Amma frowned noticably at Enzo's voice and wanted to just kill herself then. It was after that she realized what a fool she was. Thinking that just because someone was kind enough to help her even a little that the whole world was right. It was wrong. So wrong. Ever since birth it had been wrong, and would never get better.
When she felt Cherokee moved she almost wanted to cling on to him, to hide herself some more, but let him help her to her feet. When he did, she immidiatly turned away and rubbed at her face, hands still trembling. She didn't want anyone to see her look so pathetic. She was AMMA for godsakes. When did she ever get as low as to be emotional and clingy. God...she was turning into her sorry excuse of a mother, something she vowed would never happen.
Rubbing a sleeve under her nose she sniffed loudly and took quite a couple deep breaths, trying to steady herself. Collect everything lock it up and become the Amma that everyone knew, the fake person she made to immune herself against the reality of the world. A leader that no one could talk back to, a leader who (quite literally) could kill any person in the park with a simple word to her members. Thank God none of them were here...instead...
She finally put on her normal cold looking face and turned back around, stomach growling in the process. (Having eaten only half a crappy Mc.Donald breakfast.) When Cherokee spoke she laughed slightly. "Sorry...I...I'm not usually like this...I've never been like this. I dunno what's wrong with me. I'm losing my mind, more so than I already lost." She then looked towards the girl, her eyes darknening a bit before smiling kindly at her. "Yeah...you guys go...and then you'll never have to see my face again." When he asked about the cell phone she frowned and looked towards Enzo.
"You're stupid." She stated rather bluntly. "If you loose a cell phone in these parts it's best said it's gone. Never gonna get it back again." However she went to her answer. "I haven't seen any cell phone but my own which I want to throw out at this point and move to South Carolina." She laughed at herself and picked up the keys that had been thrown to the ground.
"I'd be careful though, Shooter," She said to Enzo, "if anyone got a hold of that thing, you'll want to watch your back as if a pack of wild dogs with rabies are after ya. Cause that's what they all are, your's and mine. If I do see it...I'll make sure to try to get it back to you." All this was said as quickly and swiftly as possible while she opened the car door.
"That's gonna cost some money..." She said to herself back the chipping and large dent in the door. Tears still threatened her eyes and her stomach still wanted to puke up any food she had eaten. She started to get into the car, pulling at her pants while she did. "I've got to go..." It was though she had no other choice, her voice dark and tired. She had to face Darius again, try to make him believe her, which she knew he'd never beleive her ever again, and maybe even get beat sense into again. She loved the man...he was her only friend...but he never managed anger right and betrayal was something he hated the most, to the point that if he thought seeing Cherokee and Enzo as betrayal...he'd kick her off...for good.
"Yeah. Like that's gonna be easy to do...such a hard d**k head." she said, glaring at nothing in particular. "Maybe I should get him coffee first...he likes coffee..." Talking to herself...yet again.
((GOSH she so darn depressing to write for. D: Hahaha. Jeebus.))

((Haha I luff meh Enzo! *clings to him then wonders if he smells bad.... probably*))
"Ah, mission it is then." Enzo said, reaching up to retrieve the imaginary walkie-talkie. "Kshhht, Little Eagle, come in, come in. Can you hear me? Over."
At Cherokee's inquiry of Enzo's phone, he looked to Amma, not daring to even think about looking hopeful. Not surprisingly, she basically called him stupid. Taking a deep breath, he waited for her to finish, "You don't think I know that?" he stated coolly, shifting Emily slightly; her wiggling had put her off balance. "That's why I plan on getting it back. I'm not going to be the one hunted. I'm going to get them first."
His tone DID lighten a bit, "Be sure you do. I've made my share of mistakes," Enzo paused. He really hated to admit it, but... "And this isn't the prettiest of them. Let Cherokee know if you do happen upon it. It's realyl REALLY important."
Giving a half-wave as she got in her car, he turned toward Cherokee, "Let's get moving then... We should probably scout out that alley..." He tugged at his ear, biting his lip. "Gah, Cherokee, I really really screwed up." He hit his forehead with the heel of his hand, but stopped when Emily caught his hand in her two smaller ones.
He could hear the pout in her voice, "Stop it, Uncle Enz, it's not nice to hit."
((Haha aww... Or something. YAY POST!))

