"I'm fine" Shae brushed his hands off her eyes. "My eyes just needed a moment to adjust." She blinked a few times, her pupils shrinking to take in less light. My god, one little peck... and oh no... does he think he's my protector now? What doom hath I wrot?
"I was in the forest today. It happens." She shrugged, looking down at herself. "I'm not that dirty." Chatoya went to pull out a few extra blankets from the closet, and pulled one pillow of her bed. She fixed it up on the floor, and grinned and pointed. "That... is yours." She stuck out her tongue at him, and moved around, pulling out a pair of sweat pants, and a large teeshirt, with a huge band logo emblazoned across the chest.
She threw those in the bathroom, and shuffled around the room, putting piles of folded clothes away. At the end of it, the room was fairly clear, except her boots which stayed at the door in a pile. Shae pickedup Granu's uniform, and handed it to him. "The people cleaned everything earlier today, I think this one is yours, right? anyways... I need to wash some of this dirt off, you sleep." Chatoya dissapeared into the bathroom, and as the door shut behind her, there was a distinctive 'click' opf the door locking. Then the water started running.

Granu put his hands up like he was being arrested again and then he put them in his pockets. I got it. You don't like to be touched. Or atleast given the role of the damnsel in distress. He needed to relax. He is useing his emotions more, now that he knows he is going to be a human. It's been decided. And maybe he can eat too! Taste food again. And become a fatty like his brother! Haha! ((Note: Alar weighs only 20 pounds more than him.)) Life would start to turn around and everything would be beautiful again. Like before she had forgotten. "Oh, I would have never guessed you went there, I thoguht you would have sprung to the church like Alar." He chuckled a bit and thought about his earlier vision. He looked at his new 'bed' and smiled. It was small, but it didn't matter. It was better than the floor itself. "Thank you." The door clicked and she was gone. For some reason, Granu had the erge to snoop.

[to get a better idea of 'woman showers' please look Here!] With the door locked, Shae felt a little more at ease, she started runnign the water to get it really hot, stripeed down, adn 'adjusted' her body in the mirror, making mental notes to start doing more crunches, push ups, and find a new set of better weights. Maybe I'll check if this place has a gym tomorrow... Seeing the steam rise out of the tub, she hopped in and set to work with her louffa and lemon bodywash. This could take some time.

((Omg! Women spend as much time in the shower as I do. XD And I don't take showers though. Bathes are comfier. Although I do things from both sides of the video. But mostly just keep playing with my hair the entire time while the water gets ready or read books. Thanks the video helped. Lmao.))
Granu listened to the water run. He rubbed the uniform admireing their work. Whoever they are the should have gotten a handsome tip. Or atleat that is what Granu would do. He didn't know if he should change into it or wait til tommorrow. But etheir way...it was here and he was here. For the most part, she is here. You should be at the church right now. I'll come later, alright? I have a little investigation to take care of. And don't get into any trouble, okay? Not that he was worried. Just in case. Plus, who could he possibley talk to this late at night outside a church?

[I laugh because that's exactly how i shower too... only i have time svaing techniques! multitasking! :O]
Sha efinished up in the shower, and stepping out onto the small bathmat, dried herself off with a large fluffy towel. She dressed quickly in her pjs. the large teeshirt swamped her body to nearly her knees, and then she put on the sweat pants for good measure. Flicking the switch to start the fan in the washroom, Shae dried off her feet, and stepped out into the carpeted bedroom quietly.
She wasn't sure if Granu had heard her, so she continued sneaking across the room to her bed. Slipping almost noiselessly into her bed, Chatoya pulled out her manicure kit, and started sharpening her nails. "A-HEM" She cleared her throat loudly.

"GAH!" Granu jumped hearing her. He could see her expression, the pissed off look that symbolized that you have two seconds to do things my way or I'm chopping off any part that goes to good use, even if he has his back turned to her. "Sorry...curiousity got the better of me." He said in a low voice. Well she was bond to come out anytime, I mean, girls take a long time to shower. Besides Alar, of course. But who could keep track of time when your too busy singing people to death? He turned to face her, she was sharpening her nails. They weren't in as good of shape as he once thoghut, but then again who looks at girls nails? They were short, but they weren't dull. "Do you think it's alright still, that I stay here?" He said lightly to make a conversation starter. Probably sharp enough to cut through flesh.

"Only if you pass me that book." Chatoya said lightly, pointing to a rather thick paperback on the desk across the room, and grinning slightly. "I plan on finishing it soon, so I need to put in my reading time." She wriggled down and made herself a little more comfortable in the blankets.
As an after thought, she added "And open the window. I want some air in here. And don't keep me up too late tonight. Oh.. or did you mean 'is it alright with the authorities?'" She asked with a bemused smile. Filing the edges of her nails so they were a little narrowed, she nitpicked at them a bit, expecting no less than perfection.
"Of course not, but I don't see another option here right now..." It's not like I want someone to keep me company, right?. "so they can go whine about it to someone who cares." she finished with aplomb.

