I sing. I only play the piano to tune my voice to the notes. Otherwise, when I'm by a piano, I'm the one singing and someone else is the one playing.

I know very little piano. I was never formally trained. I wish I was now, though, because now that I'm older, I probably won't really take out the time to try and learn.

Yesh, I play piano, and I suppose it does look a bit stereotypical, but whatever. I wanted to play piano before I even knew there was a stereotype attached to it.
I've played the violin too, though I only played it for like a year (I could probably still play if you give me sheet music and tell me which strings are which notes razz )

I wish I could play like Jay Chou in Secret. xD
Anyway, I tried teaching myself at one point, but I didn't really succeed in that.

Such stereotypes. Tsk tsk tsk. Not all Asians play piano, but a lot do.
I used to play, but quit because it was boring and I didn't like it at all. I never even wanted to play in the first place; my mom made me...
@Kanin-I love that movie!!! Jay Chou is wonderful.

Yeah I play the piano but almost everyone in my homeroom plays the piano and my school is like multicultral so some of them wouldn't even be decendents of oriental or asians. I guess it's because alot of asians play instruments maybe not just piano since one cousin plays the cello and the other plays the violin.

hmmm...I actually couldn't answer the poll properly since I have formerly played the piano, and quit because I didn't like it, and plus I had just started taking up violin at that the time that I quit. Now,I'm a hardcore violinist. ^_^ And much happier too...I heart violin so much!!!!

I used to play piano when I was younger and then I quit lessons shortly after. I've tried getting back into it, but my parents aren't willing to sign me up for lessons again.. I can play by ear though. I can't read notes.. I forgot. @__@
