As in, custom creating everything out of the correct materials -- actual kimono silk for my sister's, and probably polyester for mine (hah, I'm cheap xd ).

I wore that one on the first day, the other two days I was Eclair from Kiddy Grade and on the last day just a punk Loli type thing... The Kuronue I wore in 2005, the "1st." one I made, looked like this...  I like the one I wore just this year best, it had a more visible pendant, a great looking visor and the pants and skirt kicked a**... My only problem was the vest really... It didn't hide my chest well enough and opened up too much. I need to work a new one for the next time I wear this.

BAH! Don't let skin colour get in the way of cosplaying your favourite character! I can guarentee that when you're at a convention, surrounded by warm and welcomeing fans, it doesn't matter. Hell I mean if Harry Potter cosplayers can get love at an ANIME convention... well hell I am pretty sure that a black, or brown, or yellow, or WHATEVER coloured Yusuke or whoever you like could get love too!

I've cosplayed as Youko Kurama xD; twice. I hate my wig though D:< I need to fix it. But it was a happy experience since it was my first con and I got glomped...>.> within five minutes of walking in.

PICTURES! Please post pictures! I would love to see your Youko cosplay, I really would!
Oh and about the glomping... yeah, it happens ^^; I have cosplayed some pretty unknown characters but I still get tackled and huggled. It's funny, and since I love hugs I dun mind.

Yeah the red eyes are a nice touch. That's not a bad cosplay actually. I like how you actually got the bulkiness of his cloak. And really, nice work on the hair too, I think it makes it look a little more like in the series, and you know with...(felt, I think that material was) you could get it to stand up and shape better. Nice work ^_^

Thank you so much, Hoshi no Miko! That gave me much more confidence since it'll be one of my cosplays for Sakuracon. I just need to do more work on the hair (and you were right, it is felt) cuz it tends to droop a lot. Other than that, it's complete. ^^

You're welcome Fuyuko ^_^. So you're going to wear that to Sakura con? Awesomeness. I was going to go to Sakura con, but I am not sure I will have the money, or get the time off. I still want to, and who knows, maybe by the time March rolls around I will get to, I have to play it by ear.
