Sayuri hummed a faint tune, plucking off the floor of her daughters room some item of clothing or other. It joined the growing pile in her arms, as she moved around tidying. Rhiannon was off somewhere in the woods adjoining their land, out with Wolf and Pup. As most teenagers often were, Rhiannon was a scruffy miss, but Sayuri didnt really mind too much. She hadnt found anything terrible yet; she was dreading the day she came across evidence that Rhiannon was smoking - or even having sex! She stopped humming at that devastating thought, and carried on tidying and folding, putting things away in silence.

David Wolfenbrother
Slipping into the room, David snuck up behind Sayuri, wrapping his arms around her, kissing her neck. "Hey love. Mmmmmm. You smell wonderful, as always." He pulled her close, holding her tight, but gentle.

Quote:
She jumped a little, showering her feet with Rhiannon's clothes as they fell from her arms. She batted at his arms, chuckling.
'Hello you silly man.' she turned in his arms, tilting her head up and planting a kiss on his lips.
'Trying to give me more grey hairs huh?' she said, extracting herself from him, stooping to pick up the dropped items.

David Wolfenbrother
Chuckling, he helps Sayuri pick up. "Na. Just keep you on your toes. Ummmm. Can I talk to you for a bit?" He shifted on his feet a little, showing his nerves just a bit. He wasn't entirely comfortable, but well, his supiriors (that they where) had spoken, and he didn't have a lot of choice. He just hoped that Sayuri would understand.

Quote:
She took the clothes from him swiftly, not sure how Rhiannon would feel if her dad saw some of the clothes she had. She finished putting them away, surveying the room before looking at him sharply.
'I know that tone of voice. I'm not going to want to hear this am I?' she crossed her arms, taking a seat on the crumpled sheets of Rhiannons bed. She smoothed them down as she waited to here what he had to say.

David Wolfenbrother
"I, erm, I've been called into duty to do a job again. I don't really like it, but well, in my line of work, when your called, you don't really get a choise. I've got to go away for a bit. A week and a half, meybe two weeks at the most." He sighed, and hung his head. "I just wanted to let you know before I got the call to leave. It could come at any moment really. Reason I more or less retired a while ago. But every now and then i get called into duty." He sat next to sayuri, sighing a bit. "I'm sorry hun."

Quote:
She nodded, the line of her mouth set. She twisted her wedding band, looking at it.
'You know you've never even fully explained to me what it is you do - did,' she waved her hand.
'Either way. I know I am supposed to be supportive. And I will be. Just sometimes I'd like to actually know' she sighed, then put her hand on his thigh, squeezing it.
'At least you told me before you vanished this time.' she said, chiding him softly.

David Wolfenbrother
"As for what i do, i'm, hrrrrrrm, ya know, i can't really think of a good description of my job. I do a little of everything. I'm a warrior priest technicaly, but i've also ended up doing some spy work, and exorcisms." David stops and shudders. "Its only supposed to be a simple overseeing of some new temples this time, and some training of the new acolytes, but it never hurts to be prepared, ya know?" He smiles a little, kissing Sayuri. "I'm going to miss you love."

Quote:
She frowned;
'But dont they have other people who can do these simple things? Someone who doesnt have a family? What if you are away for longer - and what if you arent here during the next full moon?' she put her arms around him.
'I'll miss you too.' she pouted, her fingers stroking the line of his jaw. When she was with her husband, it was almost as if she wasnt wife and mother - just another horny teenager. She kissed him hungrily, nibbling his lower lip gently.
'Dont go,' she whispered.

David Wolfenbrother
Kissing back just as hungrily, David sighed. "I don't know why i've been picked to go. But when goddesses and spirits speak, it is usually a bad thing to disobey. They tend to make messes when they throw a fit." Kissing her neck gently, he smiled a little. "And I will be back at the end of two weeks, even if i have to tell my goddess to ******** off." Kissing her again, he started for the hallway, pulling Sayuri by the hand, and then stopped, head whipping around to one corner of the room, where a glowing silver orb hung. "Oh damn. Already? You said I had at least a day!!"

A soft, wispery voice floated from the orb. "Things have changed Mooncaller. You have to go. now." Silver tendrils reached out for david, as if to grab him.

Knocking away the tendrils, David growled. "Fine fine. Just a damn moment. Keep your damn tendrils off me too." Turning to Sayrui, he hugged her, kissing her again. "I'm sorry love, but it seems i'm getting drug off into adventure again." He chuckles a bit "Of course, compared to raising a teenage werewolf, anything else should be easy, ne?" He backed into the silver orb after kissing sayuri's hand, blowing a kiss just before he dissappeared.

Quote:
'You best be back by two weeks end,' she socked him in the arm lightly. When he tugged her out of Rhiannons room she grinned. At least they were to have some fun before he le..She blinked at the orb, listening as David talked to it, and the voice that came from it. She scowled, trying to hold onto David, but he pulled away and was gone within the strange thing.
'Be safe,' she whispered mournfully. And she had to tell Rhiannon as well. Maybe, she would make something sweet and chocolately and then she would tell her. They would have a girls night she decided, making to head for the kitchen.

David Wolfenbrother
As Sayuri headed for the kitchen, there was a brisk knock at the door, as if someone was rapping on it with a wooden object.

Quote:
What now? she wondered. She wasnt expecting anyone, and Rhiannon would never knock. She would just burst in, tracking mud and leaves, two equally mucky wolves behind her. She walked swiftly to the door and opened it;
'Hello?'

David Wolfenbrother
Standing on the front steps was a tiny women. She stood about 4'8", and was oldish looking, with some wrinkles and gilt silver hair up in an elaborate bun held by two skewers with ravens carved from onyx on them. As the door opened, she looked up, speaking sharply at first in a wispery, but strong voice. "Its about time you opened the door David... Oh my. I'm sorry. Do I have the residence of David Wolfenbrother?" She held a carved staff in one hand, and was wearing black jeans, and a grey silk blouse, with a flowing black cloak of what appeared to be feathers over them. She hopped from foot to foot nerviously, almost birdlike.

Quote:
Sayuri raised an eyebrow at the woman. She was smaller then Sayuri, which was saying something as Sayuri was not very tall herself.
'David isnt here at the moment. And he wont be back for a while. Can I help?' she said, her voice even and a little cool.

David Wolfenbrother
Smiling a little, the woman stopped shifting around. "Ah, I have the right house then. I was in the area, when I learned that my old pupil David lived in the area. I havn't seen him since he left my care, and I havn't heard from him in over a year, so I decided to check up on him." Her speach is brisk, almost demanding, but still respectful. The shear energy she seems to exude just from speaking seems to belay her elderly apperance. She smiled up at Sayuri a little, leaning a bit on her staff.

Quote:
'Well like I said he isnt here,' she repeated.
'You should come back in two weeks. I'm sure he'll be pleased to see you.' she wasnt entirely sure about that, but she sure wasnt dumb enough to trust just anyone who happened to come to their house. Too much weird stuff with her daughter had made her wary.
'I dont mean to be rude, but I'm about to cook for myself and my daughter.'

David Wolfenbrother
"Daughter? Wait a second." She sniffs the air a moment. "Thats what I thought. You smell like him. He finally settled down and chose a wife? And he didn't invite me! Ooooooooh. Let me guess, he rarely tells you anything too, doesn't he? Oh, that boy is sooooo going to get it when I next see him. I thought I taught him better then that, but I guess not. I don't suppose he still has my dagger does he? The one that i gave him with a raven in flight as its hilt?" She smiles a little. "You don't trust me. ANd for good reason, if you've been around David. Trouble seems to follow that boy."

Quote:
She smelt like David? What the heck was this woman? Her curiosity would have to wait for the moment;
'Yes we are married,' she showed her left hand, the ring catching the light.
She actually smiled wryly at the womans words.
'Yes it does. But I love him. I trust those I know. As for the dagger. I believe he gave it to our daughter.' she still wasnt sure what to do - was this woman going to hang around and wait for the next two weeks or something? She got that impression for some reason.

David Wolfenbrother
The woman chuckled. "So your daughter takes after her father hmmmm? And Married? Well, you caught a good one, even if he is a lout sometimes. I'm sorry, i didn't give my name, did I? I'm Ariana Ravensdoter. Well, its obvious that you are impatient for me to leave, so I should be off. It was nice meeting you." Turning, she starts walking down the path away from the house, wistling a little tune.

Quote:
Well that had been weird. She wasnt about to shout after the woman for her to stay, but she sure as hell would give David an earful when he got back. It was too coincidental that the woman had appeared just after he had left. What was going on? She shut the door firmly, and walked to the kitchen in a slight daze, only stirring when she started opening cupboards to fetch ingredients for the double choc cookies she was going to make.

Dear Diary,

So David has gone off again - at least this time he actually told me before he did his flitting thing! I was hoping to have some quality time before he left. But no - whoever was sending for him had to take him away right that moment. I was very pissed off - and in a state of...well I was frustrated.
A little while after he left and I had resigned myself to cooking chocolatey treats for a girls night in with Rhiannon and myself, there was a knock at the door. It was an woman of late years, Ariana something or other she said her name was. She said that she was David's teacher, or mentor or what have you before he came to Gaia. She didnt know about either myself or Rhiannon - which makes me wonder what else it is that he hides, from me and others.

Rhiannon was a little worried that David was gone. She made me promise that I would lock her away if he hadnt returned by the time the next full moon came around. She was frightened that she wouldnt remember how to control herself when her Dad wasnt there with her. I said I would trust that she would be able to remember her lessons and control herself in her changed state. But I said I would wear the special kimono David had given me with the protection spell woven into it. That seemed to reassure her.

Rhiannon had snuck out early that morning, before Sayuri was up and before breakfast. Her belly grumbled at her. She should have probably grabbed a snack to take with her but her stomach was churning with nervous excitement at what she was going to do. So it was probably best she not eat anything till afterwards. Plus the fact that if she made any noise her mother would wake up and she would be stuck. She wouldnt be able to lie properly to her mother - who had some sixth sense about when Rhiannon was sneaking off to do something she shouldnt.
She jogged all the way into Gaia town, the ponytail she had put her hair up into bounced about behind her as she went. Finally in Barton she located the tattoo parlour she had found the other day. The guy inside hadnt asked her for ID when she went in, and with the cut of the top she was wearing today, she hoped he wouldnt today either. And he didnt. She spent time flicking through the picture catalogues, but didnt find anything she liked more then the one she had chosen during her first visit. She was shown into an odd tilting chair which was set into a almost horizontal position and she lay on her front with her top pulled up to expose her lower back. She shivered a little as he washed her skin, she smelt some sort of disenfectant as he did so. She heard a rustling noise, and listened as the tattoist talked her through the procedure.
He started up the machine and she winced as he began drawing in the outline, biting her lip as he worked. She wasnt sure how much time was passing, but eventually he had finished that part and once again cleaned her skin over the outline in the same way as before. Time passed again, the odd tingling sensation as the needle poked into her skin again and again as he shaded the design, was the only thing keeping her from falling into a doze. Her skin was washed again, the tatooist injected in the black colour and after one final clean he applied a dressing and it was over. She wiped her slightly damp eyes, following him gingerly to the front counter to pay and to hear the instructions for looking after her new tattoo. She was given special cream for it, and she left. She noticed that several hours had gone by...which meant Sayuri would be awake and wondering where the hell she was. She used the remainder of her saved spending money to get a taxi home, and once there, went inside to receive her expected lecture...

