Lola walked uncertainly past the various lockers. The majority of them were numbered, some with makeshift signs displaying the name of the Brother or Sister who stored there gear in that particular locker. There were a few, however, with more permanent markings. The one she noticed held the name "Ender". Lola stopped and stared at the name for a moment, wondering who he was and why his locker had a less removable name on it. "Perhaps he's a veteran..." She thought to herself before turning and continuing past the lockers and the occasional locked off room. When she reached the one with the numbers she'd been assigned, she looked at the piece of tape on which was the name of a Brother who, she assumed, had been lost in some mission. The peeled off the tape and used the key she'd been given to open the locker. Looking inside, she noted that all of the equipment she'd been assigned was there. Pulling out the Wraith Armor that hung against the back of the container, she turned it around in her hands, admiring the durable yet light weight material. Looking around to ensure that she was alone in the armory, Lola removed her torn and dirtied vault jumpsuit and quickly dressed herself in the surprisingly comfortable leather armor. After she finished admiring the material, Lola returned her attention to the locker's contents. She smiled at the comforting image of the combat knife, which was far more impressive than the butcher's knife which she'd owned for so many of the years she'd spent in the vault. Seeing the throwing weapons, however, brought an irrepressible grin to the girl's face. Lola pulled an incindiary grenade out of bag she'd requested for carrying them and brought it up to her face. "Oh the fun we're going to have, my dear~" She said before kissing the wonderful weapon and grinning at it for a few minutes before placing it back in the appropriate compartment of her bag. Done with the fun toys, she then turned her attention to those which she'd only chosen because she knew that going on a mission without any conventional firearms would be a pretty damn stupid thing to do. The two Sigsauer's not only fired faster than most pistols, but had the option of firing three bullets at once; at least, that's what she was told when she asked about it. It was also extremely lightweight and easy to use, supposedly, so she figured it would be the best weapon for someone who would only be using firearms in an emergency. If only she could use laser pistols... those she knew how to manage. She'd 'borrowed' one from the vault armory when she was younger and practiced shooting rats with it. She'd also been able to get her hands on a user's guide for it, so she knew how to maintain that particular weapon; sadly, that was the only firearm she knew anything about. Sighing, she pulled one of the pair out of the locker and took it over to one of the workbenches and began taking it apart in an attempt to figure out the weapon's anatomy so that she could at least care for it.

done with his work at the Forge Razgriz took a tour of the armory as he always does this time of the day, inspecting the base section by section, his footseps were loud enough to echo through the empty hallways of the armory, this particular building was rarely used for once the brotherhood members get their assigne weapons they usually kep them in the lockers they have at the barracks' entrance he heared some clicking sounds and the sound of rattling metal, wondering what the source could be, he moved lightly, almost without a sound as he peered into the room from which the sound originated, his eyes scanned the room in a second, a force of habit he got from working with Barsul, that man used to clear entire rooms in seconds, so he got used to scanning a position quickly inorder to find targets before his friend could wipe them all out,
a gentle smile came upon his face as he noticed that it was an initiate working on a pistol, he could tell which one exactly because he didn't have complete vision over her work bench, however he did not feel the need to conceal his pressense any further, so he knocked on the door gently and said "you like that armor? you have Paladin Alex to thank for that one, she designed it herself," and he walked confidently closer to the initiate, his eyes only left her position for a couple of seconds as they examined the room around him, locker after locker, door after door, well there were only two doors in that side of the room,
he did however shift his attention back to the initate as he maintained his smile and had his arms behind his back, almost as if in attention,

Having long ago learned to keep her ears open for the slightest sounds, Lola had heard the echoing of boots down the halls before her superior officer had even reached the door to the room she was in. She was almost done reassembling the weapon when he spoke to her. Not wanting to be rude, she momentarily abandoned the job at hand to look up at Razgriz with a shy smile on her face. She never was good with people. "It's really comfortable." She responded, pausing for a moment to look down at the gun for a moment before returning her attention to her Brother. "I'm kinda nervous about wearing it during the day though... I think that the black would stand out like a power-armored soldier amongst a crowd of babies." At that, her mind suddenly started whirling with ideas concerning what she could do to make her outfit better able to hide her out in the desert, as that was likely where most of her missions would take place. She caught herself, however, before her mind wandered away from the man before her. "Who's Paladin Alex? Er... if you don't mind me asking, that is..."

