The figure grins and looks a bit closer, while pulling a stump or pile of leaves to sit upon underneath him. His sleep could wait if there was to be a show. The dark hawk flapped its wing once and settled down.
"Glad that you got to eat as well, Ebon."
The figure bites again into the fruit staring hard at the figures on rooftop.

Topaz looks deeply, using his darkvision in conjunction with the fading light to glance through the obstuctions of the woods, but more importantly, as Ebon preens himself, he delves into the recesses of the many stories about natural creatures he had heard and comares these entities with those stories to find any and all matches. ((knowledge nature=+4)) His anticipation grows with the study of these creatures. A corner of his mouth rises as the wind forces Ebon to adjust. The third bite on the fruit is taken sharply.

The are as silent as the darkness itself. and pay not attention to you although one dose see you but truns away. Almost driven by some other force.
And one by one they hide. Dissaperaing into the shadows them sleves. But you sense that they are still there.

The bone and leather covered man pulls a small journal out of the recesses of his sack. He tears a pit from his fruit open and dips a strait stick into the sappy center. He begins taking some notes on these creatures, noting them as unnatural:
Creature is not of average type or a common species of this place. Seem skittish and abnormal with a canine approach to their demenor. They hav an uncanny ability for stealth. Orange pulsing stripe down one side
He then sketches a horribly rough sketch ((taking 5, making it 5)) and replaces the journal in his sack, begining to gnaw on a second fruit.
"Keep to the trees Ebon, your freind Erol here will be fine."
With this break in the low rumble of the town, Erol listens closly (+4 to listen). Ebon, meanwhile nods in a sort of understanding, not of the words, but predetermined hand gestures. The large hawk sits perched upon a high branch in a tall pine, begining to settle for a rest.

Erol keeps his ears to the slight breeze, listening for anything that might indicate anything of use about the creatures or their purpose. If he could gather enough information, perhapse he could write something more or at least report their existance and follow up with some storyteller for study.
