::the moment she hears them say she should never have been born, she snaps. she didn't even notice as the curtains suddenly caught fire, too focused on Ashley's parents. marching right back in, she puts herself between Ashley and the two adults and snaps:: how can you say that to your own kid! she was badly hurt and you don't even care! what kind of lousy parents are you?! YOU'RE the ones who shouldn't have been born!

Her father, who is the one who said she never should have been born, smirks. "We aren't her real parents. She's just adopted, and now we've figured out why. Who are you, anyway?"

Ashley can't reply, she's coughing from the fumes of the burning cheap drapes, and trying to pat out flames on her bed. Her father just smiles, well, at least she knows she adopted, now. The two turn and leave, leaving the room on fire.

::seeing the fire finally, she swears mentally and pulls the burning blanket off of Ashley then stamping out the fire on it and uses it to smother the flames on the curtains. once all the fires were safely out, she opened the windows wide and waved some of the smoke out::

"You aren't the only one with. . . well something, I don't know what to call it." reaches over and picks up a cart that has several heavy looking machines on it with one hand, not to mention she's laying down. She sets it down carefully.
