Kathen looked at Ruby sceptically, and nodded. "Alright. But you should get back inside. There's mines here." He turned and saw AC leaving with a Private, and walked over. He carefully avoided the mines and frowned as he caught up. "Hey..." He said to them. "Was your squad attacked? I think I have their tags..."

Ruby smiled, "Thanks for the concern, Sug. I'll do just that, It looks like most folks have been taken care of." She waved and headed to the shelter.

"Yeah, they were..." PFC Green looked up at Kathen with sorrow written all over his face. "They were wiped out, weren't they?"
Seeing an opportunity, A.C. leaned them closer to Kathen and subtly foisted PFC Green off on him. "Thanks for taking him the rest of the way, Kathen. Maybe stop off at this guy's house first? They'll be happy to see you, for once! blaugh "
And with that, she was off. Really, she'd spent far too long out here, and no doubt Mackie and Co. wouldn't expect her back even this soon, so it was a prime opportunity to get back into the City and peer around again.
As A.C. knew exactly where all the mines were (she put half of them there herself, in the dead of night) and no longer had a huge deadweight around to stumble on one accidently, she no longer had to worry about stepping on one.

Kathen shook his head at Green. "Yeah...they were..." Kathen took Green from AC, and smiled a little. "Thanks I guess. Where are you headed off to?" He then noticed that she was too far away to hear him and then left, returning to New Phoenix.

Miran slowly slides and rises up from the shadows of his tree upon his hill. ((Please tell me no one was stupid enough to put Mines on my hill stare )) His pale gaze locking back onto the valley that was before him and frowns. Standing there in wait and in watch for anyone who strayed off the beaten path.