Rhiannon pressed her fingers against the tattoo gingerly; it was still a little painful - and scabby and so she covered it up again with a dressing. Pulling on first a strappy low cut top in black, and then a sort of netted blouse that was in a gauzy white see through material (the blouse hung low enough to pretty much disguise the covered up tattoo), she looked at herself in the mirror as she buttoned the blouse shut. Rhiannon was already wearing black leather trousers, and had her boots on already. She brushed her hair out, changed earrings and shoved on some silver-coloured metal bangles. They jangled as she moved, and shone in the light. It was a shame that silver had a bad effect on her - she did actually like silver jewellery. Well rather wear other metal then get a bad silver burn. She turned, looking at herself; yup this would do. It wasnt like she was going 'on the pull' as Sati jokingly said she should do. Rhiannon stuffed money and keys in a pocket, sneaking out of the house.
Half an hour later she was walking through Durem, enjoying the night life, the sounds of people having a good time and the fact that it was not a full moon. The thumping sound of music grew closer and she was soon standing across the road from the nightclub 'Liquid'. It was fairly busy, she saw a steady stream of guys and girls her age walking in and out. She crossed the street, paying the doorman and getting her hand stamped so she wouldnt have to pay again if she left. He also gave her a leaflet. Apparently tonight girls got their first drink for free. She ignored any looks she was getting from people of either sex as she headed in through the dancing, talking crowds and stood at the bar. Handing over her coupon, the barman chatted her up for a little while, handing her the rum and coke she had ordered. She turned her back on him, and he gave up and went after another pretty young thing that was at the bar. She sighed, sipping her drink.
The music was loud to her sensitive ears, and she wasnt here with anyone so she felt a little lonely; but saying all that it was still better then being at home with her mother who was miserable because David wasnt at home. She moved from the bar, grabbing a seat in one of the booths that were arranged on the outer edge of the dance floor. She watched the gyrating couples, some dancing with wild abandon, others looking like they were about to get it on right there on the dance floor! She blushed, turning back to her drink and sipping it. There was a little bit too much rum in it but it was okay. She was startled from thoughts of how it would be nice if it were her and Cyrus dancing out there as a girl dressed in an odd purple velvet dress thing flopped onto the end of the booth.
'S'ok if I sit here a minute?' she asked, pushing the long spiky fringe from her face. Rhiannon nodded mutely.
'Thanks,' the girl said, slumping a little.
'My friends ditched me to go to another club with some greasy guys,' the girl explained. Rhiannon nodded again.
'Dont you speak?' she asked suddenly. Rhiannon blinked;
'Of course - but not usually to strange people who sit down and explain their life story.'
The girl laughed;
'How cute! Such pretty manners. I am guessing your a good girl who lives with her parents huh?'
Rhiannon blushed a little, nodding and feeling strange about being described as 'cute' by another girl!
'I'm Kate by the way,' the girl said, introducing herself.
'Rhiannon,' she replied.
'This your first time here?' Kate asked. Rhiannon nodded.
'I could tell. You look pretty uncomfortable,' she chuckled. Rhiannon squirmed.
'This is helping a little,' she said, holding the glass up that was almost empty.
'Well then I should get you another!' Kate said, leaping up and going over to the bar before Rhiannon could protest. Rhi finished her drink whilst she waited, and felt a little more relaxed as the rum went down. Kate came back, balancing a beer bottle under her arm and holding a glass. The ice in it clinked as she put it down, and she sat next to Rhiannon this time, popping open her own drink.
'Thanks,' Rhiannon said, pushing away the empty glass and nursing the new drink. Kate nodded;
'Your welcome.' she sipped her own drink.
'How come your on your own? No friends - no date?' she asked. Rhiannon shrugged.
'I wanted to see what a place like this was like on my own. And I dont have a boyfriend.' she said, picking out an ice cube and watching it melt on the table top. Kate burped softly, grinning at Rhiannon.
'What about a girlfriend?'
Rhiannon blinked;
'Err no...I mean I dont ,' she blushed, looking at her glass. Kate laughed.
'You squirm alot too.' she teased. Rhiannon took a big gulp of her drink, feeling pleasantly light headed. It also meant she was able to think about what Kate was talking about without screwing her face up. Of course she knew that some girls liked being with other girls - preferred them to boys but she hadnt even thought that she was....like that. She looked at Kate; well she was pretty, she could admit that. But she liked Cyrus...who probably liked Bronwen. Ergh..she rubbed her head. Kate grinned, and threw her arm around Rhiannon's shoulder.
'Your too young to have decided who you like for life!' she declared.
'Bet you havent even kissed a guy - or girl properly for that matter.'
Rhiannon shook her head - wondering vaguely what it was about alcohol that made one relaxed enough to talk about personal stuff to someone she had just met. Kate moved her hand, rubbing the back of Rhiannon's neck. Her eyes slid shut - it was a pleasant sensation, and then she felt Kate's hand on her leg. Her eyes flew open;
'Err Kate..I umm,' she gulped.
'Just have fun Rhiannon. Its nice really - and I wont do anything you dont want.' Kate moved her hand from Rhiannon's leg and put it on her face, tilting her head towards her. Rhiannon shut her eyes tightly - was she really about to have her first kiss - and from a girl! Maybe...if she thought about this being practice for when she kissed a boy. That might help. Kate's lips suddenly pressed against hers, her mouth moving against Rhiannons. And Rhiannon kissed her back, sighing a little. It was...surprisingly pleasant and Kate's lips were soft. She put her arms around Kate - it seemed the thing to do and Kate moved her hand back on Rhiannons thigh, describing a circle on it. Rhiannon broke away finally, her eyes a little dazed. She felt really peculiar. Because it had felt nice.
'Wow..' she breathed. Kate grinned, squeezing her leg.
'Told you it was nice. Not scary huh?'
Rhiannon shook her head;
'Not scary at all.' she giggled suddenly.
'Kissing a guy is about the same,' Kate said, letting Rhiannon go and swigging from her beer. She leaned back and looked at Rhiannon.
'You have a guy you at least like?'
Rhiannon was a litte bemused from the whole kiss thing and took a while to answer;
'Yeah I kinda like a guy. He's cute, and we are friends. But I dont know if he likes me the same way.'
Kate put the bottle down;
'If you kiss him the way you did me he cant help but not.' she teased.
'I - was good?' Rhiannon said, sounding surprised. Kate winked;
'Really good.' she leaned over and pulled Rhiannon to her again, kissing Rhiannon's cheek, and then her mouth again. Rhiannon wanted to protest this wasnt her but it was too nice a feeling, and she kissed her new friend back.

A few drinks later..
'Lets go somewhere else,' Kate said, rubbing Rhiannon's leg.
'My place.' she said, pulling Rhiannon up, and walking the now drunk girl with her. Rhiannon started giggling again and didnt stop until they were standing outside Kate's apartment.
'Nice place,' she managed, looking blearily around the place as Kate steered her through towards her bedroom.
'Its okay,' said Kate, letting Rhiannon fall back onto the bed. Rhiannon was only half awake by now and slid across the bed, resting her head on the pillows. Kate sat on the bed next to her;
'You awake still?' she asked, leaning and kissing Rhiannon again.
'Mmm,' she said, only a little aware the Kate was undoing her blouse. Kate pulled it open, and let her hand drift on Rhiannon's stomach and then slid under her t-shirt. Rhiannon moaned, and then passed out. Kate sighed, pulled her hand away, and tucking Rhiannon under the blankets. She wasnt a horrible person and really had taken to the blushing, cute girl. She lay down next to Rhiannon, lying on top of the sheets and fell asleep as she watched Rhiannon.

In the morning Rhiannon awoke, staring around the strange room in a panic. Where the hell was she? She looked beside her on the bed, remembering as she saw Kate sleeping there. Kate stirred as she felt movement.
'Hiya,' she said, yawning and rubbing her eyes as she sat up.
'You ok?'
Rhiannon shook her head.
'What did you do to me?' she said, motioning to her open blouse.
'Nothing honey. You passed out. I let you sleep. I'm not a monster. I think you're cute. And I want to get to know you better.' Kate smiled.
'I'm not sure. I really - I think I liked it. The kissing I mean,' she was stopped as Kate pulled her close and kissed her softly.
'Ok I do like it,' she admitted.
'But your not sure if this is you huh?' Kate said, rubbing Rhiannons back.
'I want you to be sure.' one of her hands slid under Rhiannon's top. Rhiannon closed her eyes, the sensation was new and god...very enjoyable. She pulled away.
'I like that guy. I like what you've made me feel.' she got off the bed.
'I just need to know if its what I want.'
Kate nodded, standing and getting paper and pen. She scribbled her phone number and her address.
'Call me when you know okay?'
Rhiannon fled the apartment and once on the street stuffed the paper in her pocket. She'd never call - that had to be a one off. No more drink either. It had led her to go off with someone she barely knew. She ran home, and managed to sneak in the house again without Sayuri knowing.

Dear Diary,

I dont know what to do. I feel like I'm a terrible person. I dont know who I am. I dont know if what I'm doing is because of what I am or just because I'm a terrible daughter, a bad person. I've snuck out so many times. I got a tattoo without telling my mother first.
I went to a club, got drunk and...kissed someone. I have no sense. I know I'm a teenager. I know teens are notorious for going a little crazy sometimes. But I feel like its my hidden side that is ruling me right now. I'm not sure if I like it.
I havent spoken to the person I met in the club since I left their place. I've made a new friend, Jay the tattoo artist. He's nice. And it feels safer to like him.
I feel lost.
I have to speak to Cyrus some time soon I think.

David Wolfenbrother
David slowly limped up the path to the house, looking like hell warmed over. Every time he got called on it seemed, it was always when things where going from bad to worse. Fumbling with the door, he gave up with it a moment, just leaning against it, his head thudding against the door lightly.

Quote:
Sayuri was out; food shopping or something. Rhiannon had headphones on, listening to music on her mp3 player, dancing wildly in the living room with Wolf and Pup looking on baffled. Her hair flew around her face as she wriggled her hips, moving to the beat. She winced as she did a dramatic move, forgetting that she had the tattoo on her lower back for a moment. She clicked the music off, going over to the hall mirror, turning and looking at the dressing covering it.
'Owie,' she mumbled, as she accidentally tugged the surgical tape and it shifted on her skin.

David Wolfenbrother
David once again fumbled at the door handle, this time managing to turn it. Problem being, he was still leaning on the door. With a bang and a crash, the door flew open, David tumbling in the door, landing face up at Rhiannons feet, a little dazed.

Quote:
Rhiannon screamed when David fell through the door, yanking the razor sharp knife from her bootstrap and pointing it at him before she realised who the guy was;
'Daddy?' she said, sliding the knife away again and kneeling by him.
'Daddy are you okay?'

David Wolfenbrother
Blinking a bit as the knife was drawn on him, he tried to look beyond the knife, vision a little blurry. "Rhi, Rhiannon? Tha you? Yeah, i'm okay. Just really really tired." Using a table to hold onto, David got on his feet again, dusting himself off, and blink a little, looking at Rhiannon, and then pointing at her back "Wha happened? You hurt!?!" David got a paniced look on his face, while swaying a little on his feet.

Quote:
Rhiannon tugged her t-shirt down - what had possessed her to wear such a short cut top anyways;
'Err not in so many words.' she said.
'Daddy you look terrible. Why dont you sit down?' she suggested, trying to steer the conversation off herself.

David Wolfenbrother
"Fine, i'll sit down, but you will explain what happened afterwards." David weaved and limped to the couch, shooing Wolf and Pup off of it before flopping down, eyes closing for a moment before opening them to look at Rhiannon again. "Well?"

Quote:
She twirled the ends of her hair in her fingers;
'Well you see...I'm not a child anymore..' she said, running on with the speech she had prepared for telling him about her tattoo.
'Aww damnit. I got a tattoo.' she said, giving up on the speech. She chewed on a nail nervously.

David Wolfenbrother
David blinked, and blinked again "A tattoo you say? Does your mother know about this? Did you go to a reputable place to get it done? Did you go to a place that specializes in tattooing werecreatures? Can I see it?" David gave a little smile. "Oh, and watch your mouth. I don't care if you cuss when your out with your friends, but please, not in the house when your mother and i are around?"

Quote:
'Dad its not like I said fu..fudge.' she said, sitting down with a scowl on her face opposite him. She winced a little.
'Its a tattoo Dad...I went to a normal place. Its not like they advertise in the phone book 'we tattoo werewolves!' she shrugged.
'I didnt think it mattered. It wasnt going to be a full moon that day anyways. And you cant see it - I have to leave the dressing on for a while.'

David Wolfenbrother
"Yes, but unless they use special tools, there's a good chance that it might fade when you change tommorow night." David sighed, and motioned for Rhiannone to come nearer. "I think i can make it stick though. I ought to have enough energy for at least that much." He gives a little smile, acting as if he hadn't heard the first comment she had made.

Quote:
'Oh,' she said. And here she thought he was going to bite her head off for getting it. She got up and went over to him, sitting down and turning away so that her back was facing him. She pulled up the back of her top a little, enough to expose the big dressing on it.

David Wolfenbrother
"Hmmmm. What color is the Tattoo? All black, or is it multi colored. Cause there's a good chance of it getting silver highlights from this, if its all black, just to warn you." David gently rested his hand over the bandaged area of her back, waiting for her confermation that it was okay to proceed. Well that, and bolstering his energy levels. He was near to nil right now.

Quote:
'Its black,' she said.
'But i guess that would look pretty cool if it did happen.' she leaned forward a little.
'Go ahead.'

David Wolfenbrother
Nodding, he closed his eyes, and his hand started to glow with a faint, silvery color. All Rhiannon would be able to feel is a light warmth, slowly outlining the tattoo, then filling it, like it was a patch of sunlight on her back, and then slowly fading away. David reached out, gently removing the bandage, to show the tattoo, almost fully healed, shot through with silver sworls here and there. "There you go. Now it will also show up as a design on your fur when your in your other form, or as a wolf." David yawned a bit, laying back against the couch. "Very nice choise of design though." With that, he went into a light dose on the couch.

Quote:
'Owwwwwie,' she squeaked, the surgical tape tugging on her skin. But the tattoo itself didnt hurt really now, and she rushed over to the mirror, turning and squinting to look at it.
'Ooh,' she said.
'It looks really nice now!' she went over to David and kissed him on the forehead.
'Welcome home Daddy,' she whispered, and ran off to her room.

A few minutes later Sayuri pushed the door open with her hip, hands full of carrier bags from doing the weekly shop. She put them down in the kitchen and went into the lounge to sit for a moment when she discovered David. Who looked really tired...and was asleep. She slid quietly into the seat beside him and kissed him tenderly.
'Welcome back sleepyhead.'

David Wolfenbrother
Blinking sleepily, David woke up, and smiled at Sayuri, kissing her again. "Hullo love. Sorry i'm a little late. Things happened, and wouldn't ya believe it, not a darn one of them even knew what a phone was." David made a little face. "So, what did i miss while i was gone, other than Rhiannon getting a tattoo?"

Quote:
She hugged him tightly, sniffing a little in her happiness to see him home safe;
'I missed you so much,' she murmured, kissing his face.
'What else? Some old woman dropped by. Ariana something her name was. She didnt seem to know who I was but she knew you.' she bopped him a little.

David Wolfenbrother
With that, David's face paled considerably. "It wasn't Ariana Ravendoter was it? Short woman, elderly looking, but energetic? Oh Oh OH. I'm in trouble. I'm in for a tongue lashing if its who I think it is." David struggled to sit up, looking a little panicy again.

Quote:
She nodded;
'Why are you looking like I just told you Attila the Hun came visiting? Who is she hun?' she frowned.
'She's just an old woman after all.'

Quote:
Mumbled under his breath came a, "An old woman that can kick my a** if she puts half her mind to it" Chuckling a little, David sat up. "She was my sensei when i was about Rhiannon's age. I didn't even know she knew how to get to gaia from where I used to live. Oh Man, if i'd known that, i would have written her a letter telling her that i had gotten settled down and had a kid and gotten married. She's going to kick my a** for sure for that." David gives a nervious chuckle. "Well, its nice to see some things in life never change, huh? She terrorized me when i was younger, and still does to this day. But really, she's a very loveable person, just strict with her students. And they never stop being her students, no matter what."

