Hey, DeadWifes here. Let me tell you where I stand on these sujects.
1) Abortion. If its life threating, do it. But other wise just give the baby to somebody who wants it. There is always somebody to take it. 2) Teen sex. Go ahead. If you want to take the risks of contracting something go ahead. Want to take the chance of becoming a father/mother go ahead. Their choice, and they've probably been told way to many times to care anymore about the risk that comes with it. 3) Teen pregnancy. They're own fault. They knew the chance, they took it, look what happen. Oops! 4) Gay marriage. We can love. Nobody ever said it just had to be man & women. At least nobody import. So why not. Normal couple, only unable to produce. 5) Sexual preference (your views, not your own sexual preference). Hey, let people do what ever they want. If it makes them happy, whats wrong with it? 6) Suicide. A easy way out of things. A fools way, but the easy way. I don't like it. But I have tried to do it. Few times... 7) Self-harm. A way to let people get rid of they're worrys Even for a bit. A way to keep people standing on they're feet when they're ready to fall down. A way, not completely safe, but a way to keep one alive.. 9) Love. Hopefully its real. But nowadays, you have to doubt what it really is. 10) Drugs and Alcohol. Same as #4. People know what they're getting themself into. They have to deal with the side affects that show up. 11) Religion. Such a hard thing to have. Never being able to know if its really real. Never knowing of yours is the right one. Or if you are believing something that even matters.
Well those were my thoughts. ~~~DeadWifes. The one and only

This was me, but my account was banned! sad but just to clear up a few things: surprised onceuponawednesday Hello! I'm 16years old I am, in fact, a girl and I love living! Not just partying and having a good time (although there is a time and place for that, too wink ) but I really enjoy going on walks through the woods near my house with a special friend or two and I love meeting new people. MY life goal is to become fluent in every language so that i can communicate with everyone in the world. 1) Abortion. - pro choice. I believe that there are some instances where abortion is necassary. 2) Teen sex. - well, I can't stop teens from having sex, but geez guys! Be careful! 3) Teen pregnancy. - I think that if the teens were having sex WERE more careful, then there wouldn't be this problem. But I don't think that young girls around my age who get pregnant should just think of abortion as an easy way out and then go and get pregnant again! Teenagers who view abortion in this way have no buisiness having sex because they are recklessly dealing with someone elses life! 4) Gay marriage. - I think love is love. Who are we to tell people not to love? If you love each other and want to spend the rest of your lives together, regardless of sex, then by all means go ahead! 5) Sexual preference (your views, not your own sexual preference). - love is love. 6) Suicide. - Its the bad way out. Commiting suicide is just trying to take the easy way. Its also pretty selfish. Just think...in the long run you could be offereing advice to a kid who thinks that suicide is the right way to go...YOU could save a life...and if you don't think that makes life worth living, then you need some serious help in areas other than suicide issues. 7) Self-harm. - also bad. Why would you want to ruin something so beautiful as your own body? 9) Love. - I love love. 10) Drugs and Alcohol. - They should be used in moderation. I'm not partial to either, myself, but others I know seem to like them....just be careful with them... 11) Religion. - I dont really believe in a certain religion...I think the world needs religion to make it function properly, and i love learning about new religions, but like i said, I don't really care to follow a set one myself. and thats me! surprised

