((Ohhh... A story? I don't think I read that one... Well, it's YOUR guys' fault for reusing names! This for sure isn't the first time you've used Eryk, Ala! You and your Phantom obsession! ^^ Nonetheless. Woo!

^^ Yeah... yeah, I like Marco too.))

Marco smiled widely. She even tried to answer his questions; she was definitely a good one. Most boring people might give a few Yesses, Nos, and Hmms, or even just resort to "Shut up, kid," and walk away. He'd almost gotten worried when she started to walk away, but in the end, non-boringness had prevailed. Sure, she was still pretty breif about her replies, but Marco had met a very small few who could satisfactorily respond to one of this introductory rants.

He listened to her eagerly. He liked to let people say all they were going to say, before he interrupted them--otherwise, they'd forget what they were saying while he went off on a tangent. He looked at her ears carefully as she fingered one. Big, pointy ears... not your everyday deformation.

With a warm smile, he watched her run the slush through her fingers. It sounded like she was done, right? Yeah... "I dunno... I mean, I know I can't MAKE it do what I want, but, I mean, it's like, if you scold the sky for not working for you, you feel a little better about the weather, right? I mean, that's what I always thought." His eyes turned up, to the slowly drifting ice. "It's like, it's like, you yell up at the clouds that they're being jerks, because they're annoying, and even though they can't really hear you, you feel kind of like you told them off, right? And then maybe they'll feel bad and make up for being all lame." He looked back to his new friend, tucking his hands behind his head with another beaming grin. "That's what I like to think about it, anyway."

She spoke up again. Vanessa. That was a nice name. Names with letters at the end of the alphabet were some of the best ones. Especially ones with Xes or Zs. Those letters could make anything cool. His mind practically trailed off, before she suddenly pulled his shadow from its position on the ground and switched it with hers. His jaw dropped.

"Aww--Whooooah! Cool!" He flapped his arms eagerly, and giggled as Vanessa's silhouette did the same. He added unifoot-hopping to the routine, and tried to imagine the real woman doing the same. It was hard, but incredibly funny.

He sniggered madly and grinned up at her. "That's AWESOME. How can you make them do stuff like that? It's crazy awesome! I mean, it's already awesome that they go towards you--" he was starting to talk even faster than normal, "--but actually making them move around and switch who has them and move wit hthem? That's like so crazy! It's like magic, right? You know magic! I haven't met a lot of people who know magic, I think it's been maybe at least something like, like thirty years since last time I met someone who could do stuff like that, but you're definitely a magicker, arent'cha? Man, I thought you were cool but now you're ULTRAcool and it's just like--"

The end of his scarf burst into flame. "...Ah... aw... ohhh..." He scowled slightly and thwapped at the small conflagration, smothering it quickly. "Maaan, I hate it when I do that." He pouted and lifted the charred threads. "I liked this scarf, too. It wasn't fuzzy or anything, but it was still a good one." With a sigh, he let it go and grinned sheepishly. "My bad. That happens sometimes."

((Haha, dude, just POST it, Mizu... The only reason we have tangents going right now is because nothing's been done on your part... Not that I"m like, trying to be mean, but it's truuuuue. If this lasts too much longer, Aka and I are going to have our own story on our hands (and J and Teufel's characters being pulled into it too O.o, among others)... And that's probably not what you wanted so... Yeah, post it, man... get it typed and POST IT.))

((After a long wait (as I couldn't figure out WTH I wanted to put in my post, it's finally up xd Praise me! I know no ones interested in Okikurumi in here other than meshie and amaya, but I'm going to be posting the opening reply tonight if I can. I need to get my charies profile up as well. I'll let people join even after the first post, just in case it explains enough that others get interested.

If not, a three way rp works just fine ^^))

The evening was cold, and even though small dry flakes of gently grayed snow were falling from the sky, it felt dry. Though the second condition was more appealing than the first, the young woman that jogged down the street still had a look in her eyes that clearly said she was, at the moment, hating the world. The cold didn’t appeal to her at all, the fact made rather obvious by the tanned face she possessed, the bright crimson colored hair, and the foreign features of a desert dweller. She had lived in Europe for several years now, the city that was all rain and fog, and the tan from her native country, Egypt, hadn’t faded one bit.

The tan still earned her stares, especially during the winter, but at the moment, her mind wasn’t focused on the stares reaching her from the dark as she passed under streetlights. She was focused on getting home as soon as possible with the weeks groceries she had just purchased. Nocturnal by nature, she had napped almost the entire day, nearly missing the grocery store while it had been open. She had thought herself adjusted to daylight life, but she still found the cat-like enjoyment of the night peeking through every now and then. A black scarf at the moment hid her nose, neck, and mouth from the cool breeze… God how she hated the cold.