Granu looked to his right and saw a white book, that gave off the look of being burnt, with no title on the outside. He stared at it for a moment and pick it up, struggleing to hold it. Since it had so many damn pages in it. 2000? 3000? Is that even possible? He didn't know but it sure weighed alot. "This one?" He asked a little surprized she actually is makeing him do something. Before she could answer he laid it right beside here and looked back. He didn't see anymore books, but then again he wasn't looking that hard. After giveing her the book he quickly stepped to the window and cracked it open. "Is that far enough, or more?" He was absentminded when she asked him something, the only thing he could think about at the moment was the surprise said before. Was she going to go with the deal told a while back? Or is she the one that is absentminded? Etheir way, he liked the new feeling. He sat on the blankets she left out for him. "You can read?"

[she's not that absent minded, she's just bossy.]
"Yeah, My mom taught me..." She said, trailing off. "We were homeschooled." She smiled, and placed the book on the night stand next to her. Shae pulled her knees up to her chin under the blankets, and rested her head on it's side on them. Wrapping her arms around her legs, she looked at him sideways. "Can't you?" The girl asked, looking slightly concerned. Reading was such a nice escape... She was currently reading a story (a really good one) about a family and.. It was too hard to summarise, but it was GOOD and the sigil for their house was a direwolf.
Anything wolfy couldn't be bad... or so she hoped.

"I can read a little, I didn't go to school, before now. All I did all day was stay home or go outside for a little bit." A little bit? Now that was an understatment. "I taught myself how to read...but there are so many words i still did't know. I mean, I know them, I just...don't know how they look on paper." He paused again and moved into a laying position. It wasn't likely that he knew what they looked like since he had only seen book covers and not books themselves. He wondered how is was so hard to match the sound of it with the spelling. Maybe he was just too afraid to be wrong. In etheir situation he couldn't read, unless it was easy, like I. He wondered if she believed him. "I mean, I looked at your calender in the bathroom, but I couldn't read what it said. I just sorta...stared for a while."

"Oh... OH" She started for a minute, and froze, wondering how much he had figured out... Hearing him say he had only looked and not read, was a bit of a relief. "Well uh... It's not written in english anyways. And all my own notes are written in just symbols that make sense only to me..." She laughed nervously, scratching the back of her head.
"To be honest, I'm only good at reading because I wanted to be. You can't teach anyone anything, if some part of them does not want to learn it." she smiled gently, and craned her head over the edge of the bed to look down at him. "If you'd like, I can get out some of my older books. they have larger print, and if yo ucome across a word you dont know, you can just ask me." She offered the idea, not sure of why.

"Oh." He thought for a second what type of people have their own language. He wasn't letting his investigation. He could think of a few. Angels, Elves, and don't vampires have their own language too? He questioned. Elves have slightly pointed ears and angels have wings so BAM! Like he thought before. Vampire! He was going to find out eventually, anyway. He stopped thinking for a moment and slapped his head. YOU DOPE! Anything can have their own language! Religion, location, and even she could have made up her own secret code! He shook his head. He wasn't getting ANY closer. He was getting farther away, he had to ask...But he didn't want to seem rude. "Oh, uhhhh...thank you! That would be great!" He lied. He did want to learn, but he didn't want to screw up. He looked at the books from the direction her eyes were pointing and took a book from the pile. He opened the book and skipped the table of contents and the everything else in the front. He couldn't even read the title. He looked at the letters and said them how they sounded in the alaphabet. "T-tee. H-atch-E-ee" He stopped for a moment to double check if those were the right letters. He nodded and smiled. "I think I got it! Teactee!"

"Huh?" Shae leaned down, and took a good look at the book he was holding. Her copy of 'Animal Farm' Misleading title.. She raised one ewebrow, and looked at the word he was reading. "That's 'the'" She deadpanned a bit, but took pity. Sliding off her bed, she sat down next to him, and pointed to the T and the H. "Good effort, but you forgot one of the rules. When these two are together, they make a 'thh' sound." She grinned.
Tucking as much of her hair behind her ears as would fit, Shae left her book sitting on the nightstand, and began teaching him, as best she could, trying to imitate the way her mother had acted. "Try the next one." She encouraged him.

"Really? Oh, I-I-I knew that I was just checking to see if you knew..." He looked away for a moment to blush. How could he be so stupid? 'The' isn't spelt T-U-H. T-H-E...the...he didn't understand but he looked back at the book and tried the next word, just as she told him to. He didn't want to try again. He didn't want her pity. He was getting nervous so he slumped into the covers slightly as he tried to say the next word. "C-cee-O-oh-W-dabayu" He didn't want to try that one. It was too hard. He much rather have her read it to him. He seemed so much like a child, but there was so much he didn't know in the first place. But that is what you get when your kept locked up in the attic half of your life. You lose hope. "Codubayu?" He looked back at her waiting for approval.

"Alright, you got the first half of it right, but you jumbled that last letter. When it's a consonant, like a 'w', you actually don;t pronounce the letter entirely by it's name, just the sound, so that's actually a 'wuh' sound on the end there. Sow that's 'cow'?" she smiled at him. "And you've got a knack for this, i can tell. Just don't give up."
Shae settled down beside him, over the covers, moving onto the next word. "Try again, you just need to get into the patterns." When I stumbled with words, what would Mum do? Give me a kiss and tell me to try again... well, that's... uhuh..... Thinking for a moment, Shae put one arm around his shoulders, and gave a squeeze of reassurement.
