FinalFantasyFanAeCK I think Aeris would be the lead character because she brought the best out of everyone in the game, and they all missed her deeply when she died. crying Aeris would be fun to play as in a new game. The return of Aeris! Where she comes back a year after the final fight between cloud and co v.s. Sephrioth

Why the heck is everybody saying aeris she is dead for shnops sakes so how could she be the main character! Plus You never even play as her in the game. She might be a cool character but it isnt a popularity contest. It is who would be the most likely in the absense of cloud. So even though cid's an old fart we already know he would be the leader, because its his airship. But If I could choose I would sayYuffie because she is cool and is not having a mid life crisis.

To be the main Character other than Cloud...Tifa or Barret.Because neither one doesn't change the whole story as much as everybody else.This is going by if Cloud never existed in the first place,he downright died somewhere before the game started,or it goes by a different point of view except he doesn't do much,this is NOT about popularity,how it will go AFTER the game,or how the guy is just badass guy we all respect and admire,some people tend to hate the main character ya' know!
-If Aerith were main character..much action wouldn't be going on considering she has only been selling flowers and hid in the slums.She isn't really the 'type' to go out all of the sudden and become a 'whooo!I'ma rebel!' type,she's more gentle than that.
-If Vincent were to be Main character in the ORIGINAL FINAL FANTASY VII ALONE...we would be either playing through his dreams until he wakes up and the party finds him..but since he's an optional character...up to where he sleeps is where we end the game...
-If Cait Sith was main character...do I HAVE to?
-If Red the XIII was main character...all we're ever going to do is be stuck in a friggin labratory...whoo....
-If Cid was main character...he'd be all emo and s**t about his lost dream..*wow,how EXCITING*coughNOTcough
-If Sephiroth were to be main character..it would suck if we were to end up being dead with nothing with the guy's wishes..that's just gay man
-If Yuffie was main character,sure,we'd have some excitement..but she has no grudge against the villian whatsoever,so she would make a friggin large army of ninjas who will steal peoples materia.....WOULD be cool if for the fact that it has NOTHING to do with anything...

most likely Tifa, because it already tells the rest of their life... plus Tifa knew Cloud as a child.

was the 1st character in the storyline to
ever hold the covenant Buster Sword.
If Zack didn't die, he would be leading the reistance
of AVALANCHE, not Cloud or Barret or Tifa.
Plus, Zack was the boyfriend of Aeris.
Don't you want to hear more about what happened between them?
