The bartender also looked over at the woman, all she did at the noise was roll over onto her side, into a more comfortable position. The elder man gave a low whistle and shook his head laughing.

"If only I were a couple decades younger... I know what'll bring her around."

He dissapeared into the kitchen, rustled around for a moment and then reappeared carrying two plates. One he set down in front of the devil with a grin and shrugged.

"You both slept through breakfast... 'sides, there's only one thing womenfolk wants after a night of pleasure, besides a good cuddle, an that's grub. Voracious appetites them dames hide behind those little waists of thurs."

The old man wanders over to Sierra and waves the plate in front of her nose with a 'just you watch' smile for Kain.

Sure enough, the elf sniffed at the air and murmmers something sleepily, blinking awake and staring hungrily at the plate of breakfast. She sits straight up eagerly, then thinks better of it as the trench coat had come loose during the night and was now slightly agape. With a meep she snatches one of the blankets to her chest bashfully and holds one hand out for the plate of food with a meek smile.

The old man laughs. Handing her the plate he drops a kiss on her forehead and makes his way back to the counter with a laugh.

"For that little glimpse into paradise, ye'can both eat as much as you like... no charge."

He flashes Kain a thumbs up and wanders back into the kitchen leaving them both alone.

Poor Sierra sits blinking after him slightly confused.

"Errrmm... thank you... I guess...?"

The Devil chuckled and gave a sly wink to the bartender. the man knew woman...at least, of their appetites.

He laughed at Sierra's meep, he saw where the tender's eyes wandered too and amused him. He smiled as the bartender left into the back. Kain looked over to Sierra from the bar and tipped his glass towards her.

She had already tore into a piece of, if she'd woken up, would have been freshly baked bread and blinked at him. With a grin so bright it could have shamed the sun. She replies,

"Well you're certainly looking better, How do you feel?"

She gathers the blankets around her into a giant caccoon of warmth and attacks the next thing on her plate, she didn't remember the last time she'd been this hungry as of late. A mouthful of cheese, she peeks out at him, from the hood of blankets encircling her head.

"Very well, much better than last night anyway."

He took a sip from the remnants of his mug.

"I don't suppose you have an idea of when we'll be heading off. I'm fine to travel, I'm just wondering when you are ready."

She takes a look out the window, noting mid-day light levels, despite the fact she was holding breakfast, smells of lunch were wafting out from the kitchen. Wait... kitchen... bartender... fireplace... the hell. Finally awake realization dawned on her.

"How did we wind up down here?... the last thing I remember we were upstaitrs..."

Now that she was thinking about things, she didn't own a trenchcoat like this...

"And this?"

Just what HAD that Ra'kar been up to before she'd bailed and left Sierra to clean up the mess?...
PostPosted: Sun Nov 26, 2006 6:45 pm

"I brought you down here. I found you passed out beside my bed"

She didn't know about the trip he and Ra'Kar took?

"You don't know? I'm sorry, I'm not entirely sure on how this sort of 'possession' works...You don't remember anything after Ra'Kar came?"

Sierra had the good grace to look embarassed. This wasn't something she talked about with anyone... Ever since Victor had had his little interlude with her other self things had been 12 different shades of ******** up.

"Normally I would see anything and everything she does while in posession, as she does with me, and to a certain extent, 'tis the same as far as thoughts and feelings are concerned... but lately... Everything just goes dark...."

She hugs her knees to her chest, the brightness gone from her face, the worry was there, clear as crystal as she stares at the plate before her.

There was something new about the elf... he couldn't quite make it out but he seemed much more comfortable around her. He could obviously see the fear of Ra'Kar in her, something that he would be ready to watch for. Ra'Kar didn't leave a good taste in his mouth and would rather she not come back.

"Well, keep up your strength. I'm sure you'll need it for the trip--actually, how far away are we from the Guild?"

She appreciated the devil not questioning her further. He'd changed, his entire attitude had done a 360. Maybe it was because she'd healed him... she wasn't sure. She decided to heed his advice and hungrily picked up her plate again, driving thoughts of Ra'kar from her mind as best she could.

"Mmmm, two and a half days by horse, I'll ask the stable boy to ready them when we finish lunch."

A.] Yes she meant lunch and not the breakfast she had now, she was famished... and as Kain would also find out, a shameless glutton. B.] She didn't know about the horses...
PostPosted: Sun Nov 26, 2006 7:06 pm

He squinted his eyes at the mention of the horses.

"Ah-ha...about the horses."

He thought it over, not knowing if Sierra was attatched the smelly brutes he tried as best he could to soften the blow.

"They've been pretty much gutted and painted the stables a new colour."

...

Smooth Kain.

She choked on a grape, her eyes slightly wider than normal. Coughing for a spell and then drawing a deep breath, she stares at him questioningly... then she puts two and two together. The strong smell of blood in the stables, the demon corpse... AWWW YEAH. Brilliant deductive skills Captain ******** Obvious...

"Right, well... that slightly hinders things."

She takes a a nibble of a honey cake and ponders something.

"IF there are any horses left in town... those things tend to kill everything available... we can barter for a new ride... If not... I guess we'll fly as far as the next town and get horses there."

She was expecting some sort of protest right about now... She didn't know that her companion could fly, so she was basically contemplating carrying him herself. She'd done simmilar things before... why not...
PostPosted: Sun Nov 26, 2006 7:20 pm

"Fly?...well...I'm not sure what the general populace's reaction to you would be, but they certainly like to fire arrows and follow me around once I start flappin' about in the sky. Peasants aren't very open minded to men with bat-like wings..."

He found it strange that she knew about his flight ability...maybe it was a trick to get him to tell more of himself, was she planning something? Probably not, he was obviously overthinking the situation, but how very rude to suggest he cart her a** around.

She blinks at him and bluntly states her question.

"You fly?"

Well this was news to her. Useful news at that.

Okay...

"What were you implying?"

"No longer relevant!"

She grins and hurries on, she could tell he wouldn't have liked the concept of being carried in the arms of a woman... especially an elven one... something about a devil man's pride no doubt.

"Well... some people don't take to kindly too anything with pointed ears let alone wings... but unless we want to heel and toe it, we're not left with very many options are we?"
