Holly sat down beside her oldest brother and out of a slight bit of boredom, but more to cure her depression over the thought of Neo leaving, she innocently thwapped Halo hard with her tail, careful not to look at him or crack a smile. She, too, waited for her father to make the formal introductions around before saying anything more.
Blake finally arrived, the sight of his mate and the rest of his children awaiting their arrival made him smile in pride. For a moment, he wondered where Inari was, but he would seek her out...perhaps she was off hunting. "Ainluraine, I'd like you to meet my Queen, mate and Desert Rose, Synda...my oldest son, and Desert Angel, Halo...and of course you've already met Holly. Synda, Halo, meet Aine, Neo's mate." Stepping over till he was next to Synda, he lay down, but not before asking Holly to seek out the last member of their pride...Inari.
"Right away, Dad! Be back in a flash.." and with a rustle of holly leaves, the youngest greyish-green lioness was off in a flash to find the missing magenta lioness.

Synda smiled warmly at the star-struck lioness and bowed. "Ainluraine, it is a pleasure to meet. Neo is sure lucky to have a lioness like Ainluraine." She then flicked her ears in question. "Shall Synda call Ainluraine by true name, or Aine like Blake said?" The Queen didn't want to be too disrespectful to their guest, and wanted the lioness to be as comfortable a possible.
Halo got up and bowed. "Pleasure to meet the one that has stolen my brother's heart away." He winked slyly at Neo before flicking his tail. "Miss Ainluraine, I do hope that you find yourself comfortable here for as long as you choose to stay. The desert can be a bit harsh, but it is still a wonderful place. You just have to know where to look." He then settled again near to his father wondering where he sent Holly. Apparently, she was the pride's "messenger girl".

Neo smiled and looked at Halo as he winked. Rember tackle him later for the fun of it. He thought. He then notcied he really had not greated his mother yet. He stood up and nuzzled her then sat next to his mate. "Now we are here to stay intel we are ready. But we are not just going to like stay a day. So please don't go all depressed on me." He smiled and wraped his tail around his mates again. He hated when people were worryed over him or depressed because of him. He liked cheering people up not making them fell bad.

"Aine please," She said with a smile towards Synda. "Then it isn't so formal." She finished, purring when she felt Neo's touch. "I am sure the desert will be bareable with the company of a new family." She was very polite now for she truely enjoyed that fact that they are accepting her into thier pride. "I must say i admire your wings... Halo." She had to think of his name for a moment and blushed slightly in embaresment. "You have very lovely and polite children, Blake and Synda.

Synda gave a slight smile and settled on her belly. "Blake trained them well. If one is to be the son of Blake, one must know manners to woo a female. Apparently, it worked." She giggled a little and winked at Aine. She nuzzled against Blake's mane a little, her tail flicking. "Stay as long as Neo and Aine need be. Pride will always welcome back with open paws." She nodded to Neo before returning her head back down on Blake's maned neck.
"Thank you, Aine. I always thought them an oddity, but now I appreciate them much. Come in great for hunting." He gave a slight grin and stretched for a little while. Becoming slightly stiff, he settled on his chest letting a yawn go. Flying took a slight toll on him, but for the love of his brother and his mate, he would stay up as much as need be. Besides, he did that as a teenager anyway watching Holly constantly. She was as hyper as an adult as she was when she was a cub. He gave a chuff at his mother about the whole "polite children" thing. If only she knew them as cubs...

Neo laughed at his mothers comment. "Yes mom. Dad trained us well." He said smiling. This was one of his most happyist moments in his life, his beloved family got to meet his dearest mate. He smiled wider and waited for Holly to return. He Still felt really bad leaving.

