 "Oh, hello!" Nori tilted his head up a little to see his eyes. His right hand wondered to the hair behind his ear like it usually did.

"Nori, right?" He briefly remembered their initial interaction, cut short as it had been by Lily. He tucked a small strand of his hair behind his ear, and noticed the androgyny of the newcomer for the first time. He wondered on that, but didn't show it.

" Yes, that's right." Nori replied with a smile. "And you're James. Is It okay if I call you Jamie? It's cuter." He laughed a little. He was a little nervous talking to a guy by himself, considering he trusted girls more.

James laughed self-consciously. "Thats fine." Still smiling, he bit his lower lip in thought. This new person reminded him far too much of who he had stolen his gun from, who he still had strong feelings for. It made him almost want to avoid Nori, but he liked the supposed girl. "Do you think you'll be staying here?"

Jamie seemed like a very interesting person to Nori. As if there was much more beneath the surface. " Well, I really hope so! I love this old place. And I hope my time here is exciting." But looking around, Nori's expression changed a little. Although his lips were smiling, his eyes lowered a slightly. " However, It feels a bit melancholic, don't you think?"

"It can be. I think its the people. Everyone here has a story, and I doubt if many of them are happy." He moved his hand to the back of his head, looking down briefly, and going a little bit a darker color than normal. "Can I ask you something that might seem a little awkward?" He was honestly beginning to wonder if this Nori person was a girl or a boy. It could go either way.

" Hm?" He cocked his head to the side cutely. Nori thought he knew what was coming. People always seem to figure it out over time.

"Are you a boy or a girl?" He still thought it was rather awkward to have to ask, his face was a bit darker, and he compulsively fidgeted with his hair. "I- I'm sorry, it just seems... Like it could be either way... No offense, I mean, I'm sorry."

Of course, That was the question. Well, Nori wanted to try at least a little longer to drag on with the facade, but he didn't think it was right to confuse people too much. Especially if these people were to be his new friends. "Uh, uhm..." It was a bit hard to straight out say it." y-yeah. I'm a male. Sorry." His face flushed a little as he said this, putting his hands to his cheeks. He was used to people asking this question, so he was a bit used to it, but his embarassment rose as he feared rejection. The first person who he had ever loved and had loved him back, had only fell in love with the female version of Nori. Rejecting the male side of Nori was rejecting all of him, and he lost his hold of that love quickly. He was more accepted as a girl, so he felt more comfortable as one. But Nori was always just being himself. Clothes were clothes, he would say.

James laughed. "I thought so. I like that." He was delighted with the fact that Nori was a boy. It made him even more attractive than he had been as a girl.

 Shocker! That was the last thing that Nori expected to come out of his mouth. Maybe an "oh" or a "why?" but to hear "I like that"??
It was a wonder that steam wasn't rising from his redding face.
"...Really?" he managed to ask.
Acceptance. So this was what it felt like outside of his circle of internet acquaintances. Suddently a burden seemed to lift off of his chest. Looking up at Jamie a shy smile formed.

"Yeah. Its unique, and to be honest, a little adorable." He was beginning to like Nori, and to get over the nagging in the back of his head that reminded him of his love. He smiled still, "But are you always dressed as a girl, or is it interchangeable?" He was curious. This interested him, in an odd way.

" I dress as a girl about just as often as I do a boy. But I don't like to think that any style of clothing is set to gender." He replied. Which was only half true. Another part of him knew that he liked dressing as a girl because he'd be mistaken for one. Having this conversation so casually with someone outside of Gothic Lolita forums online was very relieving.
" Maybe I should change before Kyrin gets home? I guess I should let her know in case she doesn't already."

"I don't think she's noticed at all. But she's a little odd about letting boys into her group." He laughed a little again, "I think the only reason I'm here is because we were friends when we were younger. I think she'll like you though. She likes anyone Izzy does." He remembered when Nori had first arrived, how Izzy had liked his dress.
