Without thinking, she just wrapped her arms around his neck and held onto him in a tight embrace. Just something kept telling her to do it and she didn't let go.

She kept ahold of him and just burried her face in his shoulder and nuzzled it. "I love you too, Matt..." She called him by a name that he didn't claim and she didn't know why. She had never known or dated a Matt, but the name came to her and that's what she called Smash.

Mari just kissed him back and closed her eyes. Placing her hand on his cheek. She didn't know what was going on at all. Everything seemed so new, yet so familiar and right.

She looked back into his eyes and hers were filled with sadness. "What happened, then? Why can't we remember each other if what you said is true?"

Mari did the same and pressed her forehead against his. Trying to think of what was possibly going on. He said nightfiend and something triggered in her mind. "That sounds familiar... Too familiar..."

Mari's eyes opened and she kept holding onto him. "How would we even break out of this... Memory loss?" Her voice sounded sad and she was speaking quietly.

She just looked back into his eyes and she didn't say anything. She wasn't sure about a lot of things at this point. She knew him, but she still didn't really know him.