Quote:
'Well if you like her so much why didnt you let her know about me..or Rhiannon?' she asked sharply.
'Are you ashamed of having a family or something?' the words caught in her throat a little.
'Or is this just another part of your past...and I have to deal with it.'

David Wolfenbrother
"Because i didn't know how to get ahold of her. I come from, hmmm, an alternate dimension i guess would be the closest description. I have no clue how to send messages back home, or even how to get back there. I ended up in gaia after a long string of accidents. I didn't know she even know that this place existed. I had given up everyone from my past before gaia as lost to me forever. And no silly, why would I ever be ashamed of having a family. You and Rhiannon mean everything to me love." He gently pulled her close, kissing her. "I'm sorry i paniced. I just didn't expect her to turn up all of a sudden, and especially not on gaia. Then again, that is her style, to just waltz in unannounced." He pulls Sayuri up into his lap, snuggling with her, starting to doze a little.

Quote:
'Well I didnt expect her to turn up either,' she said, slightly mollified. She wrapped an arm around him, stroking through his hair with her free hand.
'She turned up right after you left. It was weird.' she kissed the top of his head.
'I think you should sleep. I'll nag you tomorrow.' she giggled quietly.

David Wolfenbrother
"Sorry love. Just exausted. They "forgot" to tell me that they where sending me to help set up churches and temples and shrines in a war torn country. While i was there, it all exploded into civil war." David shivered a little. "I just need to sleep, and rest." Slowly standing, he held out one hand for Sayuri before heading off to the bedroom to sleep. >> And moaybe something else later.

2nd April 2005

Diary entry;

David finally came home - we've spent the last few days getting to know each other again, so we've barely left the bedroom. Plus he was exhausted! I know I'm a mother, but I'm also a woman. I love my husband, and I missed him alot.
I told him about the old woman who came round. He seemed more worried then I thought he would be. She is just an little elderly lady after all! It will be interesting to see if she turns up again now that David is actually home. I hope she doesnt for a while though. David and I have more pressing matters at home to deal with - our daughter. I know she's been sneaking out. I've forgiven her for getting a tattoo without telling me first of all, but she's becoming more wayward as time passes. I know she's a teenager, but I am worried that something will happen to her. I guess I still think of her as my baby. I let her go to Sati's this morning - my other daughter has finally returned. She told me that she had gone to India! of all places, but didnt really say what happened there.
Sometimes I feel like a spare part in their lives; I've watched over them as they grew but now they've spread their wings. I am proud but sad also.
Maybe once Rhiannon has dealt with whatever is troubling her she'll be my daughter again, come and talk to me about things that trouble her. I can really only hope.

Chatting with Cyrus
Quote:
Jiora
[Allowed to post: Myself and Sayuri
Setting: Arcade down the street from the clinic]

Cyrus grumbled a bit as he fed another bill into the coin machine, holding his hand over the coin chute to keep them from scattering over the floor as she slid down. His gaze flicked back to the shooter game he'd been playing for the past hour or so, his ears pinning back just a bit any time someone strayed too close - he wasn't done playing yet!

The coin machine finished churning out quarters, and he stuffed the clinking pile into a pocket, hurrying back over to the game to reclaim his spot. He was sure he could make it past level six this time!

Sayuri_Nitta
Rhiannon tried to ignore the stares she was eliciting; all she knew was it was the last time she would let Sati dress her before she went out! The skirt..well she wasnt sure she could safely call the piece of leather that just came down below her butt a skirt - well the skirt felt draughty, the knee high boots; well she was on board with them. The fitted tee was like a black second skin and she was just glad that Sati had let her wear her leather jacket over it - or there was no WAY she was leaving the house. The bright lights and sounds of an arcade drew her close, maybe she could like hide there until every male had gone away. She nervously tugged her hair and entered, peering around the various machines for a quiet corner.

Jiora
Cyrus remained rather focused on the game for a few minutes, doing a decent job of not noticing the curious looks and stares the people around him were giving Rhiannon. It wasn't that girls were a rarity in the arcade - there was a fair number of them at several other machines. It was more that girls dressed like that in the arcade were a rarity. He finally glanced up as he lost a life, blinking a moment. Was that..?

Agh! There went another life! He scowled at the game a moment and glanced back at Rhiannon, one ear flopping forward curiously. "Rhi? You play video games too?" ...hm. Now that he looked, it seemed like her skirt was as short as Bronnie's. ..maybe shorter.

Sayuri_Nitta
She shook her head;
'Never - I just wanted a place to hide!' she exclaimed. She tugged the skirt down at the back for the umpteenth time - which given that there was so little material to work with only succeeded in pulling it lower on her hips. She scuttled to his side, bumping against him and gave a strained grin;
'Err hiya,' she said.

Jiora
He blinked quizzically and tilted his head to one side. "Hide from what? Is someone after you?" Frowning, he glanced toward the door. There didn't seem to be anyone following her.. Cyrus glanced down again when she bumped against him, scratching the back of his head with the muzzle of the toy gun that went to the game. "Hi.. Are you okay?"

Sayuri_Nitta
She shook her head;
'No just hide..from the stares,' she said, staying close to him.
'I feel people - guys watching me.' she shivered. Damn Sati and her damn 'make Rhiannon more girly' kick. She looked around again, and unwittingly caught the eye of a greasy looking guy who was getting change. He grinned, showing uneven teeth and sauntered over.
'Hi legs,' he said, looking her up and down.
'Wanna ditch this kid and keep me company?'
Rhiannon shook her head mutely, and then grabbed Cyrus, wrapping an arm around him and draping herself on him as an idea presented itself to her.
'He's...my boyfriend,' she managed, giving Cyrus a pleading 'please dont give me away' look.

Jiora
Cyrus shrugged a bit, glancing back at the game for a moment before sighing a bit. He could always come back to it later when he wasn't being accosted by a friend... He dropped the gun back into the holder on the front of the machine and glanced up again as the greaseball made his appearance. He'd been about to say something when Rhi spoke up, drawing his attention instead. Boyfriend?!

A quick glance from her to the guy kept him from arguing, though he wasn't about to just agree to that - where had that come from anyway?! He wouldn't have let the creep do anything to her anyway.

Girls... They would surely be his downfall.

He fixed an irritated scowl on the other male, his tail bristling just a bit. "She's not interested, so back off."

Sayuri_Nitta
The guy gave a shrug and walked off, looking for another girl that wasnt sandwiched to a guy. Rhiannon let out a huge sigh, hugging Cyrus and giggling in relief;
'Oh thank you,' she said, planting a kiss on him as she was so grateful. Then she blushed, finally letting him go.
'I - err thanks. I'm sorry I pretended I was your...boyfriend.' she wasnt actually sorry but was sure he hated it. 'But I really had to...Its too close to the last full moon and I didnt want to change here because some creep was hitting on me.' she shuffled awkwardly on the spot.

Jiora
Cyrus sighed a bit as the guy left, turning his attention back to Rhiannon with the kiss. He grumbled a bit and rubbed at the spot she'd kiss, though he at least seemed less irritated by it than he'd been in the past. "I woulda made him leave anyway though. It was kinda obvious you didn't want anything to do with him."

He tilted his head a bit and glanced at her outfit again. "Why're you wearin' that stuff anyway?" He supposed he could expect outfits like that from Bronnie, but it seemed a bit odd on Rhiannon.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Sati said she was fed up of seeing me in trousers' she said, tugging on the skirt again.
'She said I looked nice. And I kinda of thought so too until - all the staring,' she fidgeted.
'Do you think I look silly?' she asked, looking at him. He did - he thought she looked terrible - she could tell. Unless of course he still thought she gave him cooties when she touched him! Yeah that was probably it.

Jiora
"I think you look like you fished around in Bronnie's closet," he quipped, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Except for maybe the jacket.. You look more like yourself in your normal clothes though. These just look..um. Not you?" He supposed they were nice and all...just..strange on Rhi.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Oh I see.'
Well that was definately it for this outfit! No way did she want to remind him of Bronwen - she tilted her head, asking;
'Why would Bronwen wear something this short anyways? She's just a kid.'

Jiora
"She grew too. I think she just wears that kinda stuff cuz her tail and wings make it hard to find clothes that fit right." He shrugged a bit, rocking back on his heels for a moment.

Sayuri_Nitta
Ergh..Bronwen was a teen too? Yeah she could just see her flashing her legs for Cyrus.
'So whats this game you were playing before I flung myself on you?' she changed the subject swiftly, leaning over and looking at it.
'Is it hard to play?'

Jiora
He glanced back at the game and grinned, turning towards it just a bit. "It's just a shooter game. You have to get all the targets," he paused and motioned to a pixelized person darting across the preview screen, "to clear a level. It's not that hard at first, but it gets more difficult in higher levels cuz the targets can shoot back."

Sayuri_Nitta
'And thats fun? Zapping the little people?' she peered at the screen, kinda smooshing closer to him so she could see.
'Do you spend all your spare time here?' she asked, straightening and looking at him.

Jiora
"Well, yeah. I think it is anyway." He moved aside a bit so she could get a better look and shrugged at her next question. "Not all of it. I've got games at home too. And sometimes I'll just read or listen to music or something."

Sayuri_Nitta
'Dont you ever go walking or anything?' she asked. She loved walking in the woods by her home. Barefoot, clambering up trees, or swimming in the hidden lake, with Wolf and Pup always at her side.
'You should come to my house - see the woods. Its beautiful there. And so peaceful.' she grinned.
'I once ran nak..err,' she giggled, realising that her rambling mouth had led her to slip something out.
'Well its really secluded there lets just say that.'

Jiora
"I walk around the forest near my house sometimes. Not so much lately.." He paused and blinked down at her. She ran what..? Some small part of him piped up that it would've liked to see that, and the rest promptly shoved that small part back into the quiet it'd slunk from. "I..uh.. Maybe I'll stop by some time.."

Sayuri_Nitta
'You really should,'she nodded.
She would love him to come around but had never been bold enough to ask before now. Maybe she had something to thank 'the skirt' for.
'Hey do you want to take a look in that tattoo shop I told you about or you want to shoot more little people?' she asked.

Jiora
He glanced between Rhi and the game for a moment, shrugging and taking a step towards the exit. "I guess we can go to the tattoo place. I don't think I'll get anything right now, but it can't hurt to take a look, right?"

Sayuri_Nitta
She grabbed his arm, nodding and smiling at him;
'You can just look at the catalogues! There are some great designs and Jay might even be working on someone so you can see what happens.' her cheeks went a little bit pink as she mentioned the tattoo artist's name. Neither David nor Sayuri knew that their daughter had revisited the tattoo parlour often, and had struck up a friendship with the owner, who Rhiannon had realised was pretty good looking. She had been so nervous when she got the tattoo done that she hadnt noticed his appearance. She steered Cyrus away from the arcade and down the street.
'Here,' she said,eventually stopping outside a small shop front. She tugged on her skirt before pushing open the door.

Jiora
"Jay?" He gave Rhi a vaguely questioning look. She knew the tattoo guy? Weren't they supposed to be big and scary looking or something? He glanced up at the shop Rhi'd led him to, eyeing it a moment before slipping in after her.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Yes Jay,' she repeated.
'Did I hear my name?' said a voice and she turned, a sweet smile spreading on her face. The guy behind the counter was tallish, athletically built with long black hair. He looked vaguely american-indian, and he grinned at Rhiannon, showing white teeth. He was wearing a leather waistcoat over his bare chest and black denims she noticed as he walked around the counter, and didnt look remotely scary or overly tattooed.
'So hows my little wolf?' he asked, taking a seat on a stool and looking at her.
'I see you've brought a friend with you.' he winked at Cyrus.
'Hey.' then he chuckled;
'This your guy then?' he asked Rhiannon.
'Jaaaaay!' she squealed, going crimson.

Jiora
Cyrus tilted his head at Jay, eyeing him curiously for a moment. The guy could do with a shirt, he decided after a moment. He made a bit of a face at Jay's question, half-grinning and rolling his eyes. This wasn't going to be a normal thing with all Rhi's friends, was it? And what about Bronnie's?! Ugh.. Fun, with a capital sarcasm. "I'm just her friend is all. I'm Cyrus."

Sayuri_Nitta
'Yeah see,' she said, a weird feeling in her tummy when he said it so firmly.
'Just a frieeeeend,' she mimicked, rolling her eyes at Jay.
'He is interested in getting a tattoo. I said he could look through the design catalogues,' she said, cheekily ducking behind the counter and pulling the full leafed plastic bound book out. She sat down on one of the plastic chairs with it, and motioned Cyrus over.

Jiora
Cyrus leaned against the counter, peering curiously at the book Rhiannon had grabbed. "Yeah.. It'll probably be a while before I actually get one though." He shrugged a bit. "I'm just looking right now."

Sayuri_Nitta
She held it out to him;
'Have a look through - you can sit next to me,' she poked her tongue out and patted the plastic chair beside her.
'I wont bite,' she said.
'Not unless you ask her to,' quipped Jay as he breezed past with a box of disposable gloves in his hands. Rhiannon's cheeks flushed red again.

Jiora
Cyrus sat down in the offered chair without question, leaning forward a bit and flipping a page or two. He did glance between Jay and Rhi a bit, looking mildly amused by the comment, and paused to blink at Rhiannon. "What're you blushing for?"

Sayuri_Nitta
'No particular reason,' she mumbled, looking at Cyrus sidelong. He really didnt have a clue did he? Well not that she had a real clue about her feelings for Cyrus. Although she'd had the odd daydream or two...she tucked her hair behind an ear to stop it from slipping forwards.
'You see anything you like?' she asked.