To make things worse, the full moon was waning, having fallen into it’s half full state, signaling that the new moon was almost upon them, and that her time being in the open would have to be reduced as the rather anxious beast inside stirred about, anticipating its night of freedom. With a sigh, she paused, glancing about around her, just now taking in the sight of two people speaking, and a rather sudden burst of flame on the scarf of the rather childish sounding form. Had she actually wished to pay attention to what they spoke of, it would easily reach her ears, her hearing quite acute, but she had no desire what so ever.

Though the flames did spark up a flicker of curiosity, and she felt her feet moving in the direction of the two. For a while, she proceeded toward the two, but stopped abruptly, shaking her head and turning away. There was no time for such things… She didn’t like the public anyway, the people that wandered about, they all treated her too strangely. Sure she was different, but they didn’t know just HOW different, but they still stared at her like she was some foreign trinket to be gawked at.

Sort of ashamed at the fact that she had allowed her thoughts to wander so aimlessly, and that she was giving up the chance to find out something interesting, she turned back around approaching the two, only to spy her shadow jumping rather suddenly, shifting into a position is should not have been in due to the lighting. She stared at it curiously, her head tilting to the side gently in a rather cat-like display. Her pupils even formed into a slit as she watched the black form twitch every now and then on the ground.

“That’s rather interesting. I hope I’m not intruding, but the sudden flame caught my attention as I was passing by, and the jumping shadow kept it…” she spoke, her voice slightly muffled by the scarf.

Her eyes moved away from the shadow as she glanced up at the two before her, the slits her pupils had formed quickly spreading back out to normal. These two were different, it was rather obvious by the woman’s pale flesh and eyes as well as the reaction her shadow had given. She had heard of various other races that wandered about hiding amongst the humans as she and her people did. But she hadn’t met another before, or rather, she had never met one that had shown themselves, by accident or on purpose.

And what was even more strange is that she met two at once… It worried her in a way, but in another sparked even more curiosity.

The gentle whispers of people glancing from the windows caught her attention however, and she turned looking over her shoulder, the whispers ceasing as they presumed that they had been caught. People were watching them.

“People are so rude here… Listening in, looking for anything different so they have something to tease and ponder about over tea and crumpets the next afternoon,” she spoke the words with an almost sneer resounding in her tone.

Feeling a little nervous and a little worried, she turned and began to walk away, clutching the bag tighter to her chest, causing the buttons from the trench coat to dig gently into her chest. People in her neighborhood already thought there was something wrong with her, and her mother had warned her explicitly, not to let humans know what she was, or even HINT to it. Lest she want things to revert back to the old way of things, where those who were different were executed on sight. It didn’t help that she didn’t take a side in the war.

((NOW AKA MUST POST! WITH A VENGENCE!... Or something of the sort. XD; ))

The house remained silent in response to Zabe's questions, each room and hallway echoing the silence of the one before. Everywhere the house was dark, and seemingly untouched for years. Dust collected on shelves, picture frames, and even floor boards, with the exception of a trail that looked to be used quite often; a trail that lead towards the kitchen. A dim light shone from that general direction and in the blackness of the house, a blacker shape shifted along the floor and rose up a foot or so just before Zabe's feet. Tattered wings took form on either side of the being and it snapped it's sharp mouth.

"A mostly dead bird?" The shadow snarled, that famillar white glow shining deep within it's throat. "You obviously know nothing of necromancy. I'm a free spirit I'll have you know, and I can have whatever form I wish!"

"Stuff it, Crooks." Declan called off at a distance. "You're not a free spirit at all, if I recall." The boy stated mockingly, his voice sounding much closer as he made his way down the hall. He then appeared in the main room where Zabe wandered and gripped him by his forearm. "You should have knocked. I could have freaked out and called the cops, you know? Just BAM! And then I would have had to have said: 'Cheese it, Gabe with a Z, it's the fuzz!'... cos that's what Amercians say... you're very skinny for an American, by the way, but anyway and then where would you have been?" He paused for effect as he dragged him along with him, Crooks billowing around at his feet like fog. "In bloody jail, you biggot. Cripes... maybe I should have made the question a multiple choice."

Declan then released his hold as they arrived into the dimly lit kitchen. Unlike the rest of the rooms in the rather large house, this room was quite well used. In fact, it was the only room that was seemingly used at all. Garbage and rubbish lay strewn about everywhere, and even a place that looked like it might be used for sleeping was tucked away in an open pair of cabinents beneath the sink. Filthy dishes lay about the counters, and wrappes from instant dinners were scattered about all over the place. Though, the thing that took up the most space in the kitchen, were the number of books. Stacks upon stacks were piled from wall to wall with a little path meandering about through the midst of it.