((WOOO!... POSTEH AGAIN!!! And I feel like... weird... EMILY WAS TALKED FOR! WTF?! WTF, ALA?! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY IF YOU ALREADY SAID THINGS! *waves her arms and foams at mouth*
... kidding!
... BUT SERIOUSLY WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?! I feel weird when people do that! *WHINES!*))
Cherokee only smiled at her explanation. He shook his head a little, but said no words. Had he had the words and had it had been safe for him to say them he would have replied that she could have stayed in his arms as long as she was able. Though, he did not have these words and it wasn't safe, so he was only able to smile.
His smile left him though at her remark of never seeing her face again and he instead looked to Enzo, and then squinted into the distance. His trademark expressionless face had returned. Amma then proceeded to tell Enzo that he was stupid and no she hadn't seen the cell phone, but she'd keep an eye out. Cherokee exhaled slightly as she then remarked on having to leave and watched as she climbed into her car.
Cherokee strode forward before she slammed the door closed and held it open with a large hand. "Be careful." He managed, eyes drifting to the bruises on her face before he nodded his head and slammed the door closed.
He then turned to see Emily laughing a little at Enzo's walkie talkie impression. She grabbed his fist and shook her head so hard her curly pony tail fwapped around her face. "No, no! I don't want to big an eagle!" She whined at him. "I want to be a race car! You can be the little eagle and Cheif will be Chief!"
Cherokee gave a little laugh and joined Enzo at his side. "She has a point. Hitting is not nice... and it'll be ok, I said we'll find it so we'll find it." He grinned up at his daughter and cuffed her chin. "I'm telling ya, this kid is genius. She'll cure cancer."
"And buy lots of racecars!" Emily added happily. "And a new bed for Uncle Enz! He looks like he needs a nap." She touched his face lightly with her little fingers. "It looks like his face is gunna fall off!" She laughed loudly at her own joke, giggling brightly.
Cherokee nodded his head. "Be sure to keep your hands on his face, it might really fall off... and I forgot the tape from the last time it fell off." He flashed Enzo a smile and began to walk towards their destination.
"Let's go!" Emily exclaimed breathlessly, her little hands still placed lightly on Enzo's face to keep it from falling off.
((hahaha, she LIKES race cars.))

Amma smiled to Enzo for what seemed like the first time after meeting him. "Yeah, I know mistakes." she said shamefully. "Probably more than humanly possible." She raised a hand and was about to close the door when Cherokee strode over and held it open. By now it would be immune to her, his sudden appearings and goings, but she still jumped a bit. Then wanted him to lean closer but simply laughed and nodded.
"Hey...you're talking to Miss Careful with capital C." Sarcasm was obvious in her tone. "You should be the one that's careful. Okay? I don't want to be seeing you next time when your dead." When he slammed the door shut she yelled bye at him and revved the car up, making the gas burst loudly and a smile spread on her face, kid like excitement.
She looked towards him and his kid, her heart longing to have been that happy. Jealousy made her glare at this however she then smiled and started to back up, quickly but skillfully. She then turned and sped out of the parking lot.
((Haha I already got something typed up for next...))

((OMGS I AM TEH SORREH, AKA! *clings* I shall never does it again! *cries and posts*))
Okay, maybe Amma wasn't so bad. At least she'd given him a smile... And for but a moment, he felt he could relate to her. After all, beneath the reputation and the lifestyle and the actions, people were people. Plain and simple. "Yeah," he muttered, watching her speed off.
He then turned his head so he could see Emily, "Alright, alright, I'll be the little eagle, Cherokee's Chief, and you are RACECAR." Then a pout of sorts crossed his face, "Yeah, hitting isn't nice... And think she can cure my shoulder?" He rotated the aching joint, wishing it wasn't so stiff... And that he hadn't forgotton those painkillers they'd perscribed him the previous night. Enzo had a feeling it'd be more than just uncomfortable before the day was out.
At Emily's nap comment, Enzo barked out a laugh and started walking out of the park, shaking his head, "I'm not THAT tired, Em's. ((Haha nickname for her?)) Just a little worn out." He winced at her touch, turning that movement more into a glare at Cherokee. "Forgot the tape again? If I lose my face one more time, the doctor said it might not go back on right." He patted Emily's hands with his own and started off at a trot after Cherokee, whose steps were far larger than his own.
A few moments later, Enzo cupped his hand over his mouth, "Kssshht, Racecar, racecar, this is little eagle. Come in, racecar. Chief is outwalking his fellow mission-goers, over. Tell him to slow down, over." He was doing his best not to keel over and try to get his lungs to start working again. It was hard enough keeping up with Cherokee, but carrying a little four-year-old weight on his shoulders wasn't helping. Neither was the fact he hadn't eaten properly, and was wanting another hit. "I hate stress..." He muttered to no one in particular.
"Oi, Cherokee... This isn't the way to that alley... What's on your mind?"

