"Oh erm... sorry" sweatdrop
Well, that was a good way to start a conversation. Well, time for a different tact.
"Oh? You can fight eh? And where did you learn to fight?"

"Papa started my training... But mostly I learned at the Monistary with Relis...." She laught happily and spun on her heel to dip into a little bow. "I'm not just a fighter though, I will be a mage one day... a very powerful one if my teachers were right." xd The little girl was quite obviously proud of herself, at least enough that she never minded amiting to knowing something.
"Are you a fighter? I met lots of nice fighters at this cool place caled Leviathan stadium..." 3nodding

A few crickets chirped off in the distance as muse settled down against Greedy's saddle, the pony still happily stuffing his face on some of the long green shoots that she had found for him earlier as the little girl smiled looking up at the starry night, just enjoying the peace of another quiet day.

Story of Vidunder : Chapter One : Daughter
Once upon a time, long before Gambino and Barton, the world had a different face. Before the physical manifestation of most of Gaia's Gods, The High Mages of Gaia decided that they would play god. A mage for every magic, from meditators to necromancers, put forth a hand into the creation of a monster.
At this time, Gaia was still young, and the world itself was called by a vastly different name, now inpronouncible to human tongues. It was but a country of mages and warriors.
These mages drew up blueprints, took parts of people and studied them very carefully before destroying them just as they would bad parchment or dried ink. In the end, they discovered the first golem. Earthy materials were best for creating these creatures, but there were other elements that could do. And that is what the mages wanted. They wanted those 'other' materials to form an impregnable weapon.
Four generations of High Mages, it took, before they prefected this creature. 183lbs Liquified bat pieces. 10 pints Shadow Fiend blood. And one soul of a ruthless killer. For this job, they chose Gorgath The Death. Gorgath was acomplished in necromancey to the point that he could kill and inslave a soul all at once. He could take a soul and tear it apart until it was but a raw element. But it needed to be fresh.
Using a contact with the Warrior's Guild, Golgath lured out an assassin of extraordinary ability, having survived the business almost 4 times longer than all others. He was prolific for the job. Hiring the assassin, Golgath told him to murder the Lord of the Warrior's Guild. This task was no easy one, and the assassin and warrior fought for a good, long time. The Lord was struck, a blow to the throat. As this assassin was severing the head for a trophy, Golgath snuck up behind him and hit him with a soul stripping spell. His body was instantly destroyed, and his soul was easily captured.
This soul was a father, a husband, a friend, a confidant, and a murderer. Golgath only wanted him to hold the lattermost property. Murderous. Slowly, the Necromancer peeled off layer by layer of humanity and compassion, mercy and civility, until all there was left was a soul with the murderous passion of a madman, and the ability and skill of the most hardened assassin time would ever know.
Through certain arts, the High Mages constructed this body from it's raw elements into it's eventual incarnation. The body was parfection. Seven foot tall, slender at that weight of 183lbs, and totally under their control.
The monster that would come to be known as Vidunder was tested to his fullest limits, being ripped to shreads until almost entirely unmade. His head and limbs were severed a number of times, and his powers were tested to their peak. No matter. Vidunder was totally impervious to death, they had decided. But their thoughts on this little project weren't all that mattered. No. Vidunder had begun to think. About what was anyone's guess. But soon, Vidunder had decided he did not want to be some sort of perfect weapon. He wanted to be his own being.
The next night, the High Mages of Gaia were all murdered, and the record states that it was under 'mysterious circumstances'.
~7000 years later~
Having spent ages hidden away in a form of hybernation, Vidudner felt in his early 3000s, and looked up to the moon with a gentle grin. The blood thirsty monster had become a man of culture and class, enjoying the finer things in life before his stomach. In all sense, he was a new person.
But the scent of living human, especially when he had not eaten that night, made his mouth water. And somewhere, there was human.

Yawning and stretching the tiny twelve year old stood back up to push her pony away from the feed pile "You are really going to get fat if you eat all of that tonight.. save some for breakfast at least... honestly some days I wonder why I decided to take you with me." sweatdrop
Brushing her black hair out of soft lavender eyes she tied the small horse to a stake that she had pounded into the ground just out of reach of the small pile of fresh feed, the animal looking at the child with sad eyes as he lipped at the collar of her rough black jacket. "poor thing... but spring will be along any day now and then you can stuff yourself to the brim on a daily basis again." xp
Throwing the saddle blanket over the fodder, to keep the wind from blowing it away Musset settled back in next to her tiny fire, almost down to glowing embers now, to read a little from a small leather bound book.

