Lune was too unused to the striking ability of his body to match the Raptor's aggressive evasion but he was far too heavy to be moved by such a comparatively light weight creature. He didn't even move from the force of the blow and turned, completely uninjured, to face the raptor again. However, this time he did not feel the need to position his tail.
"You are too cocky for a trained killer, ssir. You sstrike me a** a trained but inexperienced man. I may be untrained but I know enough about thiss body to be dangerouss to you."
Lune could feel that his body had two complete and complimentary musculo-skeletal systems and weighed far more than the raptor, in spite of the raptor's greater height. Lune also knew that he was able to lift at least four times his own weight. If he wished, he could simply get one hold on the raptor and smash every bone in his body before the reptile could manage to injure him. This is especially true because of the proportionately thick carapace that covered him. It had to be at least two inches of solid chitin. That could take a lot of impact and wouldn't be damaged by most slashing impacts.

The very instant the Raptor's feet left the ground as he jumped over Lune, Aion was off like a shot, a black blur moving through the foliage, his keen hunter wolf's mind controlling his actions, So precise was he able to calculate the dinosaur's leap that he was angled exacly where the beast man landed, unfortunetally he had not forseen the dino-man's kick and subsequent stumble, Digging into the ground with his hands and allowing a skidding of his hind legs Aion changed direction mid-stride, but he still ended up in front of the dinosaur, instead of behind him like Aion had wanted. With a beastial snarl he launched himself forward, not even thinking about it as his jaws angled for the taller man's throat.

The demon Angel The raptor did two things unexpectedly and surprisingly fast. First he lashed a hand out kocking Chestnut back from her direction flying towards him, and secondly he kicked off from the ground, jumping up away from Copper and over Lune he grasped one hand around the creature's poisoned tail, spinning around in mid air and landing behind him low to the ground with his legs tight against him, then, maintaining his grip on the dangerous appendage he kicked out hard, intent on sending the heavy armored scorpion flying away from him. Once that was done he sprang up moving quickly a few feet further away, "You animals don't stand a chance against a trained killer like me." He sneered and looked around at them all. "You're not even worth my time, you would do well to learn how to survive in this world, there are more dangerous things out there than me, and many of them are far less forgiving. "He drew back up to his full height, strangely the movement was non-threatening, as if he didn't even care what else they might try.
Chestnut was mightily confused as he found himself flying through the air. He sailed into the tree harboring the serval and missed by bare centimeters a certain stripey tree. The impact with the tree's trunk forced the air from Chestnut's lungs. Spots appeared before his eyes but he did not again sink into unconciousness.
The little fox picked himself up trembling all over. His mind was in a whirl..... Elix..... Copper.... were was the hound?

Slade looked down on the person who had disturbed her tree with faint amusement. It was fascinating to her that a person could be so haphazard. She promptly glanced up again as she heard the crash of the raptor and the wolf. They were rolling and tumbling over each other while both tried to get the upper hand. She sighed almost inaudibly as she realised that she might have to get involved wether she planned to join this group or not. They needed someone not involved with what was happening to interfere. Granted, it would probably be sorted out later, but she was in no mood to wait that long. Let's see, a good bit of caustic common sense should set them straight. Another sigh, but I definetly won't be ignored by the fighters if they still won't listen to reason. Slade readied herself for flight as she waited for a break in the battle. She wouldn't get in their way if they decided to attack her.

Copper's vision dimmed. There was noise and then her lungs filled with revitalizing oxygen. She lay breathing not quite aware of the struggle going on around her. She lay dazed looking up at the artificial lighting. Suddenly she remembered what had happened she lept up. She wavered a momment as the darkness crowded in again and her head reacted the too quick change.
Looking about her she stopped in horror as she witnessed the battle going on between the three creatures. No... this wasn't right..... her former anger bled from her. Even if Chestnut was dead, attacking this man wouldn't bring him back. The thought blazed through her mind, a sudden epiphany. They shouldn't be fighting each other..... it would just make it easier for the Others to overcome them.
" Please," her voice croaked. No one heard over the sounds of the struggle. She limped towards the entangled group.

Aion somehow managed to keep a portion of his wits about him during the tumble, even after having them addled by the raptor's defensive blow. As they rolled through the underbrush Aion made a concentrated effort to avoid the sharp claws and teeth of his opponent. And once their momentum had halted enough, he sprang backwards landing crouched on all fours a low growl emenating from his throat as his eyes locked with the dinosaur's. His wolf conciousness still reigned, although by a thinner thread...

