"Hmm?" The waitress had brought his desired drink and he had leaned forward, once again, to take a sip. He really did love that sweet juice~! "A... bit... I suppose," he replied with a small shrug. "Although I do not tend to eat out much. Kev can be quite adamant about making nearly every meal...." He took another sip of his juice, glancing up at the other with his clear blue eyes as he did.

"I... hope this place isn't... distasteful for you...." he murmured after a moment. Really, all the acting like his brother could get tiresome. But he just had to stick with it. He had to. "I simply picked it because it is relitively private... and I like the way it smells...." How... unromantic. But, then again, that was exactly how Will was. And Kev, secretly, was having fun -- putting the other off with his words, and yet inviting him with his actions.

The way it... smells? That was and odd sentiment, and it did nothing but keep that big toothy smile right where it was. “No, no, it’s fine. If you like it, I’m happy. I’m guessing you like flowers. ” He responded merrily, and as he watched Kev sip his juice, he shifted in his seat a little. If there was anything making him uncomfortable, it wasn’t the decor - but he liked the feeling of anticipation he got from just being alone with who he assumed was the object of his affection.

Marlow took a long drink from his own glass of water, and he needed it. As he pulled the glass away from his lips, his eyes closed and he swept his tongue across the rim of the cool glass where he had been drinking and set it back down again with a soft sigh. Everything was going well.

Kev nodded slowly, a small smile forming on his lips. "Yes... I rather do. We have a very nice garden back home...." Now, this wasn't just Kev making things up -- this was true. Will spent hours in the garden back home -- whether he was reading or doing homework or whatever else it was he did while he was there. The blonde leaned back into his seat and surveyed the teen before himself, his smile falling into Will's usual blank expression.

Finding nothing much to stare at (well, that would be Will's opinion, anyway, because Kev thought Marlow had a lot to offer), he glanced over to the side, eyes locking on a butterfly as it flitted onto a flower.

“I’ll have to come see that sometime,” Marlow intimated, despite the fact that he vaguely remembered something about them having a crazy father who didn’t like visitors. That was just because he hadn’t met Marlow yet. How could anyone -not- like him? “I promise to be on my best behavior. Nobody will even know that I’m American, that’s how well mannered I’ll be.” He certainly was cheeky. It seemed too soon, but the waitress set his meal before him, a cup of soup and a bright garden salad. It had some of that decorative purple cabbage in it, but Marlow didn’t think anything of it yet.

“Yay, food!” He exclaimed, then couldn’t help but return to his usual self, especially with the way Will (or rather Kev) hadn’t been paying enough attention to him. Picking up his own spoon, he moved over close to the other boy and scooped a grape out of his fruit salad. “Shall I feed you? Say Ahhhhhh.” He just loved to tease, even though he knew it always ended badly.

Kev had begun to argue that, no, it would be a terrible idea to visit home when the food arrived. He had only begun to reach for his for when the other suddenly plucked out a grape from his salad. His expression was, initially, surprised, but then he remember he had to... be Will. And so his face settled into a quiet look of distaste. "No, thank you," he replied, face recoiling slightly away from the other's outreached hand.

Normally, Kev would have taken the bait and had fun with it, but this was most certainly not a normal time.

“Boo...” Marlow cheerfully jeered, then slunk back to his own chair. Knowing Will, he probably wouldn’t eat the grape now at all, so he plopped it into his own mouth, chewing as he began to unfold his napkin. “Oh, now this looks good. French Onion. You know what doesn’t have cabbage in it? French Onion soup.” Not a word of apology or any sort of comment was made about his momentary lapse in decorum, as he didn’t want to argue about it - or scare Will off. He had a sort of ritual surrounding his eating habits, and after he made sure his silverware were in the right places and his bowl and plate were in the most convenient places, he cracked the cheesy layer of his soup with his spoon and began to eat, his every action making it clear that he was walking on air to be out and about with Will.

Kev nodded slowly, slowly unfolding his napkin and placing it in his lap in a most graceful and Will-like a manner as the younger twin could manage. He then resumed his hold on the fork and quickly speared a slice of peach before placing slowly in his mouth. Now, this time, Kev wasn't even trying to look sensuous or appealing. It was simply so much a part of his nature by now that he wasn't even aware of it.

"So... you... like it, then..." he murmured slowly, after swallowing. "Good..."

Eat. Watch Will Eat. Eat. It was a hard decision for a teenage boy, as teenage boys usually only had two things on their mind - and it was difficult to choose between them. Marlow managed to do both alright though, with only one splash of french dressing dribbled down his collar. ‘Will’ was a tough nut to crack, and the American boy found himself restraining himself many times. The fact that he was so desperately trying to behave himself was obvious, especially the way he fidgeted in his chair all throughout their meal. When the waitress brought their check, he was quick to pull out one of his credit cards - not exactly a huge gesture between rich kids, but one he felt was appropriate, since he was the one inconveniencing Will, and not the other way around. “I’ll pay today, Sir,” he addressed the twin, his mood amazingly cheerful, and his words and demeanor still suggesting his willingness to stay submissive in their budding relationship.