Hi, my name is Brie I'm new here, I am 24 and live in Florida... anyone who wants advice on something is more than welcome to come ask me anytime.
My views on:
1) Abortion. I can't say if I would get one or not until I am pregnant. but, I believe that people, women, have the right to choose and should not be told by old white men in the white house what she should do with her own body... men who will never understand how it feels to be pregnant.
2) Teen sex. I have no problem with sex before marriage/teen sex, however. I have seen on gaia in LI that so many teens are so ignorant about sex, girls who have their older boyfriends tell them that 'only girls who want to get pregnant do' or that the first time doesnt count... it makes me so angry. I believe that a teen or young person who decideds to have sex should be completely educated in the subject, including pregnancy and STD prevention, then they can make an educated decision on their own as to whether or not they should or shouldn't have sex.
3) Teen pregnancy. the answer is more or less in question 2... but I think that teens should educate themselves so that they don't get pregnant. of course nothing is 100 % so in the case if someone who had safe sex and still gets pregnant, I think that adoption would be the best choice or abortion depending on the person's views on the subject itself. I think to give your life up so early on would be a waste, and to raise the kid as a teen would be more difficult that its worth.
4) Gay marriage. I fully support gay marriage there should be no reason why homosexuals should have less rights than anyone else. I am so SICK of hearing ignorant people's opnions of gay marriage (the worse is 'this is a christian country' I can't even begin with how many things are wrong with that sentence.) I have known just as many loving gay couples as loving straight couples and a few extra not so loving straight couples, and on the idea of adoption I think its sick that the government would rather deny a child a loving home than give one to a gay couple.
5) Sexual preference (your views, not your own sexual preference). I strongly believe that love is love, gay straight or bi I try to not label myself or anyone, I believe you can fall in love with whoever you fall in love with.
6) Suicide. I find it selfish, to create the grief for people who love you simply because you can't work out your own problems is very very selfish.
7) Self-harm. a few years ago I went through a real rough time in my life and I began cutting myself, I havent in a long time now, and I would say people who cut should find some other productive way of trying to help themselves rather than sit there cutting, feeling sorry for themselves and not solving anything. but I know how it can get, and I understand becasue I've been there myself.
9) Love. I believe in love, I am in love and have been with my boyfriend three years now. I think that people, particularly young girls can very easily have a false image of love for the simple fact that they wish they were in love rather than that they actually are. I think a lot of pain in adolescent girls comes from false love, or projected love. and I think guys are more than willing to take advantage of girls. I also don't believe in Love at first sight, I think love is something you develop and grow into.
10) Drugs and Alcohol. I think particularly young americans are very stupid about alcohol, in other countries where 18 is legal age and they aren't as strict at younger than 18 (like, everywhere else) teens are less stupid because its not as much of a 'risky thrill' if you know what I mean. I have no problem with people who drink as long as they know how to control it and themselves, and I don't have a problem with pot eitehr... stronger drugs... I think you need to get some help if you start them, you can hurt yourself and people you love.
11) Religion. I was raised a Catholic but I am Agnostic, I really believe there is no way to know so don't live by man made religious laws in fear of something that probably isn't there, and even if there was a god or gods or goddesses they probably aren't so hate filled and strict as most religions say they are. I also HATE people who try to push their own views on others, people who try to tell you that you are going to hell just for being yourself, people who ask if you've 'found jesus'. it is my biggest pet peeve because most people who do preach know nothing of the religion they are preaching.

