Crim` shrugged, tilting his head back and staring at the ceiling. "Eh... Maybe I should go back. It'd be better to get a jumpstart on working on our plans against them... Not that they haven't already gotten the jump on us."
He looked down to his stomach, lifting up his shirt to reveal the area, still bandaged. "And it's alright I guess... Still a bit sore."

"Hm. Be careful on your way back then." Getting up, she walked over to the laptop and pulled out a small notebook. Reading through the list, she jotted down all the addresses and names in Aekea. It was still quite a long list, but as the clients appeared to come from all over Gaia, it was almost managable.
"I'll check out these places while you go try and narrow it down." She said, still jotting down addresses. "I may as well get a head start on this, and I'm always up for a bit of stalking."
Finishing up, she slipped the book back away. "I can stay here in there meantime, right? Your friend won't kick me out?"

He blinked, looking at her a bit strangely as she told him to be careful. Crim` lazily laid across the couch on his back after she got up, closing his eyes. "Yeah, I'll tell him to..." he yawned. "...let you stay for as long as you need to."

Kat checked her watch. "Hm, it's getting late. Looks like we were in that building longer than I thought. I'm going to bed. You might want to head out in the morning."

Crim` had already dozed off, his eyes heavy and his hair draped over his content face. He began to snore a bit.

Shaking her head, Kat walked into her room and fell asleep almost instantly. The day had been fun, but tiring.

Crimson woke up hours later. It was now morning and his first course of action was to get a shower to clear his head. He stood, groggily walking toward one of the bathrooms. After about 20 minutes he was out, a simple towel draped over his lower body and his long hair tied in a loose ponytail, still dripping a bit. He dug through his belongings in his room to find a simple white t-shirt and a pair of black pants. Soon he was dressed and had packed up whatever else he brought along including his dirty clothes, pulling on his belt as he walked toward the balcony. After grabbing a small book of matches from the kitchen table he grabbed a cigarette from a box he set down on the patio table.
He looked down at the city, a cigarette hanging from his mouth as he struck a match on the small cardboard container and held it up to it's tip. "... this place is such a drag." he said to himself. Suddenly his phone rang. He flipped it open and answered it.
"Are you Skylicker?" asked a shady voice. "Be brief." answered Crim`. "I'm calling about those... Pipes you inquired about." continued the voice. "Ah... Good then. I assume they're ready." said Crim`. "Yes... Yes... pickup will be in our Isle de Gambino branch..." "Hm... I'll contact you soon, I've got other matters to attend to." "Better make it soon..." continued the voice, before the man on the other end hung up abruptly.
Crim` sighed, thinking. "I really don't have time to go there right now. Better get something to eat and head to HQ, I'm starving!"
He put his cigarette out in the ashtray on the table, grabbing the pack he had set next to it and slipping it into his pocket. Crim` then proceeded to head back into the room, jotting down a quick note for Kata that read: "I'm heading back now, if you need to contact me here's my cell number. Stay outta trouble."
With that he was off, stopping to speak with his friend Samuel, the Hotel manager for a moment about Kata's stay. He agreed and said she could stay as long as she needed. After stopping for a quick bite at the deli across the street(and chickening out about asking for the cute waitresses' phone number) he began the long drive back to the Team 0wnage HQ in Barton.

Waking up the next day, Kat wandered into the common room to find Crim's note. Cell phone number. Cool. Pulling out her notebook, she quickly wrote it down under a section labelled "Crim's Cremation."
Grabbing a coke from the bar fridge, she sat down on the couch and began flipping through the addresses she'd grabbed the other day. She counted about 30 names. Hm. Maybe she wouldn't get through ALL of them.
She looked through the list, trying to spot street names she recognized. Having only been in town for 2 days, that wasn't many, though she did spot a couple. Seemed like the place to start before she found a map.
One place stuck out in particular. J. Truant, 195 Portal Street. If she wasn't mistaken, the hotel was on that street. She tapped the name absentmindedly, then abruptly got up, going to change.
Maybe she'd get some clothes while she was out today. She hadn't really anticipated needing a change of clothes while she was Aekea, and she'd been wearing the same thing for several days now. Well, it wasn't like she lacked money. She'd have to take a shopping spree on the doctor's tab, she thought as she left the hotel room, tucking the notebook away.

