A look of surprise dawned over Eseen's face when Leadstorm pulled out his weapons. It occured to her that she had met this man only a short while ago outside the club, the recognision not registering in her mind until now. While the guy seemed nice initially, she had a problem with people decieving others to mask their true self in order to look good.

She kept behind the man, out of his field of vision, but nothing too close to look like she was up to something. Turning around to face a passer by, she let off a smile and let her hand trail down her waist to her thigh, almost implying something while she reached for her knife. Luckily, she didn't have to deal with this person as she hadn't managed to catch his attention, but made the reach inconspicuous.

Turning back around again, she kept her eye on Leadstorm, following the group out while she was unsure of what was going to occur. This man they were talking to, whom she had been dancing with earlier didn't look like the type to defend himself against these men. While she herself doubted her ability to take on even one, the guy seemed nice, or at least was nice to her. Well, at least she thought anyway.

"I suggest you don't try any funny business." She spoke sternly, a sense of slur in her voice from still being drunk. She had followed them outside the club and waited until they had stopped for a moment. Her knife was quickly jammed up towards Leadstorm's lower back threateningly, but not hard enough to cause any injury just yet. "You're gonna try and beat a job out of this guy?"

((rl.. how I hate it.. sorry for the lousy post))

He nodded at Trau, admitting to being a local, then smiled as he answered the question.

"The Spire? The greedy live there, the jealous want to live there"

He seemed unimpressed with the place. All it showed was how much money you had, and in order to find that important, you'd have to firstly find money important.

He did however, follow them out of the club, partly because guns weren't his favourite thing to deal with, mostly because he had no reason to doubt their sense of impending doom.

Out of the corner of Mark's eye he saw Leadstorm motion towards him. So just for pre-cautions he zoomed in his sight and took a mental picture of Leadstorm and the people around them as they left. That man had motioned towards Mark for some reason and he might be the threat.

((are we outside or inside? I'll make this general to suit either case...))

"The Spire, huh..." Trau thought back hard; trying to bring up those decade and a half-year old memories was like trying to pull data off of a 3.5 floppy with a DVD drive. He shook his head; the name was familiar, and the building...he should remember- it was in his neighborhood. It was like a blocked memory; he remembered shopping with his mother, going in that direction...then static. Nothing. He sighed. "The Spire."

Then he noticed the girl's knife. Trau just laughed. "Darlin, that man isn't going to shoot you unless he had a reason to shoot you. Right now, you're getting really close to giving him a reason."

((we're by the entrance, still inside the club, just so we're clear.)) ~Leadstorm felt the pressure of a blade on his back. He looked over his shoulder and saw the girl from outside behind him. "Don't worry, I have no ill will towards this guy, But I suggest you stay close to some cover. Something big's about to go down, and I for one am not getting caught with myclip empty."

He just looked at Eseen with a look of amazement at her stupidity in his eyes. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate her concern, he just didn't get why she'd want to take the risk of holding anyone up for someone who had called her stupid for stealing his drink.

Ontop of that, he had given neither man a reason to believe he could do the job they wanted done. All he had done is indicate that he knew someone who could.

The amazed look turned into a smile though, as he spoke again, his voice giving away that he had hopes of spending some 'quality' time with her.

"And here I thought you didn't like me.. "

~Leadstorm debated juicing his adrenaline implants and taking Eseen's knife away, but decided against it. He didn't want to 'up' too soon and come crashing down at an inopertune time... " calm down and put the Street-scalpel away" he said, in the tone of a teasing older brother~

Eseen held the knife firmly at Leadstorm's back. Her eyes had washed over in an attempt to look professional at what she was doing. Truth was that she didn't like to see people picked on, sure it was slightly hypacritical considering she was a thief, but what she done never hurt anyone directly. It was really more lightening their load for lack of a better phrase.

"You'll be leaving my friend alone you hear? He ain't got nothing you want." She gritted through her teeth in somewhat of a mock southern accent, probably well done considering the state of how drunk she was. "Or do you like picking on old men?"