Well I'm new to the guild, but only by a little less than a week or so. I suppose if I had gotten off my a** I would have done this earlier, but hey I'm still a teenager. My name's Olivia, not Betty, beleive it or not, and I actually joined the guild as xbaibaixkittyx. To be honest I was just sick of the screen name and in love with the idea for this...
Anywho, I'm fourteen and turn fifteen in August. However, not to boast, I doubt you'd realize my age if I didn't tell you. I blame my maturity on the fact that I was a sheltered child most my elementary school years, and therefore I've just always been special. I mean I'm social, yes, but I'm anti-social at the same time, like living two lives perhaps--but who knows? Now I'm just rambling--I love introductions though. It's like my only opportunity to set a first impression I feel responsible for.
I'm female, and openly pansexual [ though I usually will just refer to myself as bisexual to skip a long drawn out explanation and a subject change at the mention of things other than males or females. ] I'm a novice/an amatuer photographer and an artist through traditional methods. I've dabbled in digital art and animation, and I'm actually pretty good at it. If you ever need anything, ask! I usually work for free, I don't think my art is quite yet worth it.
As far as my stands on certain subjects:
1) Abortion. I'm quite pro-choice and support getting an abortion over raising a child in certain circumstances. I find people who are against it to be hypocritical often, contradicting themselves in their arguments. It safe not to bring the topic up with me.
2) Teen sex. You know, I accept it. I mean I personally havn't had sex, but won't be too shocked if I have before 20. My mother supports it as well to be honest, she prefers I wait until at least 16 and that I'm completely open about it with her. I do think that sex should mean something though, no matter the age. Banging someone after a month or so of dating is just unacceptable as a teenager, to me.
3) Teen pregnancy. And that's what number two leads to. I highly disagree with this, even if you're out of highschool. You should be settled, married, and with a good career before you have kids.
4) Gay marriage. Of course I support it! I'm pansexual myself, and I hope that no matter who I find in life that I'll be able to do what ever the hell I want with them. That includes marraige.
5) Sexual preference I think that nothing should inhibit your comfort zone. If you like women, you should be able to openly like women. If you like men, then the same. Why is it acceptable to bash and judge because of someone's preference? You wouldn't beat someone up because they like rasperry jelly instead of grape, so why is it when someone prefers a different gender partner than the norm that it's okay?
6) Suicide. I understand why this is so common. I mean society's becoming bastards as far as this whole "stupid emo kid" thing goes. It doesn't matter if they're just doing it because it's scene, you should still take every sign seriously and try to get people help--you don't want to miss the opportunity and regret it.
7) Self-harm. I think it's massly popularized my certain musicians and scene groups now--it's disgusting. As far as self-harm itself? I understand why someone would do it, and I just hope that they can find help. In fact, I feel like it's my responsibility to try and help them.
9) Love. Love is cruel. I wish people would have warned you about it before you fall in love. I wish your parents told you that you do thing you'll regret immediatly in the name of love, or that's it's naive and blinding at times. I think "true love" is just the same thing, but with someone that's compatable with you, that you can deal with.
10) Drugs and Alcohol. To be honest, I see alot of people who experiment with it. I don't disagree with it too much, but I havn't tried either.
11) Religion. Ugh... I realize that as humans we need something to fall back on, but it's horribly extreme in most situations. I hate it to be honest, and see alot of trouble with it. Faith is a different story to be, but a set of rules for you to live by by someone else, who claims to speak the word of god? I don't agree...

Hi! My name is Morgan, but feel free to call me Bunny. Let's see, I am 16 years old and I live in California. Here's what I think about these subejects...
Abortion I believe it is the woman's choice to have an abortion. If she isn't ready for a child, or it was a mistake, then she should be able to have the abortion. I know that if I was to get pregnant now I would wish to have that choice. If they take it away what will happen to America? We already suffer from over population. Do you think having children that you don't want is going to help? No. It will only result in more babies being left in garbage cans or being thrown into an orphanage.
Teen Sex I believe most teenagers aren't going to practice 'abstinence'. Parents should educate their children about the issue, so if they do have sex as a young adult they will know to always use protection.
Teen Pregnancy It is a very touchy subject, one that links with abortion. I believe children should protect themselves.
Gay Marriage I support it strongly. Love is love, no matter what the gender is.
Secual Preferance Why should it matter if a woman likes a woman, or a man loves a man?
Suicide I have had more than one friend kill themselves and it hurts everyone around.
Self-harm I have only cut myself once, but some kids use it as an excuse to get attention. Parents need to work with their kids, not against them.
Love Love is a feeling, what more can I say?
Drugs and Alcohol I see nothing wrong with smoking pot or drinking, as long as you do not drink yourself stupid. Heroin, Coke, Speed, those are totally different and should be avoided at all costs.
Religion I don't believe in god and it makes me so angry to see the world killing and discriminating against each other because of religion.