((Hhaha, OKAY READY GO! Then I'm off to work... meeerblah! *laughs* I dun wanna go.... -.-))
Emily giggled and waved her arms. "Hey Chief! You need to slow down! Little Eagle's legs are short!" She gave yet another laugh, and hugged Enzo around his neck, though very gently. "I think he's too tired to carry me... and he's all streeeesssed again. Poor Uncle Enz, you'll get wrinkles. Let's trade!"
Cherokee turned around distractedly and stopped. "The wrong way?" He echoed, letting Enzo catch up.
He gazed at the ground for a moment, and then shook his head at Enzo's question. Emily held out her arms to her father and he placed her upon his back. "She had bruises on her face." Was what he said.
Emily blinked and fiddled with Cherokee's hair a little. "Is that why she needed a hug?" She asked. "I like hugs when boys hit me... but then I beat them up."
"That's right, kiddo." He answered with a smile and bent his head around to kiss one of her small hands. "You lead the way, Enzo." He said, waiting expectantly.
((hahahaha, THE END.))

Amma stood at the night club, which one weekdays was only open to a select few. And of course any place was open to her, either out of fear, or admiration. She had taken a slightly longer course, talking deep meditative breaths to calm herself down and not vomit in her baby. Her arm ached more now, having to hold a bag of secret items that were delivered to a secret place that she had secretively picked up.
Finally she opened the doors and looked at Joker who was frowning, looking extremely tired and worried. Worried about Amma and tired because Darius probably went to him after he yelled at Amma. Joker was a rather dashing young man, 20 years of age, tanned skin, and standing at a well rounded 6'0". Joker was a closer friend to Amma than she had realized now. Maybe Darius wasn't her true friend...maybe...
Joker looked up with his bright green eyes as Amma came in, a wide smile on his face. "Amma! God, you said you weren't gonnas come!" He exclaimed in a thick new york accent. He looked at the bag and obediently took it from her, glancing at her bruises, eyes darkening but saying nothing. Amma smiled at him, glad someone else was there to see if anything happened.
"Where were you?" Darius muttered darkly, not bothering to even look at her, he was standing away from her, large arms folded over his chest. "I told you not to leave anywhere without telling."
At this Amma laughed coldly. "I'm guessing you won't take the coffee then. Since I must have tainted it with my disobedience right? Masters don't take stuff from their dogs." She spat at the ground and watched his body tense, no longer caring if he would beat her up anymore. Why care? It'd happen from someone else anyways. "I'm only coming by to let you appoligize, then I'm going home."
"How are you supposed to go home now? We have lots of work to do today."
"WE? Hah, you. You have lots of work today Darius. You."
He finally turned around, his face in a permanent scowl and brows wrinkled. "What? You're the leader, you need to take responsibility once in a while."
"ONCE IN A WHILE?" She asked, her face twisting into startlment and disgust. "PLEASE! Every day and night my life is consumed by Sting, do you think you can go of with saying I don't take responsibility? God, shut the heck up Darius. Your stupid." Amma started towards the door but Darius grabbed her bruised shoulder she almost let out a cry of pain but clenched her teeth and hissed.
"Amma."
"Let go. Don't ever touch me again."
"Darius." Joker interupted and was about to push his hand aside until his boss sent him a death glare and he backed away.
"You don't understand, I..."
"You what? You enjoy causing me pain while I'm already in a mental breakdown?! IS THAT IT?! Taking advantage of me while I'm weak for all those times I yelled at you? What is it Darius? What?"
He pushed her against the wall and his lips were forced against her's. She felt her stomach twist even more and she struggled to get him away, groaning and wiggling around. What the hell was he doing? Why was everything happening to her at once! When he leaned back Amma starred at him with hate.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"
"I love you."
"You don't love me. You WANT me, and you hate what you can't have. And you'll never HAVE me. You won't. So you'll never love me." Tears swelled up in her eyes. "You don't beat someone you love. You know I know all about that. How...forget this, let me go." Darius kept hold of her. "LET ME GO DAMN IT!"
Joker finally took a stand and grabbed Darius's arm, pulling it away from Amma. "Darius...she's obviously stressed...let her walk it off or something."
While Joker played his part Amma stormed out of the club, threw up in the trashcan outside and felt her hands tremble again. Memories flooding back of her father. "I hate him..."
((Haha. Confusion! Gosh...and don't worry, she'll eventually get back to being herself...Imma make Joker get her happy... :] ))