(( Hopefully no one objects to this time skip. Basically, Neo and Ain have already left the Oasis. Halo has told his parents of a new found love, Songstress, and Synda and Blake are at it to have more cubs... xd ))
The Desert Flower gave a gentle sigh as she rested near the small stream of their home. She had dug out a trench from the stream to a small pool of water where she could stare at her reflection and drink.
The Oasis was quiet now. There was nothing much else to do. Synda didn't have to hunt as often seeing as there weren't as much mouths to feed as before. Neo had gone off with his mate, Ainluraine to their own pride.
Her son, Prince Halo, had recently told them news about a new female. He was current at their pride talking to the father of this Songstress. "Soon, Holly will leave too..." Synda murmured absently, giving off a slight sigh. "Many moons ago, Halo, Neo, and Holly were babies. Now children are grown." It left a heavy heart on Synda, but she was proud of her children. They were growing up and having families of their own.
She began to wonder how her mate, Blake, was taking it. He had been so quiet these past few days...It nearly broke her heart to see him like that.

((Hope I'm not stepping into any plots by tossing these two in.))
Zambarau Asadi sighed as he came upon an oasis. It was a lush green place, seeming so much like his old home with his old family. It would be a good place to keep the little Nieve safe. Not long ago he had stumbled upon the little cub and she'd told him of his old friend Atant who had been her protector but he had disappeared and she wasn't sure where he was now. She'd told him that he was in these lands. It had brought a renewed hope to him that he might actually find his family in these lands as well. However he had yet to find hide or hair of Atant or anyone else that was part of his old group. He was growing weary of searching and little Nieve could not keep going anymore. He knew it was time to take her somewhere where she'd be safe. Scenting the air he could tell that a pride lived in this lush land. What better place to settle if the pride would accept them.
Nieve stood next to Zambarau peering around at all the deep green plants. The place was certainly beautiful but Nieve didn't want to settle anywhere without Atant but he was gone... She had to get used to it. But could she ever get used to being without her friend and protector.
Zam glanced down at Nieve and smiled at her hoping to make her feel better about the idea. "It'll be ok Nieve. Someday maybe we'll find him but fer now ya really need a place to call home. Moving ya around so much is wearing ya down. And don't try ta tell me it ain't cause I can see it plain on ya face. We'll give this place a try if they'll welcome us and when ya get bigger we'll go look for our buddy." Zam told her getting a nod out of her. Giving a nod of his own he turned his head back towards the prides land and let out a loud roar announcing their presense to the pride.

Blake was laying in the shade of a few trees and trying to beat the heat of the sun. Lightly dozing he was thinking of his family and how things had changed so much recently. He no longer did rounds as often of the border since it was quite so necessary to protect cubs that had long since grown into adults. In fact, he was still struggling with the news of Neo starting his own pride, and Halo having found a mate of his own, and a good possiblity existed that his older son would move on too. Granted, he understood that things had to change, that they could only be cubs for so long...but still, there was a part of him that wished they'd of never grown up.
He was glad, however, that Holly had been a cub longer, and thus she was closer to her parents than the others, and took care to earn her place in the pride by sharing in the hunting as well. He feared she would leave as well eventually, though she constantly talked about how she had no plans to leave...but would that always remain so? He heaved a sigh wondering what the future held for the small pride when he was interrupted in his thoughts by the sound of distant roar. Perking his ears, he knew it wasn't Reid or anyone else they knew because he and Synda had long given them full access to the pride. Who could it be?
Getting up, he shook himself to clear his mind then set off at a fast trot to the border, roaring to tell the newcomers he'd heard and was on his way.
Holly walked up to her mother, her head cocked as she watched her drink. The fact that her parents had become sad with the loss of her brothers as they'd moved on broke her heart, and she tried hard to cheer them up. Her remaining here wasn't because she felt guilty, but because she loved her parents and the pride too much to ever want to go. She honestly had no intention of leaving, and she longed for her parents to understand. Purring, she walked up closer to her mother and nuzzled her cheek. "We may be grown, but we will always be your cubs, Mom."
A roar echoed across the land, soon followed by her father's and she lifted her gaze to that direction with a quizzical look on her face. She knew that roar....could it be? But...the last time she'd seen him she had been a teen. Nah, it can't be him, she told her fluttering heart. "Should we go back to the den and greet whoever it is?", she asked her mother eagerly. She always liked meeting new lions, and this should prove interesting.