Jiora
He simply blinked at her once or twice, looking confused as usual. What strange sort of person blushed for no reason? His thoughts were forgotten with her question though, and he turned his attention back to the book, flipping back a few pages. "I was thinkin' maybe one of these," he said, pointing to a page of tribal patterns.

Sayuri_Nitta
She nodded;
'Yeah they would look good. But whereabouts on your...body?' she asked quietly. And here came the blush again. Maybe she could try and not think of him in the way she was thinking...well try anyways.

Jiora
"I dunno," he mumbled, ears pricking a bit. "Maybe my arm like you said.. Or over one of my shoulder blades," he said, gesturing to the spots as he spoke. "Maybe..."

He trailed off, frowning thoughtfully at her - she was doing that blushing for no reason thing again! "Maybe you're getting sick. You're all flushed again."

Sayuri_Nitta
'Yeah maybe,' she echoed, unconciously leaning in as he pointed at himself.
'What? No I'm not sick,' she protested.
'You wouldnt understand,' she said, looking down at the book.

Jiora
Cyrus stared at her in confusion. "Well if you aren't sick then what's wrong? Why wouldn't I understand?" He paused a moment to think, tail swishing impatiently. "Is it just too hot in here, maybe?"

Sayuri_Nitta
'Yes thats it - its too hot,' she muttered. She didnt realise that Jay was in earshot again and had assessed the situation correctly.
'What she means is that she has the hots for you,' he snickered, then gave an eep noise as she looked up and glared at him.
'I'll be in the back,' he said, strolling off and chuckling a little.
Crap, crap she thought, staring hard at one of the designs on the page in front of her. Now what?

Jiora
"Well maybe we sho-" He broke off as Jay spoke up, glancing from him to Rhiannon and then finally down at the book again. Rhi..liked him? Liked him. "Um.." He dragged his fingers through his hair, pausing to tug nervously at one of his ears. "Well. Um.."

Cyrus sighed, crossing his arms on the table and dropping his head down to rest on them. Hearing this right now..well.. It wasn't making things any easier. Another sigh, and he looked up at her again. "You're my friend, Rhi. This is..not expected. I mean..we fought all the time just a little while ago, didn't we? Where'd this come from?"

Sayuri_Nitta
'Why did you think I was fighting with you? I didnt know how to deal with this,' she held her hands up, clearly frustrated. She stood, pacing the floor in front of him.
'I know I'm your friend. You keep making that abundantly clear. Like even thinking of me in that way is a horrible thing.' she sighed, stopping and crossing her arms.
'I didnt ask to like you like this you know. I just do. I think about...stuff - and your included.'

(( btw not sex - just kissing stuff is what she means hehe XD ))

Jiora
"I kinda thought it was cuz you didn't like me. Or cuz you didn't like Bronnie or something like that." Just how did fighting equal liking someone anyway? This was just bizarre..

He blinked and glanced at Rhi again, one ear pinning back a bit. "You...daydream about me?" His other ear began twitching while he tried to decide whether he wanted to ask further about that - just what exactly was she thinking about when she thought of him anyway?

Sayuri_Nitta
She sat next to him again, tugging on a strand of her hair and looking at her knees. Then she looked at him;
'I do like you,' she said quietly. She winced at his question.
'I kind of do yeah. Like,' she paused and then thought she might as well tell it all. It wasnt like she could be even more embarrassed then she felt.
'Like what it would be like to kiss you. Properly.'
There she had said it. She waited for him to flee for the exit.

Jiora
Cyrus sighed and turned his gaze on the ceiling - man there were some nice cracks up there! He made an odd, coughing sound in the back of his throat when Rhi answered his question, a hint of a blush staining his cheeks. "Yeah..well... I, um.. I'm not even thinking about that kinda stuff yet. ..about anyone." He dared a sidelong glance at her, looking ready to make a mad dash for the door, though he hadn't moved just yet. "So...um...sorry," he mumbled.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Its okay,' she said, nodding.
'I thought - I mean you probably still think girls give you cooties right?'
It hadnt been that painful to say in the end, and she still managed to crack a joke. She shrugged.
'My Mum said guys mature slower then girls anyway.'

Jiora
"Um. No. But they do get mad at me a lot," he grumbled, frowning a bit at the wall for a moment. He didn't think he'd ever understand that part of things. ...unless they really all liked him like Rhi did. Why couldn't they just be normal?

"I do not mature slow!" he cried, ears pinning back in a childish sulk.

Sayuri_Nitta
She put her arm around his shoulders and giggled - it was funny how finally telling him had made her feel more relaxed.
'I'm not mad at you remember? And I said 'guys',' she said, poking him on the end of the nose.
'If you sulk you'll get wrinkles,' she said.

Jiora
He didn't pull away - so long as she didn't try any of that mushy stuff he didn't have a problem with it. Managing a bit of a chuckle, he stuck his tongue out at her when she poked his nose. "You get wrinkles no matter what anyway."

Talk continued until Rhiannon becomes the hunted..

Sayuri_Nitta
'Yeah but they'll come quicker if you keep pulling that face,' she nudged him, moving the finger that had poked his nose and tapping his forehead lightly with it.
'Deep frown lines here.' she giggled. She had thought he was cute when he pouted but she wasnt about to tell him that! This was nice she thought; she was kinda hugging him and he wasnt even protesting.

Jiora
"Uh-huh." He grinned lopsidedly and rubbed his forehead where she'd tapped him, eyes crossing as he tried to look at the spot. "Well it'll still be a good while before I have to worry about wrinkles, so no worries."

Sayuri_Nitta
Rhiannon giggled;
'I know that silly. I was telling you not to sulk,' she looked at the catalogue that had gotten pushed to one side during her revelation.
'So are you still thinking about getting a tattoo?' she asked.

Jiora
He stuck his tongue out at her again, tucking his hands behind his head and peering down at the catalogue again. "Yeah.. I probably will, but I'm still gonna wait til I know just what I want. Gotta be sure I won't change my mind later."

Sayuri_Nitta
She nodded;
'Yeah I dont think I'd want to go through that laser surgery stuff to remove a tattoo.' she unwound her arm from him and poked him in the belly.
'Do you think your mom will totally flip about it?' she grinned at him.

Jiora
He grinned a bit sheepishly. "Well...she can't flip out if she doesn't know about it. I don't really plan on telling her about it. That's why I wanna get it somewhere where she won't be able to see it." He paused a moment. "I bet my aunt would think it's cool though."

Sayuri_Nitta
'You know what mothers are like,' she said, sitting back in her chair and putting one foot on the seat, completely forgetting that she was wearing the skirt-belt. She leaned on her knee.
'You'd have to like get it on your butt for her not to find it eventually.' she giggled.

Jiora
He shrugged a bit, flipping through the catalogue absently again. "I don't think it'd be all that hard to hide. She doesn't really pay attention to me most of the time. I figure as long as I can cover it up without looking weird she won't notice." He glanced at her briefly, making an odd sound in the back of his throat when he noticed the way she was sitting and looking away again.

Sayuri_Nitta
She put her leg down and gave him a peculiar look;
'Okay now you're behaving odd.' she peered at him.
'What? What did I do?'

Jiora
Cyrus blushed lightly and watched her from the corner of his eye. Had she really not noticed? "Well..um.. You know anyone can look when you sit like you were, right?" he asked hurriedly, dropping his gaze to the catalogue again - what a wonderful distraction it made.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Look at what?' she started.
'Ohhhh,' she blushed but laughed.
'Sorry - I didnt mean to flash you.' she tugged the skirt down as much as she could.

Jiora
He scratched behind one of his ears, chuckling a bit as he willed his blush away. "Yeah..well.. It's okay. Not like you're the first that's done that."

Sayuri_Nitta
She raised an eyebrow at that but decided not to ask who it was - she had a vague inkling anyway from one of his earlier comments.
'Oh so you like looking at girls panties?' she teased. There came a stifled laugh from the back of the shop.
'Jaaay - I know your listening!' she yelled.
'Sorry,' he called.

Jiora
His blush returned full force, and he pulled a somewhat offended look. Though, he looked more concerned she might try to smack him than anything. "It was totally on accident then too!" His glanced toward the back of the shop at the sound of Jay's voice, his blush darkening again. Wonderful.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Thats not really an answer though. If it was an accident you can still like it.' she grinned, leaning forward and winking at him.
'I wont tell anyone you like it of course,' she teased.

Jiora
Shame it wasn't possible for him to blush any brighter. It probably would've been amusing to see him the color of a cherry. "But it was just an accident!" he protested again, though even he wasn't sure what point he was trying to prove any longer. "You better not," he added as an afterthought in vaguely childish tone.

Sayuri_Nitta
'Or what?' she said, giggling.
'I mean I wouldnt - but what would you do if I did tell?' Rhiannon tilted her head, amused that it was he who was blushing a whooole lot for once.

Jiora
"Uh.." He blinked a bit and frowned. "Well.. I'd.." He grumbled finally, ears flopping back in a lazy attempt at a grumpy expression. "So I dunno what I'd do. But I'll think of somethin'."

Sayuri_Nitta
'Oh no - you'd sulk at me!' she giggled, getting off the chair and kneeling before him, her hands clasped as in supplication.
'Please dont sulk sir - I wont tell,' she said, her face mock-serious. Then she stood again.
'You wanna get out of here? I could use a soda or something. Plus we wont have big ears listening.' she giggled as there came a muffled 'hey!'.
'See?' she said.

Jiora
He arched a brow at her, mouth twitching as he struggled not to laugh when she knelt before him. "I promise," he said with as serious a face as he could manage, which really wasn't very serious at all. He couldn't stop snickering.

Cyrus stood with her, glancing towards the back of the shop again and nodded. "Yeah. A soda sounds good."

Sayuri_Nitta
She smiled, calling goodbye to Jay and steering Cyrus outside swiftly.
'Hmm...theres a cafe down here I think!' she said, pointing down the street.
'You were laughing at me kneeling before you - I made you laugh,' Rhiannon said, grinning.
'I'm glad.'

Jiora
He waved absentmindedly over his shoulder, not really expecting the tattooist to notice, and started in the direction Rhiannon had pointed. "Well yeah, you made me laugh. You were bein' funny." He glanced down at her curiously, one ear flopping in her direction. "Is it really that big a deal?"

Sayuri_Nitta
'Well yes,' she said, looking ahead as she walked.
'To me it is. I guess you'll think thats weird. Its all tied up with me liking you. I like seeing you smile too,' she grinned, pushing open the brightly painted door of the cafe. She went inside and walked over to the counter and hopped onto a stool at it, waiting for the waitress to walk over.

Jiora
Cyrus watched her for a few long moments before rolling his shoulders in a shrug. "I guess that makes sense," he said, slouching onto a stool by Rhiannon to wait. "People like making their friends happy and all."

Sayuri_Nitta
She nodded, ordering a strawberry smoothie when the waitress finally came over - she fancied something more then a soda by then.
'Speaking of friends I hope Damien is ok. I havent seen him for ages,' she pulled a paper napkin from the dispenser and folded it into a little square, then let it sproing open.

Jiora
Cyrus got a chocolate milkshake for himself and leaned against the counter lazily. "Damien..?" He drummed his fingers on the table in thought. "I remember him.. I never really saw him around much though. It's usually just you and Bronnie."

Sayuri_Nitta
'Yeah I know. Its weird. Arent their like loads of kids from the GMFC? Where did they all vanish to?' Rhiannon leaned on the counter, peering at the stuff behind it.
'Not that I'm tired of you or anything,' she giggled.
'Its just - odd.'
The waitress came back with their order and she poked around her glass with a straw, smushing any fruit bits with it.

Jiora
"Maybe they have other things to do or something." His eyes lit up when the waitress set his milkshake down, and he slurped contently at it, tail wagging just a bit. "I mean, I see some other kids, but not real often. It is kinda weird."

Sayuri_Nitta
She giggled, noticing his tail and going 'aww' in her head;
'Maybe their parents are just extra protective or something. I dont think there are any other teens then us three that I know of.' she shrugged.
'So do you have to brush your tail? Does it get tangled?' she asked, grinning. She was kinda teasing but was also weirdly curious about it.

Jiora
"Maybe," he echoed, gazing into the depths of his shake. Maybe the other kids just didn't like hanging around a clinic..

He glanced back at his tail when Rhi brought it up, shrugging just a bit. "Sometimes.. The fur on it's kinda long, so yeah. It'll get tangled if I don't."

{{I'm gonna grab some lunch real quick. :3 I'll be back in 15-ish minutes.}}

Sayuri_Nitta
'Could be worse...when I change my fur is a tangle-magnet. I'm just glad it doesnt last for more then 3 nights. Of course I can do the change thing at other times now. Well I can try. I'm having varying success at doing so,' she chuckled, sucking down some smoothie. She hiccuped.

Jiora
He tilted an ear at her curiously. "You can change when you want now? Does it still hurt, or does it hurt less with practice?" He took another long slurp of his milkshake, though, for the moment at least, his attention remained on Rhi.

Sayuri_Nitta
She held up her hand a moment, as though telling him to wait and watch. Shutting her eyes, searching inside and remembering the moon's pull. She was looking to flip the little switch that the lunar light affected. Ahh...there it was. She twitched a little as her tail flowed out and down, and ears pushed up through her hair. She stopped it there, opening her eyes and breathing a little hard with the effort;
'It hurts less as each change goes by.' she said, tapping nails on the counter that were more like claws now. She hadnt quite got the controlling thing down but she was getting better.

Jiora
He swiveled around on his stool to watch her, resting one arm on the counter. There was an audible gasp from him as she began to change - this was really the first time he'd seen anyone shapeshifting in person. His mother had never done it in front of him before.

He leaned forward to poke curiously at one of her ears, eyes lighting up when she mentioned it hurt less with practice. "Really? That's good."