Age: 17 as of May 19th, 1989 Sex: Female Hobbies: Hanging out with boyfriend, watching movies, music [I play the guitar and drums], running...
Quote: 1) Abortion.: I believe that it is the womans choice on whether or not she wants to have the baby. I do not consider it murder if it is taken out before it is an actual fetus seeing as it does not even feel pain during the very early stages. I believe that the father has a say but it is ultimatly their decision.2) Teen sex.: People have sex it's just nature...Teens aren't ready for babies just as much as some adults aren't. If they want to have sex then that's their choice.3) Teen pregnancy.: I think it'd be good to at least get your high school diploma before you actually have a child. If they want to keep and feel ready...then I guess that's their choice, however I feel like they're making a big mistake [in most cases] and should think of the child. 4) Gay marriage.: I'm completely fine with it. If it makes them happy...I mean there's no harm done to anyone then why not?5) Sexual preference (your views, not your own sexual preference).: Whatever floats their boat...as long as they aren't harming anyone of course.6) Suicide.: I feel that in most cases suicide is a pretty selfish thing to do. People are so caught up in their own problems that they foreget about the people they'd be effecting.7) Self-harm.: I've talked with a very good friend about how there are other ways to dealing with pain rather than self-inflicting herself. I really do believe there are other ways, however I know how it feels to be overwhelmed with an emotion you feel like taking it out physically. There are definately better ways to deal with it though.9) Love.: I believe anyone can love at any given age. Most people are just confused about it.10) Drugs and Alcohol.: Drugs aren't for me...I Wouldn't mind a couple sips of some alcohol but I don't see the use of me getting wasted.11) Religion. I'm an Atheist...I like a good debate about religions but I don't look down upon somone of a different religion though.

Soleq Not to be outdone by ButterBalls above, I shall take a few moments and present my background, at least, all I wish to share. My name's origin is rather boring: I was tired of my old screenname of nine years, and so I began thinking of a replacement (more like a temporary name, as this account was originally going to be what's known as a mule). After a grueling seven minutes of toiling in front of my laptop, I suddenly placed the Latin word for Sun ("Sol") with the cryptic suffix "eq" to create Soleq. Voila, a new identity is born. And yes, it's pronounced Sol-eck. I would say it's fair to assume that my life has been longer than yours. It's as simple as that. Currently, I work as a teacher. Yes, that's right, I'm one of those people. So the next time you're in class, contemplate if I am your teacher. If you guess right, I'll automatically pass you in my class. Well, not really, but you'll definitely earn some extra credit. Anyway, onwards to the nine questions: 1) Abortion. Officially Pro-Choice. People claiming to be Christian who kill doctors are yet another fine example of the hypocrisy of organized religion. 2) Teen sex. Can't officially comment, but I'll say that what goes on in a person's bedroom/livingroom/car/etc that doesn't produce children and/or pain is usually fine with me. 3) Teen pregnancy. Usually the result of teenage logic ("I sware I saw on MTV that douching works"). In most cases, first trimester abortion solves the obvious problem. Actually, just look at your parents and ask yourself "Did my mom birth me before the age of 20, and if so, do I want to be just like her when I grow up?" 4) Gay marriage. Officially in support. People who claim marriage is only between a man and a woman usually have an IQ somewhere between 70 and 75, which is unfortunate, because it means I can't officially call them retarded. Close, but no cigar. 5) Sexual preference. Believe what you want, love who you choose. 4) Suicide. The weak man's exit. If you try, you'll probably think "damn, I shouldn't have done this." 5) Self-harm. Life isn't as bad as it seems. Quit cutting yourself for attention. 6) Love. Does it exist? Is it just a bunch of chemicals? And damnit, who wrote the book on it?! 7) Drugs and Alcohol. Tried them both, and I'll stick with the soda. Beer is good, but only if you know the right type. Oh, and pina coladas...mmm.... But I digress, having a few drinks at 19 is a right of passage. Getting drunk at 14 is idiotic. 9) Religion. The only religion is what you hold to be true in yourself. If you believe you're a good person, then who am I to judge you. If you know you're going to hell, then shouldn't that perk you up to correct your life a little? This whole concept of organized religion is bullshit: always has been and always will be. If you're curious about my own beliefs, they fall more in line with Taoism. I dispise Christianity. It's always such a bonus when you have a teacher that has true opinions instead of just going by the book being too shy to state them. I fully and completely agree in all you said, although I should probably state everything in my own words instead of backing up someone else and leaving it at that. Just decided to reply so I could write fully on what I believe. ^_^ Go you for being so cool! Extra kudos for you!

