As the boy drew near, Kat ducked lower, holding her sword in defence and blocking his attack. She pushed up and forward with her blade, pushing the boy back away from her. Kat then rose to her full height and made her own offensive move, disappearing then reapering behind him, her sword making a downwards strike towards his back.

His body seemed to becoem a ligued as the sword hit it. He Splated and her sword stuck int othe ground then he reformed with one of his hand holding her rist and he pulled her forward and at the same time thrusted his rapier at ehr chest.

Kat, who was in a slight state of shock, didn't realise what was actually happening until it was too late. If she had been paying attention, she would have been able to react and remove herself from his grasp, however she wasn't paying attention and it was far too late to react now. With a small gasp, Kat's eyes went wide as the blade struck and went into her.

He smiled and twisted the blade and pushed it in deeper. He had missed the heart on purpose. He pulled it out slowly causeing great pain.

Kat didn't cry out, she didn't wince, she didn't even groan. She would not allow him that satisfaction. Instead she relaxed her body, closed her eyes and allowed the burning pain to engulf her entire body. When the blade was out, Kat collapsed to the ground, blood running down the front of her body.

He smiled And stabed the sword Into a nerve cluster witch inturn acivated the rest of her nervs causing them all of the nerves in her body to pules with etream pain. "scream for me."

Kat shook her head, opening her eyes and looking up at him. She had turned back into a human now and looked poathetic, her hair dull and tangled, her once deep, emerald eyes glazed over with pain. "I won't give you that satisfaction." Kat said quietly, a smile creeping over her lips. "I pity you."

"Really? and why is it that you pity me?" He slid the sword out of her and swung it slinging the blood off it. The Nightmeres swirled around him and when thay dispersed he was a nightmere agine.

Kat's eyes met his as her smile widened. "You take pleasure in this don't you? You like to hurt people. You love to hear them scream in agony and watch their world disappear, right?" She paused, inhailing deeply before bowing her head. "That is why I pity you. You need that pain to be satisfied. Like myself..."

He started laughing. "yes i love to her there screams and watch them fall the way i did when i became a nightmare." He pulleed his suit open showing his chest there was a big scare where his haert should have been though it was obviouse that it was no longer there.

Kat smiled and nodded slightly, letting out her breath slowly. Was she dying? She didn't know, but the pain was subsiding and numbness was taking its place. "If you want to hear a scream and see pain, then why are you wasting your time on me?"

Kat shook her head, shaking off the fuzzyness. She wouldn't die that easily. Staggering to her feet, the woman looked at the nightmare that stood before her. He was the second to ever come close to killing her. The first, though he didn't know she knew, was back in the inn waiting to finish the job he couldn't finish. Kat gave a small chuckled and applauded the nightmare sarcasticly.

Kat shook her head. "No, I think I will continue to laugh." She stated, her voice returning to its former confidence and volume. "After all, I'm not dead yet. Far from it actually."