Slade noted that the hound girl was heading towards the fight, but otherwise ignored her. She saw that a staring contest was now at hand, and that the opening she had sought was before her. " Wow, look at the little children play. Was there a real reason for your tuffle, or were you just bored? Are you done with your nonsense and ready to make up and discuss your differences? Or do you want to continue to excercise pointlessly?" This was said in the most scathing tones, and would likely bring both contestant's attention towards her. This would end the fight because both would likely attack her instead. Slade crouched, poised on her branch ready for flight. At least I'm ready to move, whilst they will have to change position first. that split second decision would give her the time to escape their reach, because she wasn't faster than they were.

The raptor growled back at the wolf deep in it's throat, but once again slowly stood up into a less threatening, but still arrogant and dominating position, seeming to ignore the cat even though he heard and understood the words. Instead he addressed Aion, "You are very foolish, but I'll give you marks for bravery, however next time perhaps you should think before you assault someone who is fully capable of tearing you to ribbons. If it had been my intentions you could be dead right now, but I am not a sensless killer like some..." His eyes darted back and forth from Chestnut to the cat, to Aion, daring them to challenge his statement. He was pleased to note that no one seemed to have been seriously hurt, though certainly a couple of them had bumps and bruises. He was seriously annoyed with the behavior of these juvenile creatures. He might not have anything resembling memories, but he knew that this situation was not accomplishing anything, the worst part was, he'd let his own annoyance start it, though he'd certainly never expected it to go this far...

Lune pushed himself up to a standing position, rising to his full six feet of height and hissing calmly through his mandibles. He was able to see the fact that this fight was over, so long as the more excitable ones didn't pursue the offence further. He looked at the raptor with a steady and typically expressionless face.
"Indeed, Aion, you are outmatched. And you have shown control, whoever you are. This altercation is over. Anyone who wishes to continue it..."
Lune's eyes narrowed slightly, his stern expression making it clear that anyone who did feel like fighting had best be able to get through him first. We do not have the time for such a stupid waste of energy. He began it and he's finishing it now. If anyone else tries to start it up again... While his upright posture would make him look more imposing to the smaller individuals, he was aware that it was not a combative posture for a scorpion and that the raptor would know that. His gaze sought out that of the raptor, a certain degree of respect evident in it.

Chestnut stared up at the several and then he noted movement. He watched in horror as he saw Copper limp towards the combatents. He froze, he couldn't speak. He tried desperately to find that emotional surge, but whatever bravery had glittered remained hidden and the fox remained tongue-tied and horrified. He hated himself for his cowardice, hated himself he couldn't even shout a warning, something..... he was useless a spineless wimp. He watched as Copper bravely continued ignoring her weakened state and his self-loathing deepened.
The several's words startled him. His green eyes flicked back and he prayed they would halt. At Lune's words the paralyzing fear seemed lifted and Chestnut was off like a shot towards Copper. As he ran he pushed away his feelings..... he hadn't been able to protect her.

Aion continued to glare at the dinosaur for several moments, then suddenly his entire body jolted, and his human conciousness came flooding back. He sat stunned for several moments as he reveiwed the altercation, "What am I doing!??" He aksed aloud to himself as He sat back in shock, "What the,....I didn't....I" His mind whirled, why did he attack the man? He couldn't even understand it himself.... it was as if he had been a different person. With a confuzed whimper Aion skittered back to where Sabel cowered, asking in panicked tones, "What in the world was I just doing?? What possessed me to attack him? I can't even remember why!!" He whined, gaze dashing between the other would-be combatants.

The 'fur tree' looked at Aion with a cockeyed stare. With a shrug Sabel replied "Dunno, looked kinda like you were trying to get yourself killed, or something." She had completely ignored the serval cat as soon as the hyena realized the other was an annoying, full-of-herself, feline. If the cat tried to bug her again, Sabel would bite the smaller girl, and show her what hyena's were about.

Slade paused, almost dissapointed that no one had responded in anger to her comments. She watched the end of the altercation and finally jumped out of her tree. She walked on hands and feet, as she customarily did, right over to the combatants. She looked up at them and stated merely her name and her desire to join them," I am Slade, I was of the desire to join this group, for I find that that was my whim at the time." She looked back and forth between the many furred people in the area and silently waited for them to introduce themselves. She was naturally shy, but, with her adrenaline still high from possible danger, she had forgoten such.

Copper was suddenly engulfed in an enthusastic embrace. She yelped in suprise, not even having seen the fox. Chestnut, hastily released her however, looking very self concious.
The hound girl was framing a response when she was side-tracked by the Several girl. The hound's gentle brown eyes blinked and then her tongue lolled out in a dog grin. Copper loved making new friends, it seemed now she would have even more.
" I'm Copper! Glad to know you!" she enthused, the tragedy of the moment before quickly displaced by happier thoughts in true scatter-brained style.
