Kaleb nodded, still panting slightly. "If I hold that one longer, I'll burn myself." As it was, he would need to cool down and recover a bit before he attempted any other spell. "It's a good one though. It hasn't been so much as dented by any force it's been tested with."

"You're nice and toasty." He leaned off of Rude's shoulder and nuzzled Kaleb. "Really nice and toasty."

Kaleb had to resist pulling away slightly, a warm body right next to him wasn't so good for dissipating heat. "It can hurt sometimes, channeling that much. And it makes my skin oversensitive," he added with a blush, shivering at Reno's touch.

"Overheating sucks .... but it does make you toasty." He grinned as he left his muzzle on Kaleb's shoulder.

Kaleb smiled a bit, already starting to cool down to more comfortable temperature ranges. "I assume you like toasty?" he asked.

"Toasty is good." He shifted slightly so one of his legs was pulled up onto the couch with him. Turning his head slightly he looked back at Rude. "Right partner?"
Rude grunted and nodded.

Kaleb also fidgeted a bit, readjusting himself so he could sit more comfortably. "Do you mind if I practice my force spells?" he asked.

He nuzzled his muzzle against Kaleb's neck again. "Don't have to ask .. already said you could practice stuff"

Kaleb felt another shiver run down his back, it was hard not to react to the touch when it felt so much more intense than usual. "Mn, just be careful if you need to get off the couch then." He said, and then began his channeling again. Instead of generating shields the magic lifted the couch, and all the other furniture in the room, a good foot in the air.

Rude raised a brow and opened his eyes to look down at where he was no longer touching the floor.
Reno snickered but kept his muzzle on Kaleb's shoulder. He'd been lifted by materia before so it wasn't all that weird to him. Plus it took more than floating furniture to mess with a Turk's head

Using force magic like that was the best way for Kaleb to work on his magical stamina, and when his body temperature rose again it only rose gradually. The mage appeared as though he were doing nothing at all as he maintained the spell, letting his eyes close as he leaned back to relax against Reno.

Reno purred and nuzzled against Kaleb again. He really did like warm things, one of the reason's he usually crashed at Rude's place rather than his own, so having a heated person was far too tempting for him

Kaleb shivered again and snuggled a bit closer. He couldn't help it, with the increased sensitivity he could feel every movement right down to Reno's heartbeat. The rhythm was comforting in it's familiarity, touching the same people repeatedly with healing magic allowed the healer to get to know their bodies quite well as they explored and fixed injuries.

He continued to purr and the only thing keeping him from crawling into Kaleb's lap, or dragging the blond into his, was Rude's arm around his waist.

It was probably a good thing Reno left Kaleb alone for the most part, he only needed to pay minimal attention to the spell he was maintaining while he let the rest of his mind wander. Anything that surprised the mage enough to grab his full attention would certainly cause him to let go of the spell, and drop the furniture.
