So are you maybe thinking about going to Japan on an exchange in college then? Just to feel out the waters? See if you could stand living there for X amount of years by being there for a year. blaugh While I was there I got very frustrated that I couldn't speak the language fluently and had to resort to very basic language (it felt like it anyway) and I couldn't understand half of what was being said. neutral

I've thought the foreign exchange program sounded kinda interesting. 3nodding Maybe my family can house foreign exchange students. That'd be kinda interesting.

Hosting can be just as much fun as going over there (well, okay, maybe not, but it's still a good chance!), so I say ask your parents to look into it. 3nodding
Sorry to sound a bit ignorant, but what is a "6th former"?

It was funny though. They didn't eat anything because the canteen food is disgusting.

So they were there but afraid to try anything new? Now that's just silly. Why would they think that everything would be the same in a completely different country??

rofl 3 times now she's given one of my friends cheese with her pasta when she didn't ask for it! Extra charging. Funny how she's NEVER done that to her twin sister...