Kat checked the address in her notebook again, then the house she stood in front of. Looked like the right address, though Aekea houses were tiny. In fact, there was just a door, with the number was on it, jammed between 2 other similar doors. Strange town.
She looked over herself quickly. Her clothes were... filthy. A couple splatters of blood combined with dirt covered her clothes. She'd attempted to clean them when she left but apparently it hadn't worked out too well.
She glanced at the door again, then turned and walked off. She thought she'd seen a couple stores out this way when she came in with Crim. And possibly a laundromat. She actually rather liked this shirt.

Several hours later, Kat emerged from Aekea's clothing store with a clean clothes and several bags of more clothes. Figuring the credit cards would be cancelled as soon as the doctor recovered enough to notice their absence, she'd splurged a little in an antique weapon shop. A katana was now strapped to her back and the credit card history suggested it wasn't the only item purchased there. The catgirl had decided she needed to broaden her horizons in the weaponry field.
After a quick stop at the hotel to drop off some stuff, she reappeared outside the man's doorstep. She was wearing a simple white shirt with a nice blazer, and black pants. The katana still strapped to her back might be a give away, but casually worn weapons were common in Gaia, and a sign of power and money. She looked to all the world like a nice, wealthy gaian with no hidden agenda.
Which was accurate up until the last point. With one final look over, she strode confidentally up to the door and knocked. A small boy answered the door, staring up at Kat blankly.
"Hi there, I'm from Tremax Real Estate, and I'm asking around the neighbourhood to see if anyone is interested in selling their home. Is Mr. Truant in?" She said with a smile.
The boy continued to stare at her blankly before turning around and shouting into the house.
"DAAAAAAAD!!!"
He then turned slightly to let Kat into the home before running off, J. Truant walking up to greet her. Bull's-eye. Kat thought with a smile as she proceeded to chat up her target.

Suddenly, with a twitch and a jerk a robotic mailman knocked on the door. "AEKEA POSTAL SERVICE... YOU... HAVE A PACKAGE" said the robot, knocking in a rhythmic pattern. He held a small package under his arm. The robot wore a campy and totally lame postal worker outfit that really showed Aekea's postal department was designing their uniforms for robots. The bot himself looked like something some 3 year old would draw.

Kat jumped slightly at the robot, then smiled at Mr. Truant.
"I see you have a bit of a distraction. If you like, I can look around your house a little, and give you a free estimate of your property value."
Truant looked from her to the robot, slightly wary, and quickly nodded, giving his permission. Wasting no time, Kat quickly walked in, looking for anything suspicious. Or at least, more suspicious than the man's attitude already.
Thirty minutes later, Kat was outside again, jotting down a few notes in her notebook. Mr Truant had rejoined her quickly, but she'd seen nothing overly suspicious about the house. It simply hadn't seemed like they had enough money for the robot, or any connection with MK Headquarters at all. Definitely something to hide, just not quite the scale they were dealing with.
With a single stroke, Kat crossed the name off her list and looked at the next name. P. Heffel, 45 Tera Lane. She thought she'd seen that street earlier. With little more than a vague idea of direction, she headed off towards the next victim. After all, the day was still young, and she had alot of names.

The street was pretty filled with traffic.
Then suddenly...
An old man screamed at Kata from a donut stand across the street.
"HEEEY MISSY, WHOO YOU SURE ARE SOMETHIN`! ARE YA DATING ANYBODY?!"
This old man... He looked like Popeye.
Yet... He didn't cross the street.
Being that it was filled with traffic.

Kat grunted in disgust, and tried to ignore the guy. She had a mission, much as she'd love to kill the guy on the spot, starting a fight and possibly a chase on the street would waste the few hours of sun remaining. She did take mental note of the guys location for the walk home.
Now, if he decided to follow her, that would be a horse of a different colour.

The man blinked and then stepped out into the street.
...and was soon run over, or rather, knocked onto his a** by a speeding car that just barely jammed it's break enough in time.
What matters is that he's unconscious now.
"OH MY GOD DID I JUST HIT SOMEBODY!?" screamed the soccer mom.