Hi! I'm Lorie. I love helping people and giving advice. I'm glad I was accepted to this guild because I'm usually hanging around Life Issues looking for people to give advice too. x] Well here's the little survey thingeh. Hope to talk to ya'll soon!
1) Abortion.
I'm totally against it. Have responsible sex and maybe you wouldn't have to even think about killing your baby.
2) Teen sex.
If it happens it happens but at least be responsible about it.
3) Teen pregnancy.
I guess stuff happens but it's their own fault for not being responsible about it.
4) Gay marriage.
Love is love. Point blank.
5) Sexual preference (your views, not your own sexual preference).
Again love is love.
6) Suicide.
It's kind of like saying to God, "I give up". There is no need to take your life about something.
7) Self-harm.
Some people actually do have problems with self-harm. Not everyone does it for attention. If there's some one screaming, "OMG I JUS CUT MISELF BCZ MI BF BROK UP WIT MI!1!!" then yes, it's totally for attention but there are some people who have REAL problems with self-mutilation.
9) Love.
Anyone can fall in love. Age is just a number and it has nothing to do with how you feel. But some people tend to get love and lust confused.
10) Drugs and Alcohol.
Drugs are a definite no no for me. They can ruin some ones life. Same with Alcohol. Every now and then it's nice to have a drink but every waking moment of the day? Naaah.
11) Religion.
I'm very open-minded when it comes to people's religion. I'm a Catholic but I never discriminate others because of their religion just like I don't discriminate because of their race. I have lots of friends of different religions; Atheist, Agnostic, Jehovah's Witness, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist. All of them are still the same person in my eyes so even if others do not have the same beliefs as I do I like learning about what others believe in.

Boo! I'm back. biggrin Ooh, this looks like fun! Okay, here goes. whee
Abortion Religious beliefs aside, I believe that the woman should give birth to the baby if it is possible. There are always exceptions, of course. If the woman's health would be in danger by giving birth, or if she lives in a hostile environment where she and the baby may be injured, then I won't condemn them for having an abortion. However, if there are no physical complications, I believe the woman should at least have the baby, and then give it up for adoption. Yes, the baby may have a crappy life, but it is a life all the same, and they should have the opportunity to make the most out of it.
Teen sex My religious belief is that people should only have sex together if they are married. However, I realize that millions of teens are going to have sex anyway, so here's the more practical opinion. They can have sex, so long as they have protection. I also believe that no teens should have sex until they're at least 16 or preferrably 17. Basically, an age where if they got pregnant, it wouldn't be a complete disaster.
Teen pregnancy "Duh" answer on this one. If teens were more responsible and used protection, this wouldn't be such a big deal. If a 16- or 17-year-old gets pregnant, then at least they're close to being adults. But a 12-year-old?! That's why I'm proud to be a Peer Advocate. I get to teach sex ed to the middle and high school health classes in the area.
Gay marriage Religious beliefs aside, I say go for it. That's all I'm gonna say for this one, lol. I have plenty of gay friends, and yes, I know what the Bible says about "gay sex". But I love all my friends and refuse to condemn them.
Sexual preference Ditto on my previous answer.
Suicide Wow, I keep saying "religious beliefs aside", don't I? I believe that suicide is the coward's way out of a difficult situation. Yes, we all have crap in our lives, but we deal with it and we continue to hope for better days. Who said life was easy? All situations can be correctly (except for medical ones, I suppose). There are psychologists and psychiatrists, police officers and doctors, foster homes and distant relatives, family and friends. There is always SOMEONE that you can go to for help.
Self-harm Again, I see it as a coward's way of dealing with a situation. You're only making things worse by hurting yourself.
Love Love is a wonderful thing. Do I believe in love at first sight? No. Key word is "sight". How can you love a person based on how they look? That's lust. Love is for their personality, their quirks, and even their faults. But of course I believe in love.
Drugs and Alcohol Like suicide and self-harm, abuse of either substance is a coward's way out. Using drugs for any purpose other than medical is wrong. Alcohol is fine, so long as it is consumed in moderation.
Religion Ah, here we are. I am Christian, but I am not a fundamentalist. Nor am I Catholic, or any specific kind of Christian. I'm a non-denominational. I believe in God, I believe in Jesus, and I believe that what the Bible says is correct. However, I believe that God is a forgiving God. I also believe that we should not force our beliefs upon others, because once again, God is a forgiving God. So yes, I have my religious beliefs, but I realize that most in the LI forum are not Christian, so I set those beliefs aside and just try to help out the person as best I can. heart Fundamentalists give Christians a bad reputation. scream

