stange object in her hip-purse, and strides out of the wagon. It is time to confer with her caravan.

Marissa lifted her nose out of her book and listened, startled. She felt her brow furrowing as the prophecy commenced, and as Aryel fell silent, she ran her hands over her face in agitation. Kale? Could he really be in danger again, so soon? After all he had been through already, it seemed positively cruel of the meij to bring him more trouble. She sighed deeply, and knowing that there was nothing else she could do, returned to her reading. The dried buddleia flower which she had picked from the path at the Port was holding her place.
Kale has been playing outside when Aryel began speaking, and his mother hadn't known he had heard. He was silent as he heard it, and silent when it was over, but something troubled his youthful face.

Lucia was glad to be back- though she was irritated, as always, at the sight of other Banyas. She bristled, and dropped 130 couplets on the floor.

Kale thought himself very lucky that no one was around. It was only him and grouchy Lucia, and she had just scattered a small fortune on the floor of the wagon. He gasped in delight, and made his way to the shiny coins on the floor. 10, 20, 50...more than one hundred sparkling, glittering yellow circles on the floor in front of him. They shone in a most seducing way, and the more he thought about it, the less it seemed like his mother needed all those coins anyway...
He counted up 100 couplets and swept them into his hand. His pockets were soon full, and his face was lit up by a gleeful smile.

Aryel puffed up as the cold wind buffeted roughly around the bird.
Fire melts the ice, and the dog saves the cat.
Lucia leaned against the wall as the wind blew through the bird's feathers, allowing nothing of the cold to get into it's joints.
cannot walk, cannot speak, cannot fly, cannot love...
how will you stop the nothing, if you are made of nothing yourself?