Sayuri_Nitta
'Its a good thing I'm wearing this skirt. My tail grew accidentally once when i was wearing jeans. That hurt,' she chuckled. She flicked the ear he had poked.
'They are real ya know,' she grinned at him, then sighed, poking her longer canines.
'I need more practice as you can tell.'

Jiora
Cyrus winced a bit, imagining what it must've felt like suddenly sprouting a tail in jeans, and tucked his own tail closer to him. He blinked dumbly at her, shaking his head just a bit. "Um..I can't really tell though. I don't have hardly any practice with shapeshifting, so to me that just looks really awesome," he said with a grin.

Sayuri_Nitta
She smiled broadly, blushing and squirming on the stool;
's'nothin special,' she mumbled, and then sneezed. Her ears and tail shrunk away and her eyeteeth shrank to their normal size. She giggled.
'You can do something like that yourself?' she asked.

Jiora
"Um...sorta," he mumbled, taking a sudden interest in his milkshake again. "I only did it once on accident, but I can turn into a fox. I haven't really tried to since I did the first time though."

Sayuri_Nitta
'How cool!' she exclaimed. And really cute sounding. Another thing Rhiannon wouldnt be saying out loud.
'You should try. That sounds neat - 'less it hurts to do it - does it?'

Jiora
"I know.. I need to practice with my aunt or something." He frowned a bit and took twirled his shake around with the straw. "I don't remember if it hurt when I turned into the fox, but it hurt to change back."

Sayuri_Nitta
Rhiannon nodded;
'Its best to do it with someone who knows what they are doing. I'm glad my dad was around during my first change,' she shivered a little, then stopped. The hairs on the back of her neck rose a little and she listened intently. That was odd - she felt like someone was watching her. And not just the normal leering she'd gotten in this outfit. Something else.

Jiora
"Yeah, that's why I think my aunt.. She's got a bit more experience with turning into animals..." He trailed off and frowned curiously at her when he noticed how quiet she'd gotten. "You okay, Rhi?"

Sayuri_Nitta
'I dont know,' there it was again. It was almost like - she remembered now. When she was in the club last week; before the drink and the experimental kissing of that girl - there had been a feeling of being watched. She had forgotten it until now.
'Deja Vu,' she whispered.

Jiora
He blinked a bit, eyeing her curiously. "Well..if it's creeping you out we could always go somewhere else or something. You didn't want anything else from here, did you?"

Sayuri_Nitta
She nodded;
'I dont want anything else. We should...we should go,' she looked a little panicked. All the senses that had developed once her first change was past were yelling at her to flee. But she didnt know why.

Jiora
His ears flopped down in confusion and more then a bit of worry as he watched her. What was going on to make her look so nervous? He glanced around the shop hesitantly as he stood up, moving away from the counter. "Well, c'mon. Let's go then."

Sayuri_Nitta
As they neared the front of the cafe the front window exploded, glass and broken wood shards spraying the area directly in front of it. A figure landed in the debris, raised a small crossbow and fired at Rhiannon. The dart thunked into the wall behind her as she ducked. The black clad figure stood, reloading the weapon as it did so;
'Beast!' the person shouted, aiming again.
'I wont miss this time.'
Rhiannon froze for a split second, glancing at the - silvery coloured bolt in the wall. A werewolf hunter! She had to get out of here - escape to home and take the hunter away from Cyrus's vicinity. He wouldnt get hurt because of her. Adrenaline took over and she snatched up one of the chairs and flung it at the hunter, yelling at Cyrus;
'Get back! He only wants me.'
The chair caught the hunter in the chest, staggering it. Rhiannon shot a look at Cyrus, and then ran swiftly from the Cafe. The hunter got to its feet and leaped back through the broken window, hot on her trail.

Jiora
Cyrus flinched reflexively, throwing his arms up to shield his face in a defensive gesture. He lowered his arms a tiny bit, glancing up just in time to see the crossbow bolt miss Rhiannon - what the ********?! His gaze snapped at the figure that'd fired the bolt, ears pinning back in a rather shocked look. And then Rhi was telling him to stay away?! How the hell would that help anything?!

Even so, he hesitated a moment or two, chewing his lip in silent debate before following them. He doubted he was quite as fast as either of them, or that he'd even be of any help at all if he managed to catch up at all, but standing around and panicking wouldn't do any good! And Rhi was..was..a girl! What kind of low-life went around shooting at girls?!

Sayuri_Nitta
The hunter had caught up with her; Rhiannon had gotten lost in her panic and had gone down a dead ended alleyway. She looked around wildly but the fence was too high for her to scale. She blinked in the gloom, managing to make out the figure standing at the end. The hunter was about to fire when footsteps were heard, it turned to look and then Rhiannon sprang forwards, bowling into the hunter and knocking it down. She sprinted away and ran straight into Cyrus.

Jiora
He stumbled back a bit when Rhiannon ran into him, managing to catch himself by pressing his hand against the wall of a building. He recoiled at first before recognizing her, breathing a sigh of relief. She didn't seem to be hurt... "Rhi, what's going on? Why's that guy after you?!"

Sayuri_Nitta
'A werewolf hunter..' she said, leaning against the wall and catching her breath.
'God Cyrus I told you stay.' she looked at him.
'Its after me..please. Please dont get involved. I dont want you to get hurt,' she pleaded.
'I have to go. I have to get my dad - he can stop this hunter,' she hoped anyway. She touched his cheek, then froze, listening to what sounded like someone approaching. She took off again, and the hunter followed, leaving Cyrus alone as she had said.

Jiora
"I can handle it fine though," he hissed through clenched teeth. He wasn't looking at her as he spoke though - his gaze flit from one spot to another, as though expecting the hunter to appear from thin air. "You jus-" He never got to finish his sentence though, finding himself standing alone as Rhiannon and the hunter took off again.

A frustrated growl rolled in the back of his throat, and he followed them again. He was tired though - a few rounds of DDR before Rhiannon had shown up saw to that - and they kept getting further away. He just...he couldn't catch up. <******** class="clear">

Quote:
Rhiannon's feet pounded along the streets, her fear lending wings to her flight. She could hear the hunter still following. Rhiannon was getting tired, and her steps were becoming heavy and she still had a long ways to go. She stumbled, falling forward and the action saved her life. The hunter had stopped, aimed and fired another silver bolt at her and it whistled over her head. Rhiannon screamed in terror, and the hunter was on her, a glinting knife in its hand. The hunter grabbed her by the jacket collar, pulling her close to its masked face;
'Noo,' Rhiannon moaned, struggling.
'Please - I havent done anything.' she pleaded, tears streaming down her face. The knife was raised up high, the hunter was about to stab her when there came a shout from some passerby. Rhiannon twisted, kicking out with her boot tip and caught her attacker in the gut. The hunter recoiled, but slashed at Rhiannon, slicing into the skin on her thigh. The pain was like fire, and blood spilled down. By this time the guy who had shouted was pulling the hunter off and Rhiannon scrambled to her feet, staggering away as the good samaritan and the werewolf hunter tustled. Now all the hunter had to do was follow Rhiannon's bloodtrail but she couldnt afford to stop and tie the wound up. Streets, roads, and then finally into the greener, wooded area that led to her house passed by in a blur, as she limped along, a hand against the still-bleeding wound. Finally her house was in sight, and she felt a measure of relief.
'Dad,' she called, her voice sounding feeble to her ears. A faint feeling passed over her and she crumbled to the ground, one hand red with her blood pointing towards her front door.
'Daddy,' she mumured, crying again, and she passed out.

David Wolfenbrother
David had been meditation on the top of the cliff. Something about the day had unsettled him, so he had come here to try and relax. Just as he was finally unwinding, the scent of blood carried itself on the wind to him. Peering down, he saw a girl stumble and fall on the path to the house, and hear her say dad. That was Rhiannon! Throwing caution to the wind, David leaped from the top of the cliff, letting his wings emerge just long enough to slow his decent enough he didn't splatter, scrambling over to rhiannon, tearing off his shirt, and pressing it into the cut on her leg. If she hadn't healed, that meant either magic, or silver was involved. And that meant trouble. Gently stroking her cheek, he picked her up, keeping an eye around him as he ran into the house, yelling for Sayuri.

Quote:
The hunter stood, one glove removed now, pale, elegant fingers rubbing the blood together. A tissue was produced and the blood was wiped away, the tissue discarded and landing on the now groaning form of the good samaritan at the hunters feet. The mask was pulled off, to reveal deep red hair, tightly wound up in a bun - a woman. She sighed, shaking her head, and kneeling by the man;
'Just be thankful you arent a monster like that girl,' she said.
'You'd be dead by now.' she stood, stepping over him. She reloaded the bow, slid the silver-coated knife back where it belonged, and took off, following the blood trail. Her brother's whelp would lead her right to him.

Rhiannon's eyes fluttered open briefly;
'Daddy,' she mumbled, then shut them again. She felt weak - so this was what it was like to be stabbed with silver. Sayuri came out from the kitchen area, carrying a bowl which she was mixing something in;
'David what on earth are you yelling for?'
Then she saw Rhiannon in her arms - and the blood. She paled, the bowl slipping from her fingers and smashing at her feet. She ran over to David;
'My baby, my little girl!' she cried.
'What's happened - whats going on?'

David Wolfenbrother
"I dunno. Here, help me clean her up so I can see how bad it is." He laid Rhiannon on the couch, not caring about bloodstains, rushing to one of the doors leading back into the cliffs, pressing certain runes as he wispered under his breath, the door seeming to just vanish as he disappered inside, coming back with a large bowl of water, a washcloth, and dragging a large chest. He set the bowl down on the endtable, pressing the cloth into Sayuri's hands as he sat down near rhiannon's head, holding her hand, brushing back her hair. "I know it hurts sweetie, but I need you to tell me what happened."

Quote:
The trail petered out on the road.
'Clever girl,' scowled the huntress. She had refound the blood trail in the woods. It seemed that Rhiannon had managed to change for a while, had leapt from the road into the woods but had soon changed back. The woman found a tuft of fur, and then carried on following the crimson trail.

Sayuri nodded, her mouth set in a line and her skin pale as pale could be but she cleaned the wound, feeling as she was being stabbed in the heart as Rhiannon winced at the pain.
'I'm sorry baby,' she whispered.
'Its not your fault Mamma,' Rhiannon said. She looked at David.
'I was with Cyrus - a person..' she shut her eyes, carrying on talking.
'Came through the Cafe window. Shot at me..' she breathed hard for a bit and then calmed again.
'Chased me. I fell. Caught me. Someone - a guy tried to help. I struggled to escape. Stabbed - with a silvery blade.'
Sayuri had placed the cloth in the water again, her eyes like stone and her hands balled so tightly into fists that her nails cut into her palms.
'I'll kill them,' she said, this small woman in an apron, her face dusted with tear streaked flour. Someone had hurt her child - she wanted their blood, and she made to stand.

David Wolfenbrother
David's eyes turned a darker shade of green, fading to almost black as he dug in the chest again, pulling out a firstaid kit, digging out needle and thread. "I'm sorry sweetie, but this is going to hurt a bit more, and if i know werewolf hunters, your going to be sick for a while. Most likely they used a silver plated knife, so you've got little bits of silver in you know, and your blood feels like its on fire, hmmm?" He gently placed his hands over the cut, looking at it. "hmmmm. Shallow cut, but messy. We need to get you stitched up before the hunter tracks you here." He looks to Sayuri. "Love, go bar the front door please? I don't want a suprise sneaking into the house."

Quote:
The huntress broke through the tree line, not so much following the trail but other tracks now. She knew the girl wouldnt have come out here injured as she was unless there was a place to flee to. She grinned triumphantly as she found the path leading up to Davids house. She clambered up a nearby tree, seated herself in a lower branch and staked out the house, her eyes moving over the building and its surroundings.

'Everything hurts,' Rhiannon whimpered. Her temperature had risen slightly and her face was flushed. Sayuri bit the back of her hand, rising and going to do as David asked, locking the doors tightly and pushing furniture against them. The returned to Rhiannon's side as swiftly as she could, holding her daughters hand as David administered to her.

David Wolfenbrother
David finished up stitching the wound, putting a piece of gauze over the wound and bandaging it up before checking Rhiannon's temperature, digging back into the chest, digging for something, coming up with a flask of water that was sweating in the air, its contents nice and cool. He pressed it into Rhiannon's hands. "Here sweetie, hold this to your forehead. Daddy's got to go check on things." He stood up after kissing her forehead, kissing Sayuri gently. "I need to get some things down here incase someone manages to break in. Whoever they are, they are sure to have tracked her here." He rushed upstairs, making sure the path up to the clifftop was sealed and warded with magic before ducking into his armory, collecting a small chest, and a sack before heading back downstairs.

Quote:
The huntress was already closer to the house - in fact inside the boundaries of David's magic. She kept low, out of the view of the windows and debated where to enter. She had already found the pool of blood where Rhiannon had collapsed and she snickered. David was near - she just knew he was inside the house trying to save his disgusting tainted child.

Sayuri stayed with Rhiannon, fetching a bowl when she said she felt ill and holding it whilst her daughter was sick. She helped her lay back down, removed the bowl and emptied and cleaned it briefly, before returning to Rhiannon's side. She soaked a flannel in icy water, laying it on Rhiannon's forehead;
'Its my fault,' Rhiannon said suddenly.
'I am bad, bad.' she muttered, her eyes shut. Sayuri realised her poor baby was delirious and let her carry on talking, just stroking her hair and holding her hand.
'Bad - unclean thing. Shouldnt...shouldnt have kissed..' Sayuri blinked. What was that about? Something to do with when Rhiannon had snuck out so many times. It didnt matter right now though and she waited for David to return.