ello, I'm Erika and new to tha guild! wink
1) Abortion. Hmmm... I'll admit I think it's wrong. I think a woman should have the baby if it's possible. If it's life threatening then I can see why the woman would want an abortion. 2) Teen sex. I am strongly against it! I thing sex should DEFINATLY wait until your at least 18. 3) Teen pregnancy. Unfortunatly there is alot of it. It's their own fault unless ofcorse if they were raped.. that's just horrible. 4) Gay marriage. I really don't care. I lean more towards the no side of it. 5) Sexual preference (your views, not your own sexual preference). Love is love, ya know? cool 6) Suicide. It's sad that it happens and even sadder that most of it could have been prevented. 7) Self-harm. I've delt with this before... It's unfortunate that some have to resort to it. I wish I could help everyone out there doing it right now. 9) Love. There's so many different kinds of it. Everyone should have more love in their life. 10) Drugs and Alcohol. Not for people under 18....(hypocrite alret) sweatdrop 11) Religion. I used to be some kind of athiest/wiccan like deal. Now I'm back a Christian and glad of it.

I'll be fairly simple... I am a female and 17. Not going to actually give my real name...
I am Roman Catholic, so obviously that tells you right there what some of my views will be. However, I have nothing wrong with gay marriage.
I often like to help people with love issues because I want to someday become a marriage counselor!
I am also kinda lazy as you can tell because I did not fill out the questions about abortion and stuff... xd

Alright ... here it goes.
Hello all smile My name is Nikki, and I'm 19 years old, from British Columbia Canada. I just graduated from college and now I'm trying to get some full time employment, but right now I just sub at a daycare centre in my neighborhood.
I just got out of a long term relationship and I'm not too happy about that ... been pretty depressed lately to tell the truth. But that's not what I'm here to talk about right now.
Here's *some* of my many opinions...
1) Abortion. I am completely pro-choice; however, the girls who use abortion as regular means of birth control disgust me.
2) Teen sex. I was a teenager when I started having sex. As long as you are using protection and birth control and making smart decisions, I think having sex at the legal age (which here is 16) is fine.
3) Teen pregnancy. It makes me angry sometimes, and sad at others. I feel empathy for these mothers even though I have not had a child yet myself, I can see how horribly hard it would be to make the decision that would change the rest of your life at such a young age.
4) Gay marriage. Totally for it! Woot !!
5) Sexual preference (your views, not your own sexual preference). I have no problem with gay/lesbian/bisexual people. They rock my socks!!
6) Suicide. I was suicidal for a long time. I now understand how selfish and lazy and undesireable it really is. All these young teens who think it is cool to harm themselves and wish for death ... they don't know what that would be missing. It's amazing what the right counsellors and personal therapy and medication can do.
7) Self-harm. Been there. Done that. Respect yourself.
9) Love. Ugh ... don't go there right now.
10) Drugs and Alcohol. I go out to the bar/pub/club at least once a week now that I'm legal, and it's lotsa fun. I don't make quite enough money to drink TOO much though. I smoke marijuana, and support legalization. I enjoy keeping informed on issues concerning cannabis.
11) Religion. Wow, I have way too many abstract views on this stuff ... let's just say I can be a spiritual person, but I can also easily lose my faith in whatever it is I believe in.

1) Abortion. :: Im pro-choice. Its the womans decision, and the mans, to decide if they want to bring a child into this world. There could be so many different reasons not to bring on into this world and its their choice to or not. 2) Teen sex. :: I think there should be more sex-ed classes in school and that the family should take their time to educate their children 3) Teen pregnancy. :: Same as teen sex. Girls need to know the cause and effect and the pros and cons of getting pregnant at an early age. 4) Gay marriage. :: Marriage is about love not gender 5) Sexual preference (your views, not your own sexual preference). :: everyone is intitled to their opinion and thier preferences. 6) Suicide. :: we need to lower the rate by having better psycological care. 7) Self-harm. :: same 9) Love. :: Everyone has their own mate. 10) Drugs and Alcohol. :: No no no 11) Religion. :: I dont nkow what to say about this one.