While the meal hadn't exactly been filling, Kev hadn't been overly hungry in the first place, anyway. And Marlow was paying, too, which was fortunate because, Kev had just realized, he had left his pants (including his wallet) in Will's locker.... And Will never left anything in his pants pockets. Anyway, Kev probably wouldn't have money, anyway, because he usually somehow persuaded others to pay for him (most likely it was his undeniable charm).

Kev stood up slowly as the waitress returned Marlow's card, and then stretched back a bit, back popping slightly as he did. Unfortunately, this was not a likely act that Will would do in public. Kev had, rather unmistacably forgotten "himself."

Cerulean Marlow was not one to miss small details - though sometimes he dismissed them as being inconsequential. Will’s lazy stretching however was a bit of an oddity. He was such a straight-laced no-nonsense kind of guy. In his eyes, Will functioned on a level beyond mere mortal, and would never let it be known that he was anything less than a perfect, well mannered young man.

“Hey,” Marlow said as he stood himself, slipping his wallet back into his pocket as he nodded at the other boy, “Are you alright?” It made him wonder what Kev had decided he wanted for this little exchange, and how far he was willing to go to get it. If he actually suspected anything though, he didn’t let it be known. “You must be tired,” he resolved, sauntering over to stand face to face with his date.

"Hmmm?" It took Kev several moments to realize what the other meant. However, once he did, a tiny bit of a flush creeped onto his usually pale cheeks. Crap. Will never did anything less than inhuman in public, huh... double crap. He glanced over at the other and shrugged slowly. "I... suppose. I... didn't sleep much last night. I pulled an all-nighter..." Kev invited, giving his voice a confiding sort of tone. He glanced away, then, just to give his words a heavier effect.

“An all nighter, huh?” Marlow said with a hint of disbelief, “I thought you Riddle boys were bonafide geniuses.” Well, that didn’t sound very nice he realized, or rather, it didn’t to him. “I guess you’ve got lots of things you try to keep up on, huh?” From what he understood, Will was the type to strive to be in the top .001% of the class, so it wasn’t too much of a stretch. “Maybe we can have a study date soon. You can help me with my History. We don’t learn this stuff in the states. Pretty much all we get is that British people have a fondness for red jackets, and we threw a bunch of tea in the bay one time. ....Sorry about that, by the way. I hope you don’t hold a grudge.” He was kidding, obviously, and punctuated his apology with a bright smile. “Walk you home?”

Kev shrugged again. "It's... not exactly... school work," he said slowly. In truth, Kev had noticed that his twin spent a lot of time up at night. Sometimes, in the middle of the night, Kev would come into the library in search of Will -- only to find him completely eveloped in some old book or other.

"...Maybe," he said slowly, in response to the study session idea. "Although I'm not sure I would be much of a teacher." And Will wasn't. Will was one of those people who just... knew things. And he knew all the workings of them and how they came to be about and all... but he could never quite explain it in wording that was understandable to the general public.

At the last question, however, he shook his head. "You'd best not. Father hates visitors...." It wasn't merely that Kev didn't want Marlow to run across the real Will at some point.... It really was true -- his father was always made exceedingly angry when one of the twins (read: Kev) brought home a friend (or five).
PostPosted: Thu Feb 22, 2007 10:39 pm

“Alright, alright. I’d ask Kevin, but... we probably wouldn’t get much work done, the two of us.” He could imagine him and Kev trying to study, only to end up playing video games or cards, or something along those lines - only not Trivial Pursuit. He never dared try, but he had a feeling that if anyone ever challenged the twins to that game, there would be tears involved. As the pair left the café, Marlow frowned. “So, not even to the front door, huh? There goes my kiss goodnight...” he teased, especially since he thought that the tyrannical sounding father would not take kindly to that sort of dallying.

“You should really move into the dorms. I could have them move an extra bed into mine, or not, you know.” He winked, then thought better of what he had just said. Bad Marlow, bad. He chose not to bring up the spanking suggestion that now danced through his thoughts.

Kaori adjusted his kimono a bit as he sat, holding his cello between his knees and thighs. He took a deep breath before he began to play. The music was light and sweet, and as Kaori played, he became lost in it and closed his eyes. His head tilted a bit as someone joined him on the piano. He smiled slightly as the other adjusted his playing just slightly to the notes that Kaori was playing. Kaori continued, ignorent that everyone else had stopped to listen to the pair. Gradually, Kaori brought the song to a close. He opened his eyes and looked toward the pianist, a light smile on his face. "Thank you for listening and playing with me. I enjoyed it a lot." He put the cello down on it's side next to the chair and placed his bow on the music stand. He straightened as the sensei entered the room and began to take roll.