A very large, and ancient looking doberman who had taken on the odd lumpy shape of a would be potato was laying lazily on a pile of pillows just beside the makeshift bed beneath the sink. For a moment it looked like it might have stood, but instead it gave a grunt like it was not worth the effort and instead happily thumped its tail at the arrival of the fallen.

Declan waved a hand vaguely about the room. "Home." He said simply and then added: "And yes... I know what you're thinking: How DO I keep the ladies off of me? I have absolutely no idea! Who could resist his pad?" He stated with a broad joking smile.

Though, then he frowned a little. "But I can't help you... I can't help, Eryk." he repeated, casting Crooks a wary glance as he flowed around his ankles. "...N-not unless..." The young man swallowed and rubbed at the back of his neck. "N-n-not unless there is a very good reason."

"Don't think so, boy." That voice of reason growled again. "You remember what you were told... No more messing with death period. You'll just upset the balance again."

"But Eryk wouldn't ask for no good reason." Declan retorted and looked expectantly to Zabe. He looked almost hopeful.

((hahaha, Declan is speeessshuuuul!))

((Mmmmmm, Vengence posts. The BEST kind. <3))

Zabe, unperturbed by the THING at his feet, flashed a mocking smile at the crow. "I know very little about Necromancy, seeing as how I'll never be able to do it. You're right about that, but I DO know a little about free spirits... And you, my friend, aren't quite that, are you?" His grin simply widened when Declan shouted from somewhere in the house that indeed, that wasn't quite true.

"There you are... Declan-" But Zabe was cut off when the young man grabbed his arm and started berating him for simply walking in. "I'm not sure where you got your american lingo... You're about two centuries out of date... Skinny?" The fallen blinked. "Jail? Been there. Nothing too exciting about it, really, but I didn't mind it either..." As he was pulled into the kitchen, the boy let him go, and he took a look around.

...It was a complete dump. It looked like Declan slept under the cabinets, and all he did was eat instant meals and read very large, old looking books. He then spotted the Doberman and seemed to light up a bit. "Eryk didn't say you had a dog." Zabe lightly tread over to the sink, squatting down so he could scratch the old beast behind the ears. Again, the fallen gave a laugh at Declan's comments and gave a shrug. "You know, I have the same problem. Ladies follow me like... Well, women."

But when Declan's tone turned a bit more serious, Zabriel gave a sigh, "No, you can help him. We both know it, and so does your shadowy little friend, as much as he doesn't want to admit it." His bright, piercing eyes caught Declans, his tone quiet, though stern. "I think there's something bigger than us going on right now, Declan. Eryk skirted about that question when I asked him his reasons... But he DID say that if anyone would help, it'd be you. I don't know the ramifications of what those actions might be, but I have a feeling they'll be nothing compared to what might happen if you don't."

The fallen gave a laugh and plopped onto the floor the rest of the way, his long coat billowing out behind him as he did so. He redoubled his efforts to give the dog a good petting. "Besides, this balance you speak of... It's already shot. Those on the other side just don't want to admit it. They're scrambling to keep it from completely falling apart, but it's a losing battle."

"In any case, my little british friend, answer me this: Would Eryk ask at all if it wasn't important? I don't know him too well myself, but because I can cross over and he can't, he sent me." The fallen paused, a thoughtful look across his face, "I'm sure you're quite familliar with the supernatural... And you knew I wasn't normal from the time of our handshake, but tell me, do you know what it is I really am?" An odd question indeed, but Zabe didn't seem to mind. "I'm sure you know of the other unnatural beings all about the planet, and the war between them. I think it's about that. And if Eryk wants to come back for reasons about that, well, I'd honour his request. If not that, at least contact him."

That said, Zabriel lost his serious facade and glanced about the room. "Do a lot of reading, do you? And if you plan on making any of those meals you just came back with, I want one. Oh, and don't think you're making me leave any time soon. I have an eternity and then some to wait, and believe me, a few years here in the grand scheme of things isn't much of a problem for me."

((Tah dah! It's a bunch of babble... BUT THAT IS WHAT CAME OUT! So there. *nods and skips aboot*))

Vanessa watched the young man calmly as he got excited over her trick. He then called it magic and she gave him a confused face. "I never thought of it as magic...I was kinda just born with it. So I don't know if you'd call it magic, just some power or somethin' ya know?" She smiled slightly as he beemed a toothy grin at her. This guy made her amused, which many weren't capable of doing. Sure Timothy got her laughing or smiling, but that was one person.