David Wolfenbrother
David walked back into the room just to hear the last part, and his head snapped up as one of his silent alarms went off. "Someones near. Very near." He walked over to Rhiannon, lifting her. "Follow me. Quickly. I don't know how much time we have." He headed up the stairs, and back into the cliff, doors opening in front of him on there own, as he entered a room covered with cool tiles, a pool of cold, mountain spring water off to one side. Gently lowering rhiannon into the pool, into a seat carved into his side, he strapped her up so she doesn't sink under, before digging in his bag, drawing out some amulets and rings, slipping them on before hugging sayuri gently. "I'm sorry for this love. I just wanted us to live in peace, but it seems that trouble comes looking again."

Quote:
The huntress managed to break into a window at the rear of the house. She had brought along an amulet for penetrating magical barriers and it had done its job long enough for her to slip inside. Sliding quietly across the floor, she managed to make her way into the living room. She once again found blood, and discarded medical items;
'David,' she hissed.
'Where are you hiding?'

Sayuri shook her head;
'I told you - I'm with you through the good and bad times,' she sat down by the pool
'Why have you put her in here? Wont she catch cold? She has lost alot of blood.'

David Wolfenbrother
"She's got silver in her blood stream. I have to get her temperature down, or its likely to raise it to dangerous temperatures." His head snapped up, and he looked to the door as he heard the faint sound of glass breaking. "They got in somehow. Dammit. Who are these people." He growls a little, letting himself shift into his full wereform, crouching so that Sayuri and Rhiannon are behind him. He takes off one of the amulets, handing it back to Sayuri. "Put this on. It will protect you, if they come after you. If the worst happens, know that I love you, and always will."

Quote:
Sayuri nodded, taking the amulet, holding his paw and kissing it;
'Dont say that - you'll come back to us,' she looked at Rhiannon.
'You have to,' she whispered. Rhiannon moaned, her teeth chattering a little as her temperature swung from hot to cold and then back again.

'Come to me David!' the huntress shouted, kicking over a table as she walked through the house.
'Hiding - you always did do that. Come out and face me - freak! Monster,' she spat, smashing a mirror on a wall.

David Wolfenbrother
David brushed the back of his paw over Sayuri's cheek, and lifted Rhiannon out of the water, wrapping her in a blanket after drying her, before heading to the door. "The door will seal after i leave, and only you and I can open it. Don't open it for anyone." Saying that he slunk out into the hallway, looking around, the rings he was wearing winking to life, the weapons carved on each one glowing slightly.

Quote:
Sayuri hugged Rhiannon to her, stroking her hair. Rhiannon's teeth chattered and she mumbled more;
'Should have called her...should have fought the hunter..' she passed out again and Sayuri clutched to her.

The huntress kicked over a chair;
'Your only delaying the inevitable David!' she yelled, slipping the knife from its sheath and holding it in front of her as she walked.

David Wolfenbrother
Growling a little, David walked down the hall towards the hunter. "And what gives you the right to hunt me and mine! What did I ever do to you! Why can i not just live in peace!" He burst through the door to the room the hunter was in, and stopped dead in his tracks, almost stunned. "La, la, larissa? What? HOw? WHY! Why did you attack Rhiannon!"

Quote:
'It had a name?' she said, moving lightly on her feet in readiness for him to attack.
'Your freak offspring needs to be killed - as do you. You are wrong - you shouldnt be allowed to live.' she flipped the crossbow up, firing a bolt at David.

David Wolfenbrother
David dropped to one knee, the bolt flying over his head, and growling, he lept forward to tackle his sister. He didn't know why she was here, but it was obvious that she was not friendly. If only he could capture her or something. Then maybe he could find out what was wrong, how she had gotten here. Maybe the rest of his family was here!

Quote:
Larissa dodged to one side, turning as she did so and aiming a slash at David with the dagger as he went past her.

Rhiannon awoke again, blinking and looking blearily around her;
'Daddy?' she said, then looked up at Sayuri.
'Mum where's Dad?'
Sayuri shook her head;
'He's fine - we're safe. Just rest.'
Rhiannon leaned on her mother, shutting her eyes again.

David Wolfenbrother
Howling in pain as he felt the blade enter his arm, he snapped his arm forward to rip the knife out of her grip, one wing coming around to buffet her in the head, still attempting to subdue her.

Quote:
Sayuri thought she heard David yelling or something and she stiffened, clutching Rhiannon to her who had by now slipped into an uneasy slumber.

David Wolfenbrother
Growling, David barrled forward, punching Larrissa hard in the gut, trying to knock the wind out of her and drop her. "Go Down already! I don't want to have to hurt you!"

Quote:
'But I want to hurt you Brother,' she spat, shoving the loaded bow up and at him.
'You, then your spawn and then your whore wife.' she pushed the bolt tip into him, sneering at him.
'Kiss them all goodbye.'

David Wolfenbrother
As soon as the words left her mouth, David just snapped. He gave a howl of anger, one claw coming down lightning fast to crush the crossbow into flinder as he took a step back. His right hand came across in a backhand to the side of her head, which landed with a sickning crack as she went flying across the room like a rag doll to thud against the wall, slowly sliding down it. And as quickly as it started, it was over. David dropped to his knees, staring at his sister wide eyed.

Sayuri_Nitta
Sayuri kissed Rhiannon's forehead, laying her down gently. She stood, going over to the door which opened for her. She hurried out, and it closed behind her. She couldnt stand idly by whilst David was possibly in grave danger and she ran along, only stopping to snatch up a broom from the cleaning cupboard. It would do if she had to hit someone! She ran into the room and gasped out loud, surveying the destruction.
'God - what ... who?' she looked at the crumpled body by the far wall. She went over to David.
'Who is that??' she stammered, looking at the beaten woman.

David Wolfenbrother
David just kneeled crying, holding the womans hand. She still lived, if barely. He wasn't paying attention to anything else at the moment, not the knife stuck in his arm, or sayuri entering. "Looking up at the skylight, he let the tears pour down his face, and he wispered something in a strange language. As he did, his black wings begain to develop veins of silver, as did his fur. A soft silver glow surrounded the woman, as her wounds slowly started healing to the point where she would live, if just. Then David half collapsed against the wall, panting for breath, tears still on his face.

Quote:
Sayuri watched, clenching the broom handle hard;
'My love - what is going on?' she asked gently, going to his side and wiping away the tears that had fallen.

Larissa opened her eyes, and spoke, blooding running from the corner of her mouth;
'Why...spare me?' she managed, coughing.

David Wolfenbrother
David winced, pulling out the knife, tossing it to one side, far away. "Because your my sister Larrissa. I can't kill you. But I won't let you hurt my family." His eyes got cold again, and he lifted the woman gently. "So I'm going to have to keep you locked somewhere safe until I can talk some sense into you." He kissed Sayuri on the cheek, and headed down the stairs, into the cellar, where there where several rooms carved out of stone, with stone doors that where kept closed by magic. Entering one of the rooms, which looked like a monk's cell, other then the multitude of runes carved on the walls, he set her down on the bed. "Now sleep. I swear to you that I won't kill you, no matter how much you hate me sis. I'll bring you food and water in the morning. You'll heal a bit more over the night, and the pain will fade." With that, he turned, and closed the door, sealing her in the makeshift prison.

Quote:
Larissa scowled, fuming at being locked away. Then she passed out.

Sayuri paced the room, waiting for David to return. She was NOT happy about that - b***h being in the vicinity of her and Rhiannon. Especially as she suspected that David's sister was the one who had hurt her daughter. She righted a chair and sat heavily in it, waiting for him to return.

David Wolfenbrother
David sat down, shifting back to his human form, though his shirt was in tatters, so he took it off. He dropped his head into his hands, shoulders slumping forwards, as if in exaustion. "Why me goddess, why me?" He looked up at Sayuri, tears in his eyes, a sick look in his eyes, as if he was disgusted with what he had done, but at the same time, he knew it had to be done.

Quote:
'David if you hadnt have done it I would have,' she said, her voice cold.
'So that was one of the family that disowned you huh?' she said, softening at his pain. She moved to him, kissing his cheeks, stroking through his hair and then putting her arms around him.
'My David - my love.' she soothed.
'She hurt our baby. She would have killed Rhiannon - and you. You did what you had to do.'

Rhiannon had awoken again, sitting up and looking around her. She felt slightly frightened at being alone in a strange part of the house but looking at that door she realised nothing would be getting through that. She waited for her parents to return.

David Wolfenbrother
David shook his head a little. "I know love, but still, I." He stops and sighs. "It was only my parents that disowned me as far as i knew. I didn't know if my siblings new one way or another. And now Larrissa comes hunting my family." He kneels on the floor, his head resting on Sayuri's lap. "I can't bring myself to kill her. I just can't. And I don't know what to do. We can't let her free, that much is obvious. And if i know hunters, she's working with a group, so more will come. I just wish we could live a peaceful life, but it looks like that won't happen." He stands. "We should check on Rhiannon. If we leave her alone, she will get scared"

Quote:
Sayuri thought before answering;
'I can see that she is as determined as you. So I dont think she will stop trying to kill us either. She has to have such blind hate in her to want to kill her own family.' she stood with him.
'She needs to sleep in her own bed. I know that more might happen still. But I dont want to live in fear all the time. We'll get through this,' she said, following David back down to the safe place.

David Wolfenbrother
David nods, kissing Sayuri as he heads back to where Rhiannon was. "I'm going to strengthen the wards in the morning. And other things as well. But please, neither of you leave the house alone. If something was to happen to either of you, i don't know what I would do."

Quote:
'Well I can say I wont...but Rhiannon has been sneaking out lately and I cant say that she wont do it again,' the door opened, revealing their daughter who had fallen asleep again.
'Will you carry her to her room hun? I need to make the house right - tidy again before I can even think about sleeping tonight.'

David Wolfenbrother
David shook his head. "I don't think she will sneak out after this love. Coming close to death tends to leave a big impression. Trust me, i should know. I've been there before." He lifted Rhiannon, carrying her to her room. "I'm going to stay next to her incase she wakes up again. And I'll make sure to give her a talk when she does about sneaking out. I'm sorry i've been missing so much love." He kissed Sayuri again, smiling a little. "Thank you for putting up with a bone head like me."

Quote:
'I have to put up with you.' she said, managing to joke.
'My butt is too big from having Rhiannon and eating too much homemade food for me to snag another guy now,' she giggled, following David.
'I dont know,' she said, tucking Rhiannon under the sheets of her bed and smoothing the hair from her daughters face.
'She's a teenager. They arent known for their good sense.' she kissed Rhiannon on the head.

David Wolfenbrother
David smiles. "Hun, your butt isn't big. Your still as slim and lovely as the day I met you." He kisses her again. "Well, if she won't stay inside, it means i'll have to send something with her to help protect her." He thinks a moment. "I have a few options. I'll figure something out love. I'm not going to let them win. Never." David blinked a moment. "Damn. We need to warn Sati and Silver. I'm sure they can handle themselves, but we should warn them anyways."

Quote:
'They'll be fine - but telling them would also be a good idea,' she chuckled.
'And your a liar - sweet but a liar,' she hugged him, her eyes flickering to Rhiannon who seemed to be sleeping properly now.

David Wolfenbrother
David slumped down into a chair, dozing as well. He seemed lost in thought, and completely exausted, for now.

Quote:
Sayuri kissed him on the forehead, leaving Rhiannon's room. Rhiannon slept on, her eyes moving under the lids as she dreamed. Sayuri cleaned up the mess in the house, covering up the broken window and finally crawled into bed in the wee hours of the morning. She thanked whoever it was that looked over them for keeping her daughter and David safe this time, and cried herself to sleep, overloaded as she was with emotion and weariness.

Quote:
Rhiannon slowly opened her eyes, wondering for a moment why she was in bed in her clothes. Then as she moved, she sucked a breath in as doing so jogged the wound she had gotten yesterday....was it really only yesterday that had all happened? Her head felt foggy, and she had a raging thirst - and a full bladder. She shifted uncomfortably and pulled back the sheet covering her, slowly turning on the bed and put her feet on the floor. The first time she tried to stand she pretty much collasped back down again. She waited for her head to stop spinning and then stood again, feeling dizzy but it was managable. She shuffled out of her room, limping a little, passing her sleeping father and heading for the bathroom. She came out a little later, relieved and still muzzy headed. Rhiannon came back into her room and fell onto her bed again.
'Owie,' she mumbled into the mattress and turned around, trying to sit up again.

David Wolfenbrother
David mumbled a little, and opened his eyes, quickly scanning the room for danger as his hand went to the knife sheathed at his belt. He relaxed when he saw that it was only his daughter moving around. "Morning sweetie? How are you this morning?"

Quote:
'Fine,' she said, sitting up again finally.
'Well maybe not fine...but I am better then last night. Are you okay Daddy?' she asked, looking at him. She smelt what seemed like blood - not fresh but dried.

David Wolfenbrother
David chuckles. "Yeah, i'm fine. I'm a tough guy. Takes more then a little stab in the arm to put me down." He rolls up his sleeve to show the stab wound which he had bandaged up. "See? All fine. How about you? How's your leg?"

Quote:
'Bloody sore,' she said, swinging her legs around and standing again. She walked around a little, trying to loosen her limbs.
'Who stabbed you? Was it that hunter? I'm sorry I led it home Daddy but I couldnt stop to bind my leg. I was frightened the hunter would catch me,' she sniffled.

David Wolfenbrother
David stood, pulling Rhiannon into a hug. "Na, you did the right thing sweetie. I'm just glad you made it home okay. As for who the hunter is, that is a difficult story, and one that I would really rather not go into right now, not until I know more. But for now, promise me you won't sneak out alone anymore? Hunter's usually work in groups, meaning there are still others out there that know about you."

Quote:
She pulled a face;
'Why cant I go out? I have to see Cyrus..and,' and some other people she mentally added.
'What do you mean 'a difficult story'? You know who it was dont you? Why cant you tell me? I want to hurt them,' she growled.

