.A.k.u.r.a.c.h.i. KuroChouKunoichi Nevira Shadowfire We're doing Pulse by John Meehan this year blaugh We're also the only school in the state that's doing it. I'm so pumped. It sounds awesome already (though I'm having a devil of a time practicing the music >_<) Yay~! John Meehan writes music for our band too! Sigh. I can never say 'Oh, I've done that show before' and such because we always get new music every year...our marching band is a bit overpriviliged, I think. ^^; I hear that. Our shows are cool and all, but our directors make them up every year then commission a drill writer and a music arranger to make it. So we never do anything someone has ever done or anything. Well, it's okay, I guess. Although, when you get older and you hear other bands play one of your shows, it's kinda...odd. XD. It was like that when we went to BOA tournaments and we heard my school's '04 show, The Hypar Effect, twice. ^^; It seems to be a bit popular.

We don't know if there will be a marching band...I go to a small school, and we're having a hard time mustering enough kids for a marching band.
But if we do, it'll probably be nightmare before christmas.

'07 is the season coming up right? Cause I'm a rising Freshman, so this is my first year at marching.
Anyway, after 6 months of getting the copyrights from Hasbro, we are doing a Monopoly themed show. That's all I know.

Last year we did a country-Western theme for the first show (Ring of Fire, Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy, a medley of old cowboy music, and the Devil Went Down to Georgia.) And 80's music for the second (a medley of 80s, Dr. Feelgood, I Love Rock and Roll, and La Grange.)
This year we're doing Disney (laaaaaaame) and a Caribbean themed-ish. I had been excited because rumor had it we were doing a Broadway one rather than Disney.

Our '07 theme is music from RENT. The show is being written by our assistant director/guard instructor, because unlike our BD, she can make real shapes that are relevant to the show instead of random sqiggles.

Our '06 Marching Theme was "The Best and Worst of American Idol" which was pretty cool.
I don't know what our theme is for this year, but it will be my first.
I hope I don't screw up too badly.

I don't know if one of my friends already posted this. This is 07-08, yes? This year (06-07) our theme was Broadway!!! It was so great, mm, I loved it. But, this...next...whatever year, it's not really decided yet, but we're working on a Superheroes theme.
It's okay, I guess. I kinda don't care for it, but some of the music is really good, so I'm, eh, good. Haha.

I haven't heard anybody do our old shows, our directors just come up with it, so I'm not sure how other bands could get the music and stuff. Mostly we just take random songs that the Cavaliers have done and put in two other songs and call it a show. Well, it's okay, I guess. Although, when you get older and you hear other bands play one of your shows, it's kinda...odd. XD. It was like that when we went to BOA tournaments and we heard my school's '04 show, The Hypar Effect, twice. ^^; It seems to be a bit popular.