Zam's ears perked at the roar that told him he would be greeted very shortly. Sitting down upon the grass he waited with Nieve. "Let's try to make a good impression eh Nieve? This place will be good for you."
Nieve nodded and sighed as she sat down next to Zam. This place wasn't what she wanted but there was no use fighting it. She couldn't get away and even if she did surviving by herself would be too much for her to handle in her small state.

((Gaia ate my post! gonk ))
Blake came over the crest of a sand dune about two minutes later and slowed down to a walk when he was about a hundred yards away to let him get a good look at the newcomers before greeting them. A father and his cub...wonder where his mate is...? he thought for a moment before calling, "Hello, there! What can I help you with?"
Holly decided to race her mother and reached the den first. Looking around she didn't see anyone yet, so decided to take refuge in the coolness of the den. Laying near the entrance, but out of sight, she closed her eyes and listened for her father's pawsteps as he returned.

((Thought so. Was gonna have to beat you for tagging me with no post to show for it. XP))
Zambarau caught sight of the male as soon as he came over the crest of the dune. He stayed relaxed and calm not wanting to seem like any type of threat. Not that he was but he didn't want to seem it by tensing up. Looking the male over Zam figured him to be the leader or at least a warrior. "We're looking for a pride to call home. My friend here can't continue on with the loner life we've been leading." Zam explained as he glanced to Nieve. "We've come looking for a place where she will be safe and we'd both be able to find food, companionship and a good place to sleep."

Blake was silent for a moment as he looked them both over, sizing them up and weighing the other lion's words carefully. However, one close look at the cub and her exhaustion spoke volumes and he silently nodded thoughtfully before breaking into a grin. "Safety, food, sleep and companionship we can definatly provide. Welcome to the Whispers in the Dark pride. I am King Blake, though just feel free to call me Blake. Come, let me lead you to the den where you can rest in the shade and away from the heat."
He turned tail and began leading them back the way he'd come, slowly in case they were exhausted from their travels. Letting out a low roar that would call his mate and daughter back from wherever they were, he then turned his attention to their guests. Idly, he looked over at the two of them and asked, "What are your names?"
Holly heard the roar telling her that her father was on his way back. Knowing it would be a few minutes yet till he'd actually be visible, she remained where she was and waited to hear his voice before appearing.

Zam waited patiently for the males response getting a bit worried until he spoke. "Thank you Blake." He said with a polite bow of his head before he stood and began to follow Blake. "My name's Zambarau Asadi, Zam for short and this is Nieve." He said with a flick of his tail to Nieve. "Just so you know Nieve's not my daughter. She and I happened upon each other while looking for the same lion."
Nieve nodded at Zam's words as she thought back on how they had met on an old scent trail of Atant's. They had talked for a good long while until they'd both realized they were looking for the same cat and decided to join forces in hopes of finding him quicker. They'd had such little luck. It was as if the male had disappeared off the face of the earth.

"Aah, I was going to ask if you had a mate since I assumed she was your daughter, but at least that saves me a bit of embarrasment," Blake chuckled glad he'd not put his paw in his mouth when he went to introduce them to Sydna and Holly. "I assume you don't plan to stay long, then if you're still looking for him? I ask because we are a very small pride, only three of us are left since my sons have either found a mate and begun a pride of their own, or very near to doing so as in the case of my son Halo. Even if this isn't for long, I'm sure Holly and Synda would most definatly be glad for the welcome company that your presence will bring." He, of course, didn't know Zam and Holly had met not too long before when she was a teen and so didn't look at him to see his reaction, merely declaring, "Aah, we've finally arrived. Make yourself at home." He motioned towards the den, and the good-sized pond that fed the lush oasis.
It was then that Holly stood up and stepped out of the cave, intending to rush over to her father in greeting, but stopped dead in her tracks soon as she saw who was with him. Her mouth fell open for a minute, and her ears drooped in utter shock to see Zam, and she remained that way for a minute till she at least had the presence of mind to shut her mouth.
Blake (who incidentally hadn't noticed Holly's reaction as he was pointing out various comfortable spots in which they could rest while food was being obtained) turned to see Holly, and smile, "Holly? I'd like you to meet Zambarau Asadi and Nieve."