Razgriz smiled and said "you're the new initate assigned to the Reapers right?" his voice was calm and quiet as his eyes examined the girl before him, she wasn't very old, prpably one of the youngest members in the brotherhood, his arms moved to his side relaxing as he looked around him at the lockers, his eyes were serious as they jumped from one locker to the other as if searching for something in particular, and then they stopped as an excited "aha" came from his mouth, he had a faint smile on his face as he walked towards one of the lockers and stood before it, his eyes had a thoughtfull look on them as he said in a fond voice "Paladin Alex Twixi, she was one of our best members, quite abusive if you ask me, but she was a very nice woman, and she designed the armor herself,"
his smile faded and his face had a blank look on it as if he was a slate of marble as he took a heavy breath and raised his head looking at the initate and continued speaking "however she left us a short while ago, and that armor is her legacy, that locker was hers, actually her name is still on it, incase she decided to rejoin us one day,"
he then stood upstraight as he cleared his throat, his right hand moving to caress his neck and sliding long the length of his shirt as it went down back to his side, "are you gonna equip a stealth unit or not? because you'll need to change your armor's colour if you won't," he remarked to her in reply of her thoughts, and he continued "Brutus can handle re-painting your armor, if you want to, just go to the forge and ask him,"

Lola was absentmindedly fiddling with the gun parts when her Brother indirectly told her that he was her assigned squad leader. She was too unused to conversing with others to think of a response before he went on to tell her about the now resigned Paladin. She nodded, then looked back down in the armor, 'It's a shame she left... the woman must have been brilliant.' She thought to herself before her attention was brought back to her squad leader. When he was finished speaking, Lola paused for a moment in thought. "Well... paint chips, and a stealthboy's batteries don't last that long..." She pursed her lips and her eyes flashed towards the ceiling as though she were looking to it for an answer. "I guess..." A smile suddenly crossed her face, "Do you think I can get a spare suit of this armor type? I think I know what to do to make this one blend in with the desert better."

Zaid cocked an eye brow as he said "I might be able to do that, but can I ask what's on your mind?" he asked her, when people get idas that he didn't understand right away he wants to know everything about them, the man was very curious, and it seemed that the girl had an idea, and an interresting one at that, but he couldn't risk damaging brotherhood equipement without at least figuring out if the thing will work or not,

Lola suddenly blushed at the feeling that his curiosity had been aroused by her, and was focused on understanding her idea. She'd always been scorned and denied as a child for her unorthodox ways, and wasn't used to such attention. "Well... for starters, I think it would be a good idea to roughen up the armor so that it doesn't reflect sunlight so easily... I'd also, well, I think finding a way to embed sand in its surface would be beneficial, I mean, the desert is composed of sand, and if the surface is roughened it should be easier to... well, I guess to glue the sand into the tiny indentations?" She ended her idea with uncertainty, wondering if she sounded completely ridiculous. She wasn't even completely sure as to how she would pull this off, working with materials like this was hardly her area of expertise, but it was worth finding out if her idea had any value.

Zaid smiled as he noticed her apparent blush and said "it's a nice idea, and it can be pulled off, in one of our mission I was equipeed with steel armor, nothing reflects light like those things, so inorder to approach the enemy encampment I had to burrow through the sands of the desert, so I think your idea is plausable, but why the second piece of armor? a backup incase your plan doesn't work?"

Lola smiled with relief as her squad leader agreed that her idea might be a good one, then smiled when he told her of one of his efforts to pull off a similar feat. When he inquired as to why she wanted a second piece of armor, she accidentally allowed herself to giggle and softly smile before she responded. "You know... I think a five and a half foot tall figure smothered in sand would stand out if we ever end up inside of a facility." Hey eyes gleamed playfully despite her still obvious discomfort as she finished with, "Just maybe."

Zaid couldn't help but let out a little laugh as he noticed her reaction, he then raised his left hand his finger curled almost into a loose fist as he index finger slipped and he tapped his temple lightly as he said "that's why espionage personel are given stealth boys, when I did that burrowing I had my armor insulated from the inside with rubber, and besides once I snuck inside all I had to do was shake myself alittle and all the sand blew away," he then lowered his hand back to his side as his right hand pointed at the pistols before her "what are you doing with these?" he asked her with the same curious tone from before,

Lola watched as her squad leader raised his hand to his temple, which she assumed meant she wasn't using her head. She felt slightly insulted by the insinuation; as well as the idea that one of her greatest strengths, something which she'd been good at for two-thirds of her life, wasn't developed well enough for her to go without some stupid, light-bending wrist-band to do all of the work for her. She was, in all honesty, caught somewhat off guard by her emotional response, she'd had no idea that she was as proud as she just realized she might be.
When Razgriz gestured towards her pistols, she stored away the realization for later consideration and looked down at the now reassembled SIGsauer. "Well... I've never really used a normal pistol before." She admitted reluctantly. "I figured I might as well learn what parts go where, in case I mess something up in the field, you know?" She turned to her squad leader, hoping he'd agree, and that she wasn't being too... abnormal. "I'm actually planning on taking them out to the shooting range now that I know how to reassemble one." She said with a nod. "But I don't mind staying here longer... I mean... er, if that's what you'd prefer." She blushed again, now hoping that she wasn't coming across the 'wrong way'.