Enzo, as much as he loved the little tyke, was quite grateful for her to be taken from him. It left him time to give a few wheezes and wipe away the sweat that had been beading on his forehead. He gave a weary sort of smile at the young lass and looked over to Cherokee, the smile turning to a thoughtful frown.
"That could have been from anything." But that answer didn't sound all that wholehearted. "Either way, she's alright... I don't like how distracted you've been though. It's not good, Cherokee." The glint in his dark eyes was quite obviously one of worry for his friend.
Once his breath was caught, he started down the street again, hand warily in a pocket (where he'd stuffed his gun), the other tugging at his hair. It really seemed a hopeless thing, trying to find that phone... "Hey, Cherokee, why not try calling it? Someone might pick up." He waved a hand at the larger man to get his own phone out. "If they're stupid, they just might... And we can keep them talking, maybe try and figure out where they are... Yeah, that might work."
Enzo then gave a groan and rubbed at his shoulder. It had started to throb a bit, and now that he was thinking about it, it wasn't about to leave him alone anytime soon. As an after thought, he glanced back at Emily, "I'm too young for wrinkles, you silly little girl." He smiled brightly, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. "Though, it WOULD be nice to stop worrying. Think you can fix me?"

((OK QUICK AKA POST!... and poor Amma...! O_O I'DA KICKED HM IN HIS BALLS!))
Cherokee's brows furrowed and he tried to give his friend a reassuring expression, but he did not seem to quite manage it. "I don't like it either." He admitted and stared off to the side briefly, but he came too. He'd never really tell Enzo exactly had been going through his head all this time, what was causing him to stare off so intently into space.
Though, he was tempted, tempted to just tell him what it was, but Enzo spared him this by suggesting he try calling the phone. Cherokee complied readily, hand already extracting his flip phone from his jean's pocket. Now wasn't the time. He pressed a button that had Enzo's number stored on it and stuck the phone into his ear with one hand, the other supporting his small daughter.
Emily frowned, and then turned her wide blue eyes (the only feature she had of her father's) onto Enzo. "You're not broken." She pouted, eyes bright. "You just complain too much." She said, but looked very close to tears.
Cherokee gave Enzo a look, and shushed Emily quietly. He held up a finger, someone had answered.

((Haha well...ya know...*shrug*))
Amma began walking quite angrily down the cold street, huffing out air like a bull. She was so damn frustrated with everyone and everything, why couldn't they be like the Brady Bunch or something? No, they had to be Darius. When she finally got to the library she scrunched her face up and walked inside.
Joker had taken to getting a sprawl out with Darius, equally matched, they both ended up storming out as well, opposite ways, Darius off to do some job, and Joker off to find Amma. He didn't want her to do something stupid that she'd regret later. If that wasn't ironic enough, Amma had done that last night.
He saw her walk into the library and frowned, turning around and leaning against the stair's stone banister. Librarys made him uneasy, made him feel stupid. So instead of chasing her inside the quiet (uneasily quiet) place he waited outside, licking his chapped lips as the cold wind pushed against him.
Finally Amma came out holding three large books and looking much more relaxed, though she was still very strung up and confused. When she saw Joker she looked at him curiously and walked up to him. "What's up?"
"That's what I should be asking you..."
"What do you mean?"
"Look, you don't have to tell me anything...but promise me you'll do something about it. You're opposite of yourself. Ya know? You'd have beaten Darius up back there, put a gun to his head or somethin' atleast have smaked him one."
Amma pouted quite childishly and walked past Joker, him following at her heels like a loyal dog.
"Do you beleive in love at first sight?"
Joker gawked at the woman in front of him. Did she just ask that? "The hell?" He caught up to her side, right when he felt a snowflake touch his nose. "What?"
"Answer me." She demanded, still pouting and making such a cute face that no one could resist.
"Er...I think so. Yeah. Yeah I do. I mean it's destiny. That's what it is." He smiled, having overcome a mighty feat in life, giving a woman advice. Amma nodded slowly and looked up as more flakes fell, melting on her cheeks and forehead. "Why'dya ask? Is that's what's bothering you? Love? Damn girl, that's something crazy aight there. Love is one messed up thing."
"Tell me about it." Amma whispered and shoved the books at Joker's chest, still frowning in thought. Joker took the books for her as they walked down the street.
"Ever spun around in snow?" He asked, a grin on his face.
"What?"
"It's fun."
"You're stupid."
"Come on. It's like rain, but better! Dancing in the snow, singing in the snow, whatever. Let it all out!" He dropped the books on a nearby fence post and lept about.
"JOKER!" She said, embarassed as people starred at him. "Stop!"
"Do it! DO IT!" He said, his almost white blonde hair now had a thin sheet of snow ontop of it, making him look even paler.
Amma stood silently and then shoved him while she spun, making sure her hands smacked his chest. She laughed loudly and then even more when Joker took her hand and began doing a little jig.
----
At the other end of the cell phone connection someone did indeed answer, but there were lots of other voices behind it that it was indistinguishable. "Hello." It sounded more of a threat than a greeting.
((Awwws, best of friends. x3 Haha I had to do that. So silly. I wanna dance in the rain...it's raining here. :[ And I'm not sure if you want me to make someone answer the phone? If you do I can edit the post. *nod nod*))

