Oreyn Darkblade
He steps back slightly, watching the water steam. "Um, master. Could I have some cool water after this? Once I discontinue concentrating, I know that it will hurt like hell." He slowly walked forward, holding his foot above it before closing his eyes and forcing it down into the water. His eyes quickly wandered to a dark corner in the room. There was dust and a small cobweb there, and he focused on that. His skin was boiling right now, and it took extra concentration to pull this off.
"Oh..." *runs back to the closet gettin a pot of cool water, runs back towards Oreyn and places the pot next to the scalding pot* "Here's some cream also to put on it afterwards, it should help." *watches him concentrate*

He nods, his eyes still fixated on the corner he locked his gaze onto. The water seemed to slowly become a warm bath-like temperature to him now. It didn't really hurt anymore.

"When you are ready to lift your foot out of there you may, I assume the pain is gone again?" *puts her hand in the water to see how hot it is* "Whoah, that's hot."

He nods, pulling his foot from the scolding waters, immediately forcing it into the cool waters. His concentration was gone now, and his foot was beginning to burn.

"Ahh..." he says, giving a sigh of relief.

"Good, another point in Control Pain you receive..." *starts bending and moving left hand fingers randomly very fast* "I'm afraid today's training will have to end, in any case, if I am not here, and you wish to train on you powers, go ahead and do so. I will review what you have done while I was gone and give you the appropriate points. Try to be creative with your training."

"Yes, master. I understand." Oreyn grabbed some medical wraps and carefully wraps his foot up before putting his sock on. His skin was very sensitive right now, and he needed a short while to heal. The bandage would ensure little to no pain the way home. "I will see you again, master. And may the force guide you." Oreyn bows to her before turning and stepping out, disappearing into the shadows.

(I gtg as well.)

"Yes, may the force be with you my youngling." *she watched him hobble out of the ring, she waited until she couldn't hear him anymore and left the ring as well*

Oreyn silently slips into his master's ring. He looked around and saw no one. He sighs softly, wiggling his left boot briefly. It was still in a little bit of pain from yesterday's training, but he wouldn't let it bug him.

"Well, looks like today it's personal training," he says softly to himself as he sits down in the center of the arena, crossing his legs and resting his arms on his knees.

Meditate...reflect on one's dreams, their thoughts and ideals...expel all emotional baggage... He slowed his breathing and closed his eyes, reflecting on last night. The dream was odd, and seemed a bit disturbing. I was in battle against a jedi in the dream, and we were locked in combat. He let his guard down and I disabled him...then, something took over me, it seemed...I felt glee at his pain, his agony...and I took delight as I slew him...

He opened his eyes and took a deep breath. He pondered on what to do next.

"Ah, magnify senses, I believe. That should do it." Oreyn closed his eyes once more, as if going into meditation. He cut off his sight, strengthing his other senses for the time being. He listened to the complex, ignoring what he felt inside himself.

"A spider...engufling a small insect in it's silk webbing...the creaking of walls as they expand and contract with the temperature..." He then stretched his hearing beyond the complex, to outside. He stretched as far as he could at his present abilities. "The chirping of chicklings...the squirming of a worm in the mother's beak...the flapping of a murder of ravens...the slithering of a snake in the grass as it hunts for food...the gibberish of squirrels as they hunt for food...the majestic call of an eagle...but...that seems to be it."

He let out a soft sigh after this. His hearing was slightly strained, so he took a moment to let his senses return to a natural balance. Then he pondered on what to do next.

"Hmm, maybe life detection...?" He pondered on this, thinking of a way he could train himself like this. He had no ideas. For now, he decided on control pain, then if he could think of a way after that, he would do so.

He reached for his knife that was sheathed on his belt. The blade was a good size, and the edge was razor sharp. He also pulled out a small section of bandage wrap, for he would most likely need it.

He pressed the edge of the knife against his flesh. It cut almost instantly into his body. He gentally pulled it along his lower arm, creating a large, long cut on the area. He snarled slightly, but focused all of his attention on his knife.

Bit by bit, the pain began to subside as he concentrated all of his senses, his thoughts and feelings onto the blade of the knife. In a matter of moments, the pain was all but gone. He sighed softly before pilling a small cloth out of a satchel on his belt and wiping the wound down. Immediately after that, he wrapped it up tightly-to prevent anymore blood loss and to help the blood coagulate.

He pulled his sleeve back down, over the wraps, and pondered yet again. How was he to train himself in detect life? Just then a small insect, most likely a fly, buzzed past his head. This gave him an idea; he could use only his senses to hit the insect. It was a bit of a crazy idea, but he'd give it a shot.

He stood up and pulled put a blindfold, the same one he used yesterday. Wrapping it around his eyes, his vision was cut off. His head shifted left and right as he followed the life energy of the bug, waiting for it to land.

Soon the fly landed on a nearby wall. This was it. Oreyn quickly squatted down with a slight spin, picking up a small stone he had seen on the ground before he put on the blindfold. Quickly making a full spin, he returned to a standing position and quickly threw the small stone. The fly flew away before it hit, causing a small ping when it smacked against the stone of the walls.

Oreyn snarled slightly, still sensing it's life energy. He waited until it landed again. When it did, he gripped the pommel of his knife tightly before throwing it at the fly. It spun at a quick arc and with good speed. The fly moved slightly this time, but it wasn't enough as the blade cleaved it as it dug into the wall.

Oreyn pulled down his blindfold, seeing where his knife had hit. Walking over to it, he managed to pull it out. He saw the blood of the insect, and bits of it's body on the blade. He smiled slightly at this. Wiping his knife clean, he mutters under his breath, "Damn bug."

(I don't think that that counts as training in life detection, but oh well. It was fun nonetheless.)

Oreyn sighs, looking around. His training didn't seem to be very effective. He just hoped it was adequite at the very least. He sat down in the center of the ring again, closing his eyes and going into a light meditation.