Razgriz took a knee as he lowered his body sloly next to her examining the pistols, she dismateled them perfectly, he had a look of admiration on his face as he said "keep this up and you'll go a long way here, I'm impressed," and he took a moment of silence studying the pistols and her hands, they seemed somewhat soft, like his hands when he was young, it seemed she has never been in a fight before, perhaps he'll have to look after her in their next mission, his whole rose up as he looked at her face, she had a determined look in her eyes, he rplied with a smile before he continued "you have a strategic mind, but I think you haven't seen much warfare before have you?" he asked her with a gentle tone, and a pleasant face,

Lola smiled with both gratitude and embarrassment in response to her squad leader's compliment. As he continued examining the pistols and, unknown to her, her hands, Lola couldn't help wondering what was running through his mind. As his eyes returned to her face, she blushed again at the attention, her discomfort not helped by the smile upon his face and the compliment he gave her. When he asked about her experience with combat, she began to feel a bit flustered. It wasn't the question, but the tone and expression he displayed while asking it. "Well... I've never really been in a fight before." She admitted with expert deception. She may not have been good with people, but that didn't mean that she didn't know how to lie. Secrecy was an easy thing for her, and the fact that the history she had given the Brotherhood during her initiation wasn't exactly true was something she had no intentions of revealing any time soon.

Smelling profusely of sweat, carbon and CLP the young initiate walked past his conversing squadmates towards his locker. As he came face to face with his squad leader he gave a brief nod and continued his steps. Without even attempting the combination lock that hung of his locker the young man gave a sharp rap to the hinged side of the locker and watched as it fell loose attached only by the comination lock. He reached into the locker and pulled out a small red pouch about the size of two fists. Tucking the pouch under his left arm the initiate repositioned the locker door standing it up warily and then ramming his shoulder into the hinged side. He stepped back to examine his work and upon seeing that it held he proceeded to a nearby workbench and opened the pouch filled with assorted small tools. Uncliping the MP5 at his side he began tearing it apart, placing some pieces neatly on the table and before him and letting others fall to his feet.

Zaid stood up slowly with a slight dragging sound from the friction of his clothes against the hard ground and as he straightened his back he raised his head up all the way, his eyes staring at the cieling as if searching for something in particular with no success, he then took a deep breath before letting the now warm air escape out of his lungs in a short exhale as he lowered his head, he looked around him take note of Aruil's handiwork with the locker, which almost made him laugh, yet he did not as he looked back at the new initiate before him, he wondered if it was too soon to send her to battle, but then again she will have to enter combat sooner or later, might as well be soon to figure out if she needs any assistance early on before she has to stand up on her own two feet,
he had a blank stare in his eyes and his face was like a slab almost devoid of emotion as he started thinking about his squad members, waking up from his temporary trance which consumed several seconds of time he smiled again before his right hand rose up slowly to scratch the backside of his head, just as his lips parted to let his voice out into the room, he spoke in a caring and gentle tone as he said "well, soon you will be, and all I can tell you is to try and stay calm, if you find yourself overwhelmed or endangered then I want you to retreat to the safest location possible, it is more important to me that you all survive, there will be more missions to come so try not to die, and if you need help don't be ashamed or shy of asking for it, a lot of people including me try to not ask for help, thinking that they might distract their team or slow the mission down, but the truth is that in doing so, the entire team and the mission itself become endangered of being a failure,"
he paused for a second as he remembered the incident during his mission assaulting the mutant vats, and how he almost endagered the entire team, and his right hand instinctively descended to the lower left part of his chest touching the area where he had a huge scar covering the wound that almost killed him, if it wasn't for Yulia he really would have been dead, and ever since then he swore to never endager his comrades like that ever again, shaking the thoughts out of his mind he had a serious look in his eyes as he spoke to her in an affirmative tone "I'll say it again, your life comes first, there are people who are backing you up and are counting on you to stay alive, that is your only mission in this world"
