Hurrah for meeting people whose personality didn't fit their outward appearance...and thus far Zach seemed to be utterly the opposite of the persona he projected, which was fine with Jaden...this was a good surprise...not like Nathaniel...who appeared to have some deepseated problems...somewhere.
Odd-eyed gaze then slid to Elijah...now there was a fellow whose looks seemed to match up with personality to utter perfection.
Oh right! The conversation...
"I've had more than my share of akward moments, I think..." With a sheepish sort of smile he tilted his head, eyes flickering between the other two boys. "And yeah...I'd...never seen an elf before now...but I can't wait to talk to them...it's just...I don't think I have the courage..." He looked thoughtful a moment. "I wonder if they could give me some pointers on how to improve my elven..."

Zach blinked at that. "Elven..? You mean you actually know elven? Uhm. Like, you can speak it?" Er ... well, that sounded real smooth, now didn't it. He flushed a little but tried to ignore it, looking back toward the group of elves. "Maybe ... if we sort of all went over there together?"
He looked over at Elijah then, wondering what the other boy thought of all this.

Elijah was rather impressed as well and intrigued he couldn't help but oggle the idea and ask away as well. "How did you learn it? That must be a beautiful language to learn, but I bet it was difficult too. But he agreed with what Zach had to say and having already met once elf, he was a little more confident about going up and speaking with them. "I think that would be a good idea," he voiced, not really knowing how to explain his reason for believing this.

He actually flushed some as well, embarassed that he'd been able to so easily impress, when that wasn't what he'd set out to do at all. "Uh...it wasn't that hard." Jaden waved his hands dismissively. "I'm just a geek and happen to like that sort of stuff...and if you know where to study it's just a matter of time." With an over-serious sort of nod, he made a grand attempt to swallow the lump of nervousness in his throat.
"And indeed...I think we should go...I wouldn't feel so out of place if you guys were coming with me." Twiddling his thumbs, it was clear he was still uneasy...but he would have to do it sooner or later, of that much he was sure.

Zach nodded at that, following Jaden's gaze. He thought about asking the other to maybe teach him elven sometime, but not at the moment. Unless ... maybe it was a class offered here? Ooh, that would be cool. He'd just have to get Jaden to take it with him so he'd have an advantage, maybe? Or a study partner. Something like that.
"Well ... what are we waiting for, then?" he asked, with a bit of false bravado ... and just started walking toward the small group of elves.

Elijah listened without comment to the pair, not sure what he could add that wasn't already obvious. Still, it was quite an accomplishment for Jaden to have mastered the language before making it to the school, especially when he had never met an elf before. It interested Elijah and he wondered how the rest of the student body was going to learn this eloquent language. Certainly there was a class.
Gathering all the bravery he could muster up, he followed after Zach who seemed to start this little expedition. Gaining a little bit of confidence with each stride, he managed to perk up and walk a little more eagerly. "What do we say when we get there?" he asked, glancing to Jaden. "Are there any formal ways of introducing someone in elvish?"

From where he was across the room, Dante raised an eyebrow as two of the children began talking.
Elven? A Human, that knew Elven?...he wasn't sure if that was possible. Most of the Humans, Javelin and Greg included, had attempted to quote something completely unintelligible at him they claimed was Elvish. He'd told Irame later and she had nearly died laughing.
Still...his motto was that there were exceptions to every rule...
Clearing his throat, he stepped up to the two boys. "Indeed. Care to demonstrate?"

Shinji ((as I preferr to call him that way)) sighed as the outraged and heartbroken dear advisor Herei ran after his lost and beloved fan. Lighting up another cigarette, the white haired shaman quietly observed his surroundings. It was interesting to see how Dante and Irame was the center of attention (Dante being the more popular one). Humans...they are a bunch of curious animals. Some of these boys reminded of him back when he was young. Their excitement over magic...of course, for him, the magic exsisted, and he knew about it all along.
Which was perhaps the reason why these boys seemed even more excited than he was. Not to mention that they lived in a life of comfort.
Shinji watched as Dante walked over to the boys. Hmph. Admit it, Dante. Despite how much you claim to despite attention and love quiet space, you are craving for more attention.
...People are hypocritical creatures. Even elves.

He'd been about to respond about the time that Dante came up...and his astonishment at being spoken to was quite obviously apparent on his features. But he recovered in but a second, bowing at the waist, he spoke quickly.
"Ah! Suilad, sen pen gelir o govannen lle...." A pause, and his smile was sheepish as the boy straightened. "Dihena-nin, U-istui falathren-nin." Odd-colored eyes were just a little wide as he observed Dante. Yes...this was an elf, and he couldn't help but be awed...surprised he could even remember his elven at all in the presence of such a being.
(( XD Is Sindarin. Loose translation being:: "Oh! Greetings, this one (is) pleased to meet you...I'm sorry, my language is rough." (or unlearned, he's saying he's an amateur, a student in it, not a master of it.) ))

(( X333 Elven yeys ))
Zach sort of stared as one of the elves suddenly seemed to notice them and came over to challenge? Jaden. He knew it was sort of rude to stare but ...
And then Jaden promptly started talking in what he could only assume was Elven, and awed gaze transferred to the other boy. Ok yea ... mental note to get Jaden to teach him that, at some point.

