"No, our scanning technology has always been precise..." Night said. "I'll get the head technician down here and check this out..." He moved the microphone end of his uni-com link to the side of his muzzle, holding the earpeice in place wit his hand. "Night to Lead Technician."
"I'd imagine so..." The Red Fox morph said. "This is why I never signed up to be an infantry unit."
Quickpaw stood silent for a moment in deep thought. "Your shirt's glowing." Shi said.
The red fox looked to see the collar of his shirt flashing red. He unclipped a small disk that changed into a uni-com headset. He put it on. "This is Garrek." He said into the microphone end. He waited silently while Night explained the situation before he stood up. "Be right there, sir." He said, taking the com link off his head. "Well speak of the devil," Garrek said to Quickpaw, "There's Night right now...I'll be right back." He turned and walked off to cabin 24.

Kray takes a quick look at the machine, not taking anything apart though.
"It appears to be undamaged. I don't see anything wrong from here. I'll leave the more technical stuff to your staff though."

Garrek's clothes had changed into the form of the yellow Technician Jumpsuit as he walked into cabin 24. "Good day Captian." He said, waving at Night in a joking way. "This the guy who's giving my machine a hard time?" He asked, looking at Krayton.
Night nodded and looked at the moniter. "Something's up with it."
"Right, I'll find out what." Garrek said, pulling up hhis sleeve to show a metal arm. A small needle extended from his index finger and he walked over to a port in the wall. He stuck the needle into the port and turned it like a key, then closed his eyes.

"Wow. That must be interesting. You can do that to any compatible machine?" Krayton simply states. It almost looks like his jaw is about to hit the floor.

Night looked over to Kray. "He can't hear you anymore." He said. "When he connects to a computer, he pretty much merges his mind with it." He looked back over at Garrek. "He's a cyborg with enhancements that allow him to both scan and merge with computers and droids." He laughed. "He's also one of Quickpaw's mates."

"Truly amazing, isn't it." His jaw seems to move back into place. He just watches.
"Has he messed with any droids that were programed by my father or mother? I wonder what it feels like to be merged with a computer?"

"There's a good chance that he has." Night said with a shrug. "When something malfunctions, Garrek's the first one Rose sends to check it out."
Garrek opens his eyes and retracts the needle from the computer port. "No bugs or errors in the system." He said. "This guy really does have metal in his head." He gestured to Krayton.

"That isn't possible. I have never injured my head. The most I have ever hurt was just a few scraps and scratches. Nothing major." Kray looks stumped, unsure of what is being said.

"Maybe it was put there at birth." Garrek suggested. "I'm a technician, not a life scientist." He shrugged and pulled the sleeve of his jumpsuit over his mechanical arm, then looked at Night. "Maybe Luca can figure something else out. Or even Rose if she's up to it, I don't know."
"Right." He said. "Dismissed."
Garrek laughed a little and walked out of the room, heading back to the cafe.

"So, does he not know human physiology? Metal in the brain is not suppose to be there, and it isn't there at birth." Kray says after the technician leaves. He looks puzzled, as he tries to figure this out.
(I thought you might have been posting a novel over there. rofl )

"He does, but stuff like this confuses him....a little easily..." Night said. "And to be honest, I'm confused." He walked over to the door. "Well, we'll go see Luca. He can run different scans that let us see whatever that metal is."

"I think that may be best then. I want to get to the bottom of this mystery, plus I still think the scan is off somehow." He shrugs his shoulders, and waits to follow Night, again.
(Novel time yet? Sorry about my own lateness, was making a post saying the towns story line.)

((A little, and if I reply late: I'm writing an NPC staff sheet for the starships))
Night walks out the cabin door and down the housing corridor of the ship. He walked down the stairs and into the main lobby where they had gotten off the dropship and turned to the right. A door in front of him opened to show a circular room lit with green lights. There was a table in the center of the room with a papery cloth over it. Several desks and drawers lined the walls of the room. A hanging lamp was over the table and a small metal tray with surgical equiptment at the back of the table. There was a moniter on the wall with pictures of several X-rays from different people who had been injured in patrols or of refugees who were hurt getting to the starship. A tall figure in a lab coat was looking at the moniter with his back turned to Night and Kray. Even by looking at his ears, you could tell he was a Huskie typed morph. He turned arond to see Night. "Commander." The Huskie said, bowing. "What can I do for you?"
"Hey Luca." Night said. "We need to get a few specific scans on this human." He walked over to the table. "The mmain computer scan showed metal in his head, he says that it wasn't there when he was born and that it wasn't put there because of an injury."
"You sure he's human?" Luca asked, looking Krayton over.