David Wolfenbrother
"Even if i told you the woman was your aunt, my sister?" David thumped back down into the chair, sighing, staring off into space. "I'm not asking you to stay cooped up in the house at all times, just to always be with someone or something that can protect you. I suppose that means i'll have to find a guardian spirit or something for you." He makes a face at Rhiannon. "So, what was that i heard last night about "I shouldn't have kissed her?" David put on his poker face, not letting anything slip.

Quote:
'Your aunt!' she sat down heavily on the bed, rubbing her head.
'But - she's family,' she said in a small hurt voice.
'Why would she do that?' she looked at David.
'I'm not staying in doors,' she stated.
'I'm not cowering in here like I'm too afraid,' she defiantly, then ducked her head.
'I dont know what you are talking about,' she said, sitting up again, her cheeks crimson.

David Wolfenbrother
"No, your aunt, my sister. As to why, i'm not sure yet. I"m still doing some research. And i'm just asking you to try and play it safe, or are you looking for another knife wound?" He chuckles a little, touching her cheek. "Oh, i think you do know what i'm talking about. Your blushing little wolf, and I can hear your heart raising. So spill the beans."

Quote:
''Thats what I meant - you know that. I did get stabbed with silver,'' she said, poking her tongue out at him.
''No I dont think I want to be stabbed again,'' she said.
''I''m not saying I want to be. I''m saying I dont want to be stuck here.'' she frowned.
''Daddy what do you want me to say? Cant I have privacy? I dont ask about what you and Mum get up to after all.''

David Wolfenbrother
"Ah, but then again, I don''t act guilty about what I do with your mother. So if you don''t want to tell me you don''t have to, but i just worry about you hun. Do I need to start buying you things to embarass you?" He taps a foot, looking almost amused. "Oh, and bring them by the house sometime so we can meet them, whoever they are." With that, David walks out of the room, wistling a little, a plan forming in his mind as he headed up towards the cliff to check on the wardings he had started, and on some other things.

Quote:
''Yeah but Mum is a girl,'' she whispered.
''And your a guy.'' she sighed, getting up and leaving her room. She headed into the lounge and sat down again. Sayuri bustled in, a bowl of soup made up, and a soda on a tray.
''Thanks Mum,'' Rhiannon said gratefully. Sayuri sat down next to her as Rhiannon ate and drank.

David Wolfenbrother
About 30 minutes later, David came back down stairs, with a large black raven sitting on his shoulder, peering around, and sporting a black eye. He sat down in a chair as the raven took wing, gliding over to Rhiannon to sit on her shoulder, cawing light. "Well, it seems Ariel likes you well enough. I''ve managed to sweet talk her into staying close to you so she can come get me if your in trouble."

Quote:
''I have to go around with a bird?'' she asked incredulously. She looked at it from the corner of her eyes, hoping it wouldnt poop down her back.
''Daddy,'' she protested.
''Are you sure about this?''

David Wolfenbrother
"Yes i''m sure, and even if you try to leave her behind, Ariel will follow you. She''s a very strong willed bird. I should know. She likes to boss me around sometimes." He gives a smile, and Ariel just gave a caw, and nodded her head, fluffing up her feathers a little, as if showing she was the big boss of everyone.

Quote:
Oh great, she thought. The bird wasnt bad to look at - and being black she would go with most of the clothes Rhiannon owned. Sayuri got up again, saying something about doing laundry.
''Why would you let a bird boss you around?'' she asked, poking her tongue out at her father.

David Wolfenbrother
"Cause usually she only pokes her beak in when i''m doing something stupid. So if she starts throwing a hissy fit, i''ve learned to listen for trouble coming." He smiles, and streaches. "I''m gonna go take a nap. You have fun and rest up so you heal Rhiannon. Talk to you later hun."

Quote:
Rhiannon nodded;
''Yeah I''m going to take a nap myself,'' she said. She shooed Ariel off her shoulder, and looked around furtively. She stood up, went to her room and gingerly changed her clothes, wincing everytime her leg moved. She put on a long, charcoal grey skirt rather then trousers so as not to scrape her stitches and donned a print t-shirt. She felt wobbly still but she really had to go out. Well thats how she felt anyway. She snuck out of the house and ran down the path leading onto the road. And swore as Ariel cawed at her from a tree above.
''Fine!'' she said, looking up at her.
''You can come but dont get in the way!'' and she walked slowly down the road towards Sati''s house.

Rhiannon spent the night at Sati's place after visiting the clinic. She just didnt feel safe at home for some reason, and she knew that it was unlikely that any hunter would know about here as her mother had moved into David's place before she had Rhiannon. She sat up on the sofa-bed and flicked back the blanket Sati had leant her. She winced, she wasnt as sore as the previous day but sore enough. Listening intently she could hear neither Sati, nor Silver, or that damnable bird. She slid over to where their 'phone was on a small coffee table, pulled out a piece of paper and dialed.
'Hi its Rhiannon...I dont know if you rem..' she said when the phone was answered.
'You do - I need to see you. Can I come over?' she listened.
'I'm coming over now.' Rhiannon put the receiver down as Sati walked in.
'Sati can you send me into town again please?' Rhiannon asked. Sati nodded.
'Promise me you'll stay in a crowded place though.' she said. Rhiannon nodded.
'You'll have to take that bird with you too.'
Rhiannon rolled her eyes;
'Yeah I know.'
Almost as if called, the raven landed on Rhi's shoulder. Sati held out two hands and Rhiannon grasped them. Sati closed her eyes - sending someone a fair distance was something new she had been practising; mostly with inaminate objects but she had sent Rhiannon to the clinic the previous day with no problems. She breathed deeply, visualising Rhiannon in Barton, and Rhiannon slowly faded from sight.

Rhiannon looked around the alley she had been sent to and hurried out into the busy streets. She could hear Ariel's cawing somewhere and knew the bird would follow her so she didnt stop to wait. She walked as fast as her injuries would let her, going through Barton and heading for Gambino. Once there she headed for the address, buzzing the button at the front door and being let in. Her heart was pretty much thumping away with her nerves and she knocked on the apartment door;
'Hi,' Kate said, as she let Rhiannon in. She led Rhi into the living room and sat down. Rhiannon perched on the opposite end of the sofa, arranging her skirt so that her dressing wasnt showing.
'Last time you were here it was kisses, and now you cant even sit next to me?' Kate said.
'I didnt think you were going to call either.'
'I didnt think I would either,' said Rhiannon quietly.
'But stuff has happened since I last saw you. I needed to see you.' Kate stood and sat next to Rhiannon, putting an arm around the girl. Rhi stiffened at first and then leant on her shoulder. Kate's fingers tugged through her hair, and she cried a little.
'What happened?' Kate asked when Rhiannon's tears had slowed some. She tilted her face up to her and wiped the salty tracks from Rhiannon's cheeks.
'Tell me?' she asked, planting a kiss on her mouth. Rhiannon kissed her back for a moment, feeling a tumult of different emotions, but mostly comforted and safe for the first time since being attacked. Kate slid a hand between the flap of Rhiannons skirt, tracing her fingers lightly up her thigh. She stopped at the dressing and pulled away, opening the skirt and looking properly;
'What happened Rhiannon?' she asked again, serious this time. Rhiannon shook her head and tried to pull Kate towards her again but she was shaken off.
'No - tell me what happened - please?'
Rhiannon looked away.
'I was attacked. Because of what I am.' she said, her voice shaky.
'And I didnt tell you what I was before because I was...well drunk, and everything was really new, and I didnt know if I ever would see you again, and..'
Kate placed a single finger on Rhiannon's lips.
'I know what you are,' Kate said. Rhiannon's eyes widened and she was dumbstruck.
'I thought you could tell what I was as well..' she went on, closing her eyes. Her form shimmered a little and two wolven ears grew out of her short hair.
'Oh..oh!' exclaimed Rhiannon.
'You- your a..!'
Kate nodded.
'I'm exactly like you. Every full moon I change. As you do. I smelt you as soon in the club before I saw you. Thats really why I came over,' she whispered, her fingers stroking Rhiannon's thigh again. Rhiannon was still a little in shock and merely nodded.
'You were intoxicating...so full of life..one like me and very beautiful.'
Rhiannon squirmed on the seat.
'I'm not beautiful,' she mumbled, one of her hands moving as though with a mind of its own. She put her hand on Kate's leg.
'You are,' Kate insisted, pulling her closer. She wound a leg around one of Rhiannon's, running a hand down her back and kissing along her neck. The hand on Rhiannon's thigh moved higher, and under the skirt. Rhiannon panicked then, grabbing Kate's wrist and pulling away.
'No..' she stammered, her cheeks flushed.
'I'm not...this is not..' she stood, pushing past Kate and fled from the apartment. Stopping on the stairwell about halfways down she hit the wall - hard, leaving a tiny dent and then left the apartment building.

Rhiannon had shut herself in her room on her return from Kate''s apartment, only emerging to eat or use the bathroom. On the third day she decided that it was time for her talk to her mother about...stuff. She dragged herself out of bed, dressed and went downstairs.
''Good morning sweetie,'' Sayuri said as Rhiannon entered the kitchen.
'' ''morning,'' she mumbled, sitting down at the table. She poured juice into a glass from the jug on the table and Sayuri put a plate in front of her with buttered toast on it. Rhiannon nibbled on a piece as Sayuri sat down.
''So you gonna tell me whats up?'' her mother said, looking at her over her own glass of juice. Rhiannon tore strips off her toast piece and shrugged.
''Is it your cut? Is it still hurting?''
Rhiannon shook her head.
''C''mon honey you gotta give your old mum something to work with,'' pleaded Sayuri, putting the glass down and leaning on the table. Rhiannon smiled a little at that and put the shredded toast piece down.
''I met someone,'' she started. A little light clicked on in Sayuri''s head...now that she thought about it Rhiannon''s behaviour was a little ''there''s a guy involved''.
''And we kissed...''
''And does this someone have a name?'' Sayuri asked gently. Rhiannon nodded.
''Her name is Kate.'' Rhiannon whispered.
''Umm.. did you say ''her'' name?'' Sayuri said after a long moment of opening and shutting her mouth like a fish gasping for air. Rhiannon nodded;
''Yes - I kissed a girl Mum,'' she looked at Sayuri.
''Please...dont hate me okay?''
Sayuri shook her head.
''Lord no Rhiannon - I dont hate you for kissing a girl! I want you to be happy. Whoever its with. Does she make you happy?'' she asked tentatively. Rhiannon shrugged a little;
''I dont know. I feel - safe when I''m with her. And when she kisses me I feel. Weird.'' she tugged on her hair.
''Is it okay for me to talk about...stuff with you?'' she asked Sayuri.
''I guess you mean sex stuff right?''
Rhiannon nodded at the question.
''Have you..done anything like that - with anyone?'' she asked. Rhiannon shook her head.
''Just kissed. And she...touched me on the leg. It made me feel - strange. But a good strange.''
Sayuri nodded;
''What you are feeling is normal. Its sexual attraction...desire. Basically it means your body is responding in a favourable way to what ''Kate'' was doing with you. You are of an age when you will feel like this after all.''
Rhiannon squirmed in her seat, her cheeks crimson.
''I want you to remember that whether you are with a girl or a guy that you should only do what you are ready to do. If it doesnt feel right or you are uncomfortable with where things are leading say ''no''. Its your body and only you have the right to say what you want to happen to it. Anyone that really cares for you will respect that. And if they dont - then they arent worth worrying about.''
Rhiannon nodded.
''I understand Mum,'' she said.
''Kate isnt like that. I kinda pushed her away when we were...umm touching and she didnt try and force me.''
Sayuri smiled;
''Can we meet her?'' she asked. As strange as this was, she wanted to be involved in her daughters life. And well, love was love after all. Not that Rhiannon was saying that it had gotten that far yet.
''Maybe,'' she said, standing.
''Can I go to hers? I need to apologise for running out.''
Sayuri nodded.
''Be careful okay?'' Sayuri went over and hugged her daughter. Rhiannon ran off to her room, changing quickly into a long skirt and a low-cut top. She ran back downstairs and pushed a piece of paper into Sayuri''s hand before she left, telling her mother that it was Kate''s phone number before she left the house. Sayuri sat down, staring at the paper, still shocked - a little bemused, but happy that her daughter had found someone. Even if it wasnt a someone she had expected. Now all she would have to do is tell David!

Quote:
Kate hadnt been at home when Rhiannon called around, and neither had she been answering her 'phone. Well not when Rhiannon called at any rate. She swung her legs, looking down at the ground from her perch up a gnarled old oak tree. When she had come home from the fruitless trip to Kate's, her mother had pounced on her and given the full sex talk. With leaflets, magazines, and even condom demonstrations - on a cucumber! Rhiannon blushed at the very thought. Her mum had talked about pretty much everything - she knew all the practical stuff, how she should wait until she was ready, about other contraceptions forms and everything until her head was a whirl with facts.
'Rhiannon?' came the voice from almost nowhere. Rhi slid from the branch in-elegantly, stumbling as she saw who it was.
'K..kate?' she ventured.
'Uh huh. Your mother is nice by the way.' the girl grinned.
'She directed me out here. Said you were probably moping up a tree...like a monkey.' Kate laughed, clearly amused.
'She was right.'
Rhiannon blushed, kicking at the grass.
'I tried to call you..and I even came round,' she said, looking at her friend from the corner of her eyes as she strolled around the tree.
'Yeah - sorry. Work hasnt been the best lately.'
Rhiannon raised an eyebrow.
'You work - even though..you're a werewolf?'
'Yes. I work for special people. People who are similar to me.' she explained, leaning against the tree that Rhiannon was wandering around.
'So are you going to stop avoiding looking at me? You know there isnt anything to worry about.' she said, aluding to when Rhiannon ran out.
'I was...swept up in the moment and rushed you. I forgot that it was probably the first time..anyone had touched you like that.'
Rhiannon nodded, finally looking at Kate as she stopped in front of her.
'I - liked the feeling though,' she admitted, biting her lip. Kate reached out and brushed the hair from Rhi's cheek. Rhiannon closed her eyes, turning her face so that the hand brushed her skin and smiled.
'I like you,' she said simply, opening her eyes and Kate pulled her into a hug, her hands gently running down Rhiannon's back as they kissed. Kate gently pulled Rhiannon into a sitting position at the base of the tree, and Rhi let her, staying in the girls arms and kissing, feeling warm and safe. She pulled away a moment later, and giggled.
'If my father came along,' she said.
'I'd say hello to him,' grinned Kate, running her fingers through Rhiannon's hair. Rhi snuggled against her friend and laid her head in the crook of her neck. Kate kissed the top of her head, and they sat quietly for a long time, listening to the woodland sounds.