"Ultracool?" Before she could ask what he meant his scarf bursted into flame and she quirked a brow, somehow not suprised but curious. She looked to the burnt scarf and then to him. "Heh...looks like you've got a power of your own, eh?" She took his scarf from his neck and replaced it with her own. She then took the gray and black one she owned and put it around Marco's neck. "Here, you're smaller so you need the heat more."

Crystal eyes lifted from her new entertainment and back to the sky, a frown on her face. It was getting darker and colder. She wanted to go to a place to warm up a bit, because now her fingers were feeling the effects of the snow and wind. Putting them in her pockets she walked a bit foward, next to Marco, her boots pushed the slush at her feet. "It's getting colder, you oughta get somewhere warmer, yeah? I was heading to a bar...if you want to join, I can just say I'm watching over you for a bit or something and they'll let you in." She noticed he didn't look the age he probably really was. And somehow she figured he wasn't just as younger than her when she first laid eyes on him.

Licking her chapped lips she started walking in the direction she was before the kid had stopped her. Her breath still made puffs in the air and their shadows finally moved back to their natural spots, however still clinging on Vanessa's feet. It was then a young woman came towards them and spoke up.

Vanessa cringed noticably, as she always did when people spoke to her, and turned back around towards her, clear eyes taking the girl in. She noticed her pupils constricted and dialated. All human's pupils did with light, but not to such an extreme...like a cat.

Although she had spoken to her, Vanessa remained silent, sure Marco would speak up and do something to provoke conversation between the two, in return Vanessa could walk off and hopefully not have to speak up again. She would miss Marco...but generally any people of the same gender as herself made her nerves twitch and her blood rush. She never liked women, since they always had made comments on her appearance or the way she acted.

And she was perfectly fine with keeping it that way.

((Alright...we need something to happen SOON...or I might kill something...someONE really...come on Mizu...get on the ball here. Cause my posts are getting crappier and crappier.))

((Okay... Seriously... Mizu? You created this RP, you supposedly put a bunch of thought into it, and you DID indeed set up something well planned out. THe problem I have right now though, is that you aren't doing SQUAT about it now that you started it! You keep CLAIMING you're going to, you keep saying that you'll have posts up and blah blah, and man, you are COMPLETELY out of your integrity. Now, I know life gets in the way and blah blah, but PLEASE at least TRY to get SOMETHING up if you say you're going to! If you don't get something up, at least let us know what's going on! IT DOESN'T TAKE THAT EFFING LONG! *flaps arms and shouts*

Seriously, this is realyl starting to tick me off. You want dedicated RPers in this, people who will keep it going, but how the heck are we supposed to be expected to do that when the RP's creator is never here? It's a little hypocritical. I'm really getting fed up with this. I HAD TO GET THAT OUT. It's driving me up the wall with all this waiting and broken promises and all that FUN stuff. Blah.

I'm not making excuses, just giving the current situation sweatdrop If he can't work on it, I'll stay up a little longer tonight and I'll have him tell me what he basically wants and I'll type it. I'm feeling teh sicknessss...))

((Jeez... he's been having an amazing amount of situations keeping him from the compy, huh? Though I don't think "he's sleeping" counts for much. I'm not nearly as fed up as Miss Ala, but it is kind of strange...

ANYWAY. Sorry I haven't put up a post for a few days! I'll make sure to do one tomorrow... just assuring you that I've not yet died!))

((Haha, you called me Miss Ala! That's... like... cute... or something. *Squints* I'm in such a weird mood. ZOMG I HAD PAPA JOHNS AND IT WAS SUUUU GOOD, 'cept now I feel kinda sick 'cause I ate the whole thing and then drank a TON of water. Blurghy. Mmmmyes.

Haha, and yeah, there have been a series of stuff that's happened to Mizu to keep him from the computer, but I suppose my problem is that he doesn't SEEM to make an effort to let us know what's going on. Raina found out, but that's because she called HIM, not the other way around... I mean... I KNOW gaia isn't exactly the number one on our lists... Haha, but we're not just WORDS on the page... THERE ARE PEOPLE BEHIND THESE LETTERS YOU ARE READING! *Shakes you all* PEOPLE! So, you know... It's nice to know what the low-down on the situation is...

And I have to work in the morning... (I just got HOME from work, dang it!) so I'm gonna go and sleep now... In my bed... Well, actually on the couch, 'cause it's more comfortable than my bed... Imagine that. O.o Yesh. Sleep. GOOD NIGHT YOU GUYS! *runs off like a chimp being chased by a man-eating DOUNUT*))