"...A child and a horse?" Vidunder stated aloud, looking over the little fire from a great deals away. His stomach growled in angered emptiness, but Vidunder's mind was was much more interested in the girl herself. Such a delicate creature, the poor child. Out here in the wilderness. A morsel of his soul felt the utmost pity for the child, and he decided to see if she needed help.
He was very lanky, his eyes bright red and mirroring, much like that of an animal's eyes, light bouncing off his flat iris. His height was clothed in, of all things, a very fine black suit. Dark Cloth, from the very night shive of the fabric in the dead of night. His strides were a great deal wider than most people, simply because of the length of his legs. It would take only a moment or two before he'd be nearer.
He had the scent of death about him, so there would be no shock if the horse became scared by his appearance. "...Hello, little girl..."

Greedy Gust whipped up his head, shaking and pulling at the tether that held him in place, the scent of death and a predator almost sending the normally calm animal into a full panic...
"Oh for goodness sake... calm down..." Musset was just getting up to calm her horse down when she heard the voice, purple eyes narrowing as she slowly turned to look up at the tall man, a smile of greeting slowly spreading across her face.
"Good evening Sir." She dipped into a little bow, one hand against her chest as she flowed to her feet. stepping around the tiny fire again to pull the scared horse back down on all four hooves, looking him in the eyes for a moment before whispering in his ear. "Go to sleep now Greedy Guts, everything will be fine in the morning..."
The trembling animal hung its head and actually closed its eyes, the stranger and his mistress forgotten as her simple spell sent him into a deep slumber.
Turning back to her guest with the same simple smile, her eyes almost shining a deep purple in the soft glow of the small fire. "I'm Musset..."

Vidunder stepped back, as though made entirely nervous of the horse. He wasn't, be he didn't want this child to go into a panic at the face of death, blahdeblah. When all was settled with a spell, one Vidunder would have to remember about, the man nodded. "I am Vidunder, Miss Musset. A pleasure to meet you, and a queer place to meet you in. Out in the plains, miles from civilization, are you alright?" He asked quietly, acting very concerned.

"Quite fine thank you...I am simply on a journey, and out here there aren't any people to get in the way of my studies." 3nodding The little girl let her bangs fall back over her eyes as she sat down at the feet of the sleeping pony, reaching up to absently scratch the animals chin. "May I ask why you are out here sir, you do not look to be a traveler, and we are a little far from the city for you to just be out for a walk... are you lost perhaps?"

Vidunder nodding, going to his knees and sitting down as properly as one can on the ground. "I too am traveling. And I like to look my best, personally. I like looking my best at all times." His answer was simple enough, and entirely true. He was a very proper guy. "...And where are you headed?"

The child chuckled slightly, looking a little embarrassed as she brushed at the rip on her pants, and tugged at the too short sleeves of her jacket, suddenly aware of the fact that she didn't really look to great, something that never really occurred to her when it was just herself and the pony. "Not really that kind of journey, I came a long way, and I have spent the last year trying to figure out why... I know a part of that puzzle now, but I am still waiting for the clues for the rest of it."
The child shrugged as if it didn't matter. "For now I am simply developing my skills a bit more, and safely figuring out the things my masters didn't have a chance to teach me..."

Vidunder sat up some, looking at the little girl a bit more curiously. "...a chance to? What sort of things, if you don't mind my inquiry."
Vidunder, in all the periods he'd spent alive, would go out and take in a few selected people, be it fighters or mages. His idea was something like this. If he could deposite a little bit of his way in each life time, then eventually, he'll have an equal. Someone he once trained training someone. Eventually everyone just died off in silence. It was frustraiting.
Now, allow me to further specify what qualifies someone. He was the kind that could feel someone's aura, that being the shadow fiend blood in him. And that aura does not change a great deal over the years. You'll always have an aura bigger or smaller or perfect for your form. So, Vidunder would wander around, looking for a candidate. And then steal them from their crib in the middle of the night.
Musset was older than his typical candidate, but what the hell, right?

"Hand to hand combat... Fire and Wind elemental skills, and pure mage craft... Although the later is hard to study on my own sweatdrop most places don't like to lend out the books on that sort of thing." The child looked at the man through her bangs, wondering if this was someone that Rellis and Master Iago would not have liked her talking too...
The fact that Greedy Guts had freaked out about him should have been a warning, but she didn't like to judge people without talking to them first. The child could also see the aura's of beings, but she was not yet confident about the things she saw around people, a color around someone, for instance, could be really confusing. "I like to stop in at this place... a fighting stadium, and I manage to learn all sorts of really neet things from the people there..."

Vidunder nodded, looking at the little girl a moment longer before leaning far back, looking into the sky. "...I assume you mean Leviathan Stadium? S'the only one I've ever heard about that people go to just for the hell of it." Vidunder flinched, bowing his head softly, patting his lips. "...Sorry, Excuse my language..."