David Wolfenbrother
Humming, David walked out of the woods, wolf ears and tail showing, and stopped as he saw the two girls, smiling a little. Hmmm. Seems his informant had been right. Hands in pockets, he started towards the two girls. "So, you would be Kate I presume? I'm David, Rhiannon's father."

Quote:
Rhiannon leapt to her feet, her face so red it was suprising that she hadnt fainted with the rush of blood;
'D-dad,' she mumbled.
'W-what are you doing out here?'
'Kate stood up more leisurely, and nodded.
'Its good to meet you.' she said, sniffing the air gently as she registered his scent.

David Wolfenbrother
"Nice to meet you as well." He chuckled, looking at Rhiannon. "Oh, I was just checking some of the new wards I had set up since you brought that uninvited guest home last time. Figure a little more protection won't hurt a bit." He chuckled again, streaching. "Kate, why don't you stick around for lunch? That'll give me time to dig out all the embarassing stories and photo's" He chuckles, winking at Kate to show he's joking before wandering off towards the house, giving a wave. "You two kids have fun, and don't do anything I wouldn't do."

As David wandered off, Ariel flew up, landing on the tree, Cawing a little, and giving a sound that sounded suspiciously like a chuckle.

Quote:
She spluttered indignantly as David walked away;
'Yeah like I asked to be attacked by your sister,' she muttered sullenly. Kate put a hand on her shoulder.
'You ok?' she asked.
'I'm fine,' Rhiannon replied, looking at Kate.
'Well not great. But I dunno...how did he even know about you? I dont think my mum would have said anything so soon. I mean its not like I didnt completely throw her for a loop when I told her...' her voice trailed off, and she blushed.
'Well you know.'
'Well come on then. I want to see those pictures your dad was talking about,' Kate teased as she jogged off towards the house. Rhiannon yelled after her;
'There arent aannnny!' she ran after Kate, catching up with her at the house. She let them in through the kitchen door, and they waved at Sayuri who was fixing lunch.
'Ready in half an hour or so,' she said, as they passed through.
'C'mon - we can go to my room,' Rhiannon said, grabbing Kate's arm and tugging her in that direction. Once in there, they both flopped on the bed.
'Your parents are nice you know.' Kate said, grinning.
'Suuure,' Rhiannon said, poking her tongue out. Kate laughed and slid up to sit next to Rhiannon, leaning against the wall as she was.
'They arent so bad.'
Rhiannon shrugged, and lay her head on Kate's lap.
'I guess,' she said, shutting her eyes as her friend stroked her hair. The action was soothing and Rhi found her eyes shutting.
'Can't sleep,' chuckled Kate.
'Your Mum will call us soon.' and she stroked Rhi's cheek.
'Bah..' mumbled Rhiannon, and she wriggled a little.
'Not moving!'

David Wolfenbrother
David snuck up behind Sayuri, holding her close. "Hey there beautiful. So what do you think of Kate?" Kissing her neck, he smiles a little. Eyes closed, he rested his head on her shoulder.

Quote:
Sayuri chuckled as she waved the bread knife.
'She seems ok. And she isnt a guy so you cant attack her with a sword either,' she grinned, putting slices of buttered, white crusty bread into a bowl. She patted him awkwardly.
'Limpet-man,' she teased.
'Why? What do you think of her?'

David Wolfenbrother
"Awww. I can't?" He chuckles, sweeping Sayuri off her feet, kissing her. "She seems nice enough. I don't know if Rhiannon's told you, but Kate is also a werewolf." He chuckles, kissing Sayuri again. Carrying her into the living room, setting her on the couch before going back for the trays of food.

Quote:
'She didnt say. I think she realised she had offloaded enough head-spinning information on me for one day,' she chuckled, batting at him as he carried her.
'Gonna get Kate and Rhi down for lunch?' she called after David.

Kate poked Rhi lightly;
'You asleep?'
Yes I am asleep,' Rhi deadpanned, opening her eyes and grabbing the finger Kate was poking her with.
'So very mean,' she pouted and started to tickle Kate's sides. Her friend shrieked and giggled.
'Grah!' she play-growled, managing to escape Rhiannon and pinned her down instead. She kissed her on the end of her nose. Rhiannon blushed, as Kate kissed her on the lips. She pulled away.
'I think I'll call you little-beet from now on,' Kate teased.
'Bah..' Rhiannon pouted and hooked her arms around Kate's neck.
'So very mean..' she whispered, pulling Kate back into an embrace again.

David Wolfenbrother
David chuckles, heading upstairs to Rhiannon's room, knocking on the door. "Girls! Time for lunch. Time to get decent!" He chuckles, waiting next to the door for the girls to come out, leading them to the living room when they finally do.

Quote:
'Daaad!' Rhiannon shouted, almost deafening Kate. They both giggled and Kate got up, helping Rhiannon off the bed. They walked out of Rhi's room, poking their tongues out at each other and giggling behind David's back.
'I hope you two are hungry,' Sayuri said, as she gave out plates. Rhiannon scooped up pasta, pieces of chicken and some bread, and poured Kate a drink. Sayuri ate her own food, nudging David a little when Kate popped a piece of chicken in Rhiannon's mouth. Sayuri grinned.

David Wolfenbrother
David smiled a little at Sayuri, eating his own food slowly, watching the two girls. "So Kate, how did the two of you meet? Just curious mind you." He continued to eat, at the same time going over things in his mind, trying to think of any questions he had for the girl, at the same time smelling her scent in the air, imprinting it into his memory.

Quote:
Rhi gave a little nod, letting Kate know it was ok to tell them when the girl looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
'We met at my local club. This little cutey was all on her lonesome,' she grinned. Rhiannon thwapped her on the arm. Rhiannon bared her canines in a mock growl and Kate giggled.
'Aww - so cute,' teased Sayuri.
'Mo-ther!' Rhiannon squealed. They were all out to embarrass her!

David Wolfenbrother
David just chuckled. "Well, your mother is right Rhi. So a club hmm? Glad your getting out and having fun at least. So you live on your own Kate? Must be a bit lonely." He set down his plate, picking up his glass of juice, sipping at it, staring at it, lost a bit in thought.

Quote:
'Yeah well..you know how it is when we are what we are,' she stared at David a moment, a strange tone in her voice. Rhiannon tilted her head. Did Kate have no family? She reached out and patted her on the knee, feeling like the child again a little as Kate was a few years older then she. Kate smile softly.
'I'm okay Rhiannon. I just envy family life. Yours is nice. I miss that.'

David Wolfenbrother
David nods a little. "Yeah, I know that all to well. I take it your parents weren't were's then. Yeah, its hard being without a family, but well, you just build your own little family, ya know?" David smiles, putting one arm around sayuri, hugging her gently.

Quote:
'My parents were killed by hunters.' Kate said softly.
'I never knew them. I was taken to an orphanage. I was found by a group of special people like ourselves. They took me in, looked after me and set me up with a job and a place to live.'
'I'm so sorry,' whispered Rhiannon.
'Don't be. I might not have my birth family but I have people who I can rely on.' she smiled, touching Rhi's cheek. Rhiannon squirmed, blushing and grabbing Kate's hand.
'Little-beet,' Kate teased.

David Wolfenbrother
David gave a little smile, and leaned back. "Thankfully Gaia is mostly clean of hunters. Plus there are laws against what they do here. Its not like that on all worlds." He closed his eyes, thinking back to his homeworld, and wandering how his sister had found her way here. "Anyways, who wants some apple pie? Freshly baked this morning!"

Quote:
Rhi nodded;
'Apple pie for me please,' she grinned. Kate nodded also.
'Sure. Sounds nice.'
Sayuri rose and gathered plates, taking them into the kitchen. Whilst her parents were fetching dessert Rhi shuffled over and hugged Kate, nuzzling against her cheek.
'Whats that for?' asked Kate, chuckling.
'Just because,' Rhiannon said softly.

David Wolfenbrother
Peeking out from the kitchen, David gave a little shout. "Either of you want Vanilla Ice Cream with your Pie?" Waiting for an answer, he went back to slicing the pie, humming a little tune as he did so. Moving over to the cabniet, he got out four bowls, and spoons, and got the ice cream out of the freezer, stopping to kiss Sayuri as he passed her.

Quote:
Sayuri chuckled, turning and slapping David playfully on his butt.
'Rhiannon seems to like Kate alot,' she commented, as she rinsed off plates and stacked them to be washed later.

Rhiannon coloured, pulling away from the lip-lock she and Kate had gotten into;
'We'll both have some please,' she yelled back as Kate nodded, grinning.

David Wolfenbrother
David chuckled, returning the slap. and nodded. "That she does. And Kate seems like a nice enough young woman." He chuckled, dishing out the pie and ice cream, carrying the bowls into the living room again on a tray. "Here you ladies go. Homemade apple pie, and Ice Cream." He chuckled, sitting down and taking a bite of his pie, smiling. "Mmmmm. Been a while since I cooked apple pie. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of work do you do Kate?"

Quote:
Rhiannon and Kate had seperated again, and were seated on the couch now. They took a bowl each and ate, Rhiannon listening as Kate talked;
'I run the office during the day of our little organisation. Speaking to people when they come in. We have cases, finding people like us that have gone missing. Helping them to cope with who they are, and to be as normal as possible.' she wiped icecream from the corner of her mouth, and sucked it off her finger.

David Wolfenbrother
"During the day, hmmm? Have a seperate night job I take it? Oh, and could you introduce me to some of the people in your Group? I could help out some I think. I used to do similar, back where I"m from." He smiled a little, finishing off his pie, sighing in contentment.

Quote:
She shook her head.
'The night time is our own. Those of us that are werewolves anyway. Especially during the full moon when its a necessity for us to be away from public areas.' she sat back, wrapping an arm around Rhiannon who hesitated a moment before relaxing against Kate.
'We all know how to control who we are but it only takes one slip-up amongst a crowd and then ... well public hysteria and witch-hunts helps no one.'
She nodded at David;
'We'd appreciate that.'

Sayuri chuckled inwardly; it was still alot for her to digest - the whole same-sex thing, but Rhiannon seemed happy which was the most important thing to her.

David Wolfenbrother
"Oh, there are some places you can be yourself, long as you can control your emotions. My son Silver's club for one. I know a few other places I could introduce you too." He chuckles a little. "Gaia's a lot more forgiving and open then most places i've lived. I'm glad I finally ended up here, to meet this beautiful woman. And be blessed with a wonderful daughter. Hmmm. About those pictures..."

Quote:
'A club huh?' Kate perked up at that idea.
'We are always looking for a non-human place to let our hair down. If you could let me know where it is, me and my friends would really appreciate it,' she smiled.
'Dad dont you dare!' squealed Rhiannon.

Sayuri socked David on the arm.
'Behave,' she said, laughing and gathering up the now empty bowls to take into the kitchen.

David Wolfenbrother
David chuckled, rubbing his arm. "Owww. Oh fine. I'll save the pictures for the next visit. Gimmie a moment and I'll get you one of the flyers silver left here with me." Standing up, he headed back into his work area, digging around a bit before coming back with a stack of flyers. "Here ya go. Its in the older part of barton, and only non-humans can get in."

Quote:
'Sounds good,' she replied, standing and taking it from him.
'Well I think I've probably out stayed my welcome now.' she said, glancing at her watch.
'Time I made my way home.'
Rhiannon pouted a little, and Sayuri came back into the living room.
'I think its for the best at this time,' her mother said.
'See Kate out. It was good to meet you anyway,' Sayuri smiled.
'Thanks for having me. And the dinner. And it was good to meet you too.'

David Wolfenbrother
"Nice meeting you Kate. Feel free to stop by anytime." He stood, shooking Kate's hand and smiling. "Just try and keep my daughter smiling, okay? She tends to get gloomy sometimes." He chuckles, and moves back to Sayuri, pulling her into a one armed hug.

Quote:
Sayuri tactfully steered David back into the living room. Rhiannon walked with Kate to the door;
'I wish you didnt have to go,' she blurted out as they were standing in the doorway.
'Well I have to respect your parents wishes. They love you, and want to protect you.' Kate pulled Rhiannon into a hug, cuddling her younger friend. She twined her fingers into Rhi's hair.
'I know. Its just. I like being with you. It feels nice.' Rhiannon snuggled against Kate.
'I like being with you too. But we have plenty of time to be together. I'm not going anywhere.' Kate sucked in a tiny breath as Rhiannon's wandering hand had slipped under her shirt. The girl had gotten bolder, she smiled inwardly.
'I really wont want to go anywhere if you carry on doing that,' she chuckled and Rhiannon giggled.
'Soft,' she mumbled, kissing her friend and letting her hand wander some more. Kate pulled the hand away, kissing Rhiannon's fingers.
'I better go,' she said softly, pulling Rhi into a long, lingering kiss and letting her own fingers do some walking. They pulled away and Rhiannon watched Kate walk down the path, before shutting the door. She leant against it, fanning her face and trying to compose herself before walking into the living room again.