((OMG POST))
"I'm not broken?" Enzo gave a soft laugh and smiled gently at the young girl clinging to her father, "I'm glad to know you think so." He then drew his eyebrows together, frowning slightly at Emily's expression. She seemed upset. "Maybe I do complain too much..." But he trailed off at Cherokee's silencing movement.
It was obvious that someone had answered, and both Enzo and Cherokee knew that the bigger of the two wasn't much for long, useless conversation. So before Cherokee could even get a 'hello...' out, Enzo all but tackled him, snatching the phone from his large hand and popping it to his own ear. For a split second, he listened to the background, hoping to figure out just where his phone was. He then said in a very heavy accent, "'Ello? I do not fink you are ze right perzon I am tryink to kall. Who ees zis?" It then hit him that that might be a stupid idea.
Why? He had Cherokee's number in the phone's contact list. It'd come up as Sitting Bull (A long-running inside sort of joke). So, correcting the mistake, he cleared his throat and tried to ignore his shoulder, "Who is this?" he muttered, straining his ears to tune into the background noise.
Quickly covering the mouthpiece of the phone, he glanced over to Cherokee, "Doesn't your phone have that buddy becon thing?" Maybe they'd be able to locate the phone after all.

((Haha gonna post...I dunno if it matters...if it does I can delete it or whatever.))
Amma laughed even loudly as Joker grabbed her and spun her around, tilting her over and then lifting her up a bit. It made her mind completely forget about anything else, only living in the moment. The thrill and elation that emerged made her heart lift with every move he made her do.
Joker had always been just a kind hearted guy, making everyone laugh. (Hence the name Joker.) He joined Amma's gang when it first started, getting close to Amma and Darius right away, the three of them were a perfect trio, the serious, the brainy, and the humorous. At this point Amma was beginning to think she was confused on the closer one...Joker was tied now with Darius, maybe rising above him.
When Joker touched her butt jokingly, Amma was thrown from her confusion and she snarled, punching him in the arm, a grin on her face all the while. "You pervert."
He laughed at this and rubbed his arm. "You got bronze there girlie." He picked back up the books, rubbing snow off his blonde hair, and then rested a free arm around Amma's shoulders, making her grin and glare at him. "Keep at there buddy."
His green eyes brightened all of a sudden and he jumped a bit. "Hey, you know what will help you forget about your problems?"
"I'd give anything, what?"
"That dance club is opening tonight, the one on the neutral side of the city. Why don't we go? Maybe your secret lovey dovey will be there or something." His voice was happy, obviously thrilled at the dancing factor. He put the books ontop of his head and began to try to balance it while move about.
"I doubt he will...He doesn't seem like the type to dance or like that stuff." She laughed dimmly and looked to her feet, watching snow stick on the cement.
He frowned at her and squeezed her nose, causing her to jump and shove him. "Come on girl. So what if he isn't there? You atleast have me, a friend. It'll be just something different. Get dressed up, look girly for once, make yourself even MORE gorgeous than you already are. Okay? I won't take no for an answer. And you can help me catch some chicks or something."
She looked at him for a long while until sighing heavily, a cloud of breath coming into the air. "All. Right. But you better promise me you won't act stupid...and we're under cover, nothing too noticable. I don't want to be having to get into fights."
"Of course, of course. You're the master, master."
"Yes, slave, now go home...I'll pick you up and you can show me where it is."
--- On the other end the crowd grew louder, something obviously happening.
"I'm no one you want to mess with, that's who I am. And you best stay away. I've got your contacts in the palm of my hand. No playing around, buddy." One could clearly hear the snarl and sadistic grin on the person's face. That was when they hung up, the crowd hanging up with them.
((Haha so you guys can go to the club or something for some reason or another...I might make something exciting happens...I dunno.))
