Kaleb frowned a bit. "I-I don't have to worry about gaining weight either, but I can't say if that's metabolism or just not being able to eat lots." He had tried eating to gain weight a couple of times, but he only succeeded in making himself feel sick.

"Well if you don't eat a lot normally then you try to eat more usually you'll get really sick. If you eat little bits and want to gain weight you have to eat the right stuff .... same with loosing weight"

"I don't know what those right things are," he said, sighing a bit and swapping the half-finished wrap for his glass of chocolate milk. "I don't want to eat unhealthy things."

"It has something to do with carbs and that sort of stuff." He shrugged. He had no idea what it was since the scientists had told him not to get above a certain weight.

"I wish it were that simple," Kaleb said, and then sighed again and continued in a resigned voice. "I guess I should just be happy with my weight since it's not causing me any health problems..."

Kaleb huffed a bit at that. "I don't faint that often," he said irritably, but at least Riley would carry him around when he did faint rather than leave him behind. "Are you sure I'm not too bony to cuddle with at night?" he asked in the same irritable tone, but he smiled to let Riley know he wasn't really angry or anything.

Kaleb smiled at the nudge, and fidgeted a bit. "So you're saying being warm makes up for being bony?"

"Yea it is." He closed his eyes and leaned his head against the back of the chair. He'd like to have Kaleb around more than he was. Having a self heating body pillow was nice plus Kaleb was soft.

The little mage took another sip of his chocolate milk, and let the silence sit for a bit before speaking up again. "Your sheets and blankets are softer than mine."

"Really?" He was pretty picky about his sheets after sleeping on the military issue ones down in the labs so that wasn't all that suprising when he thought about it.

Kaleb nodded. "They are really nice. I-I never paid much attention to what I slept in because I got the sheets at a good price, and they aren't unpleasant. They just aren't as soft." He wouldn't have minded staying at Riley's place more often, but he would never have been able to say that out loud.
