yea we have to pay $2.00 on a a concert day and on regular days its $1.50 if we are cought chewing gum confused

yeaa...
if our teacher catches us, she'll stop mid-sentence and say "Hey Jimmy (or whatever your name is) how's the gum today?" and then you go throw it away and you don't get your participation points for the day, and those make up a majority of your grade. sad

I don't think anyone in my band has chewed gum while playing. Once at a game where the jazz band was playing our tenor sax player got up and got nachos from the concession stand. He had to wait until we were back in the band room and everything was put away before he could eat them, though.

We get in HUGE trouble, our punishment includes pushups (usually around 50), getting a huge lecture, somtimes a detention, and being excluded from any fun things we're doing. It's mainly because it messes up your instrument, also never leave your instrument out in the cold, my dad did when he was like in high school and the spit froze and he couldn't play at all! And then the ice shot out and luckily his BD didn't see lol

My bad teacher usually catches you if youre chewing hardcore, or if youre talking. Then hes either nice and lets you spit it out or makes you put it on your nose xD!

If someone in the band chews gum, they get yelled at and have to spit it out.
If someone in the Guard chews gum, we get yelled at, and have to run a lap.

Nobody in our band is stupid enough to chew gum, except for one percussionist. Man, she gets on my nerves! All our BD makes her do is spit it out! And she has it in her mouth like, every day! And every time he gives us a lecture because of the stupid percussionist.
But seriously, who would want to chew gum and play? Unless you want your instrument to be completely screwed up.

We're not allowed to chew gum in the band room, on the field or in the stands, well we can eat in-between playing, but no gum/candy, and if we eat we all have to bring water.
PUnishments for gum can range from 5 laps to 60-70 pushups to dismissal.
