((Super sorry, i was grounded all this week crying I didn't mean to make you guys wait, I was hoping that you'd forget to post so you wouldn't have to worry xd ))

Leaves whizzed passed Char, and he laughed.

"Missed!" he laughed in the Pokemon lanuage. There was a crack of wood snapping. Char whipped around, and saw the tree comming down on him.

"Char, move!" Terra cried, but Char didn't need her to tell him that. He started running as the tree came down...

Luckily, he was not hit by the tunk, but the branches. He was caught, and his tail was starting to set it on fire. Terra sighed. At least when she went back, she'd grabbed her cell phone, and called 911.

"Char, burn your way out of there, I'm calling the fire department," she said, and Char smiled. Finally, he wasn't going to have to be careful of the enviroment. Char used ember, setting the tree ablaze. He stepped out, a menecing smile on his face. He looked like a demon who'd come from the firey depths of Hell, ready to kill.

I think he could go into showbiz, Terra thought to herself.

"Ha, that'll take forever-" Terra started to say, and looked up at the sun, and gasped. It was shining right on that Ivysaur..."CHAR! RUN!" she cried, but it was too late. The solar beam had already been unleashed, hitting Char dead on. Terra swore loudly, running over to him.

"Crap, this looks bad," she muttered. "We neet to go to the center in Veridian. What are you guys waiting for? Let's go!" Terra was super annoyed, pissed at losing her first battle. He was just lucky that it knew solar beam--she had to teach Char a few things as well.

"Hey!" she cried as John picked up Char, but he seemed to be more in shape than she was. What did she expect when she'd been on her butt studying so much? She sighed and sprinted after him.

"Don't worry young lady, your Charmander will be just fine!" Nurse Joy assured Terra when they got there. She sat in a cushiony chair in the waiting room. After a while, she hat to take out one of her text books to get her mind off Char.

"Terra?" she heard Nurse Joy call. Terra dropped her book and ran over to the desk.

"Is Char all better?" she asked. Nurse Joy nodded and handed Terra Char's Pokeball.

"Thanks!" she said, and let Char outside the ball. Char looked at the ground instead of at Terra in the eye.

"Char, it's okay," she assurred Char. "That wasn't your only battle, and it was also your first one. You can't expect to win them all...yet." Char smiled and hugged her leg. "Oh, and one more thing," she said, kneeling to his level. "We're going to follow that John guy and his Bulba until we beat him." Char smiled boadly and nodded.

Terra exited the Pokecenter and noticed TD.

"Oh, hey!" she said. Char was eyeing Flare. Terra saw this and smiled. "I think Char wants to battle. So, whadda ya say?"

Terra ate the lunch her mother packed for her gratefully. It'd be the last time for quite a while she'd be able to eat a lunch made by her mom...

"Char, charmander!" Char exclaimed after sipping the drink, smiling. He took the straw out and gulped it down.

Terra leaned over, whispering something in Char's ear as he drank. He coughed, small flames coming out.

"Okay?" she asked, and Char smiled.

"Char!" he said.

"Yeah, I'm going to have to keep that in mind from now on," Terra sighed, packing up all her scraps and tossing it in a nearby garbage can. ((They should have public trashcans, right? razz ))

Char and Terra followed the other two.

"Okay, ready!" she said. Char stood a few feet from the Torchic, ready for anything that she'd dish at him.

"I'm ready for it! C'mon, bring it!" Char taunted.