Irame blinked in surprise and turned towards where she had though that she had heard someone speaking Elven. It hadn’t been Dante though, nor any of the other staff that had managed to learn a bit of the language. She was rather surprised to find Dante talking to a group of students. She was even more surprised to find that she had to ammend that. The voice that she had heard was one of the students talking to Dante in Elven.
‘Well this is interesting…’ She thought. She hadn’t been talking to anyone so she quietly slipped over to the group and smiled as she came up to them.
“Mae govannen, aienea, toren.” she said bowing her head to the students and then to Dante as she spoke them. She looked at the one that had spoke and smiled at him. “Ai le ume quel, pen neth. That was well the best that I have heard anyone ever speak Elven without talking to an Elf. Don't you agree, toren? Does anyone else know any Elven?” She asked with a smile.
(Well met, little ones [positive endearment], brother. My [goodness], well done little one.)
Greg excused himself from the conversation that he was in as he noticed a certain white haired someone lighting up a cigarette. He cracked one last joke before finally slipping away and sliding up to the white haired man.
“Shouldn’t smoke those…” Greg said, wondering if he was quick enough to grab the thing before Shinji hit him. He had never smoked, despite the fact that a lot of his buddies had. Meldenda had always managed to keep him from doing it… “They’re bad for your health. So is watching the Elves, or at least it is for me. So what do you say we put out the cigarette and talk a bit, making both of us more healthy. Or we could go and look for someone’s most loved fan…” I killed it! *does dance of death. Or as my narutard freind would say 'Jashin!' selfimpales!*

That stupid.. grumbling Chinese curses under his breath, Herei continued his search for his beloved fan. It wasn't some cheap knock off someone could have bought in Chinatown in San Fran. or L.A. or something! It was a one of a kind piece of art! And that... stopping and takng a moment to 'refine' himself, he stood in mid-search and took the time to straighten out his outfit. He was, after all, an advisor. And a beautiful advisor at that! (Modesty? What's that?! XD) He shouldn't allow himself to act like some second-rate, jealous school child! How would that look to the students? They would never respect him if they saw him that way...
Maybe then he'd have a good reason to... improvise his 'demonic sensei' status. A slightly evil grin crossed his rouged lips before something caught his eye. Hold on.. Focusing on it more fully, he realized what he was seeing. One of the dear, sweet, wonderful students... had his fan! And was wandering somewhere by the looks of it! "Hmmm..."
Plotting more ways to hurt Shinji-san.. maybe put rat poison in his dinner tonight or something equally good... he wandered after said student. Now, which one was it? With so many new students coming in, he hadn't had time to research faces and names yet. But with so many around.. that also caused a problem. "Where.. did he go??" -_-;;;

Shinji's thoughts were altered when he heard Greg's voice to the side of him. Moving his cig before the man could even make a grab for it, since he would indeed hit him if he attempted and quite hard, his eyes made contact with the fellow workmate's. "And my health is of concern to you.. how?" Though his voice wasn't cold... or as cold as it could be.
"I do as I please, thank you kindly." Taking a deep drag, he slowly let out a few rings of smoke. His comment about watching elves being bad for his health made him smirk a bit. Do many things could be said to that comment. Oh, so many and it would have amused him highly to say then. But he just took another heavy drag of his cig before it followed the same fate as his first cig; it was ground into the pavement thanks to his wonderful boot. "Look for Herei's fan? Hmm nah, allow him to find it as he pleases. I doubt he would accept my help, being as I was the one who threw it."
However... if anything happened to that fan... he didn't even wish to think how badly Herei would completely flip out. "But I suppose I could allow you to breathe 'healthy air' for a moment or two."

“My concern for your health, most beloved coworker, is that you run a risk of getting lung cancer, a most debilitating disease.” Greg said with a smirk as he noticed Shinji move the cigarette. Ah so he had gotten predictable. Well he supposed that he would just have to come up and grab it the next time. Granted getting hit was something that wasn’t all that fun but after getting hit by Dante all those times he was getting surprisingly resilient to any bludgeoning that came his way.
He was a bit surprised when Shinji didn’t say anything about watching Elves, but he supposed that it meant that the other teacher respected him? …hmmm…
“Oh, come now, Shinji.” Greg said putting an arm around the others shoulders. “Surely the idea of being on the floor with poor little Herei must appeal to you, even a little, even if it’s just for the fan.” he said with a smirk. “But I suppose that I shouldn’t press it as you’re allowing me to breath your non-contaminated smoke.” he motioned vaguely to the cigarette butt that was on the floor and wondered where the nearest garbage can was for about .001 seconds before deciding that he really didn’t care. “Although I think that my lungs could put up with a little smoke for an answer to that.” He said taking his arm off of Shinji and shrugging his shoulder. “But really I shouldn’t be so rude…. So I haven’t seen you for a while.” He said, still thinking that an answer would be at least entertaining. “Been busy?”

It seemed they were joined before they had to introduce themselves formally. Looking to the elf, Elijah found himself already admiring Dante. He seemed regal, mysterious, yet the introduction of himself to the three students was classic. Impressed and bemused was 'Lij' as he heard the eloquent words escaped Jaden's lips. His eyes shifted between Dante and the young man before Miss Irame joined in. He smiled to her politly, glad she had joined them.