The girl paused for a moment, contemplating her own options to what his response would be. After her mind was made up, she jammed the knife into his back hard, or at least would have if his back didn't move away from him. Not only that, but it seemed to tilt down as if he was slipping under her feet.

What really happened was that her sense of balance fell away. The beat of the music now gone to stabalise it, she fell backwards while trying to stab Leadstorm. Landing perfectly horizontal, her hand opened up and stars flew in front of her eyes while the knife skittered across the floor.

Leadstorm feels the pressure from the blade lessen, and starts to turn around, just in time to see the girl hit the ground. He chuckles under his breath as he holds his hand out to her, offering to help her up. "You know, you should get a little more practice staying on your feet before you try out the 'Gallant Heroine' archtype" he says, in the same 'Older brother' voice.~

He watched, shaking his head slightly. It appeared that she was calling himcall him her friend and in the very next sentence, calledn him an old man.

"I.. uhh.."

He gave up. There was just nothing that could be said to her at that point in time. To his credit, he kept a straight face as she lost her balance.

"She does have a point though"

He spoke once he could speak again without bursting into a fit of laughter.

"I really can't do what she thinks you guys want me to do"

It was more of a guess than knowlege that made him make that statement. He knew what they needed whereas Eseen had come into the conversation a little late.

Trau turned his attention from inside the club back to his small group that had gathered near the entrance. Whatever was going on inside was about ready to boil over, and he didn't want to make the dumb mistake of being hit by something in the back of the head, but whatever was going on here suddenly became more pressing. He turned to Joe, "Whatever that may be, understood. The important part is...you know who can."

He walked over to the knife and, instead of touching his boot to it this time, he picked it up, tossed it in the air, caught it by the blade, and then offered the handle to Eseen. "You keep dropping this. I suggest keeping it in a sheath, darlin'. Just in case you really need it."

~Leadstorm looked around the club, trying to pick out anyone that looked like they knew what was about to happen. "I have a feeling She's a little to tipsy to use that properly, anyway..." he said to the other 2, then twitched the wrist extended towards Eseen. A Polymer One-Shot pistol sprang from his jacket cuff into his hand, and he flipped the handle of it to face the girl in one smooth motion. "Take this, if anything happens, find somewhere safe, and only use it if you have no alternative."

quickly looked over at Joe."Are you armed enough to defend yourself if this place for some reason breaks into chaos?" He asked, then returned his eyes to watching the drunk girl.~

Eseen layed there for some time, contemplating the few things that made it through her head which weren't filtered out by the questions of why the world was trying to turn her around. She could have sworn tunnel vision tried to make an appearance, but her body decided on a slightly different punishment. Her stomach jumped a few centimetres from where it was supposed to be and suddenly it was almost as if she had lost a few pounds.

Her gaze at that point drifted over to Trau, squinting her eyes slightly to get a better focus on what he was up to. By the time she was aware, the knife handle was in her face and a hand was already instinctively reaching up to grab it. She opened her mouth to speak out a word of thanks but her mind quickly became confused as to what she was going to say, something a cross between 'Thankyou', 'I'm gonnna spew' and 'Hi, my name is Eseen'.

The state of sickness she was was quickly interrupted when the awareness of a gun to her face suddenly registered properly. Things seemed to be going slower than usual and her adrenaline kicked in before she heard Leadstorm speak. Once he did to tell her the gun was an offering, she was already shaking, eyes wide and clinging to her knife defensively.

"What the ******** is wrong with you people!?" She exclaimed to noone in particular. While she complained, she snatched the weapon off Leadstorm, something in her taking over while what she spoke and what she done directly conflicted with each other."I don't want to be involved in a gun fight! Go away already and leave us alone!"

~"Yep, she's had it for the night." Leadstorm said to no one in perticular. He looked at Joe, waiting for his response.~

He looked at Leadstorm with a look of 'you are kidding, right?' on his face in response to the question of if he was armed enough. He may not be as armed as the three others were, but he had no plans on taking on an entire army, for him, staying alife was good enough.

Eseen's voice once again demanded his attention, enough so that he moved over to where she was and looking amused asked.

"Which imaginary friend are you talking to?"
