Aryn stared back into the others eyes, un flinching. Giving him the most honest gaze he could, one that showed he would try his best to explain. He himself had alot on his mind but still.

"I can at times hate them, because when we do keep secrects buried so deep it hurts not only our selves but those we want to care about." He paused to take an intake of the cold air.

"But believe me, sometimes even when it doesn't seem logical it means more than your realise." His heart gave a small thud in his chest, it was a painful grip of emotion that he chose to set aside. It wasn't him he was worried for.

He contuined to look into the other eyes wondering in all honest why had suddenly everything he'd sought to burry alive was digging it's way upwards.

"I can tell you this much, I never thought I'd ever meet some one who could make me smile again." Even if it was akward for him he admited it out loud.

James sighed. He wasnt sure anymore of what he should do. He still wasnt sure why he was here.. still here. Being with Aryn did indeed make him feel.. something he had never felt before. It also made him feel darker, and colder than he had felt in a long while. Something was eating him.. something from his past was eating at his very mind and soul still. While normally he kept it hidden from others he somehow felt like that control was losing its grip. He looked to Aryn and felt faint. He thought to himself how much he had eaten or slept withen the past few days then chuckled to himself.

"Aryn.. would you mind if someone kept a secret from you? Someone like me?"

Aryn watched closely the other and wondered silently what ate at the other so deeply, and consumed him so completely. It almost worried him it would eat him alive but he also knew the answer to his question with all honesty.

"I can understand some one keeping a secret, I'd want to know so I can help if I can. But yes, if you feel it must stay quiet then I am fine with that."

He removed the jacket he'd brought with him at that point and set it across James shoulders. The cold didnt effect him most likely nearly as much as the other. "If you want to go back, I can get you there alot faster." A faint trace of a smile tugged at his lips. It ment changing into his Fox, but he didn't mind. Aryn could see fairly clearly that James was beside confused, tired.

James finally smiled again.. though even weaker than before. He smelt the night air and enjoyed the slight warmth of Aryns coat over him. "Thanks.. Aryn. That means a lot to me you know. Its amazing what a few words can do when said the right way I guess...." He continued flicking his tail around, now hitting Aryn against his shin. He thought to himself a bit.. wondering what to decide.

"Aryn.. you asked me to come with you here right? We arent actually near enough to see the waterfall... why not actually go there?" He flinched saying that. Part of him didnt want to go further.. it wanted to go home. The other part of him didnt want to dissapoint Aryn... and also wanted to stand for itself for once.

He tilted his head slightly in consideration. "Alright, we'll walk alittle further in. I'll promise you this, when we head back I'm thinking I know a faster route back."

He offered out his hand as the walked alittle deeper into the woods. He could still sense James fear, Aryn wondered what it was that had him upset. He also gave the anthro credit for being strong and still willing to come though.

When at last the sight came into full veiw when the moved away from a large oaken tree it was...Amazing really. It was built right into a mountain, and boy was the fall huge. It poured into a small river that ran past them and into the reaches of the forest. A small trail would lead upwards to walk across a bridge so one could stand infront of the waterfall, and while at the current moment it wouldnt be wise feel the mist spray of the water.

James thought about what Aryn meant by "a faster way back". He then decided he shouldnt worry about something as trivial as then and started to follow behind once again. Coming up the the clearing he shivered seeing the large, beautiful waterfall crashing down on the rocks below. He stepped closer behind Aryn and refused to walk any further. He knew the reason he felt... a bit scared was his own reasons.. reasons that he had yet to actually openly tell people. Spike knew a bit of it but not the whole truth.

"So... this is it? For something so wonderful.. I wonder why not many people know about it."

Aryn stared at it for a moment in silence. "Not sure, I know I use to come here alot. I set time aside to think here. Who knows, maybe people do come here. Then again everytime I'm here I never can sense any one." In truth this was the spot Fayt, Faolan and the others had found him. It was a private sancutary in the were's mind.

"Legend has it, if one can get behind the falls theres a series of pathways that lead deep underground. I've never tried looking but I've always woundered. Some say something sealed down there." He stared at the roarng falls in silent wonder.

"And if your wondering about what I ment," Aryn added with a small sheepish smile. "I was thinking I'd either get us back via with my Fox's form or transfer energy so you can run like a were." He turned his head to look over his shoulder at James.

"I find it amusing that nature.. worries me. Actually a lot of things worry me..." He snuggled deeper into Aryns coat then sat down in the cold, wet grass. It being near winter, a few weeks from now the water would most likely be completly frozen. Right now it was probably just cold enough to kill you if you were in it long enough. He lifted his head up to look at Aryn again. "Something down there? Heh ... if you were curious enough to believe that story then wouldnt you have gone looking by now? A myth is just that.. a myth. I refuse to believe anything without proof.. or without at least seeing it with my own eyes."

He shivered once more and found himself amused just by the condensation from his breath hitting the cold air. "My my... a fox with that ability. Mostly you hear of just the wolves. Still.. I'll be fine enough to walk if you just offered that thinking I was in any way hindered."

"Not feel to bad, I have a phobia of tightly enclosed places." He whinced at the memory of being stuck in a room for two weeks on end without sunshine or anything but pitch blackness. Shaking the idea he watched James for a moment more until he shifted his eyes.

Aryn's gazed lingered now on the falls and the vague outline of the cave beyond. True, if he'd been so intrested in the myth why handn't he even bothered? Who knew, in all honesty he promised the small voice in the back of his mind, he'd investigate come next spring, or maybe before the water froze to ice. In his mind a small sensation made his scalp itch, he shruged it off and looked down at the squrriel.

"I didn't mean to imply you where." he gave James a small sheepish grin. "I'm fine with walking as well." He crouched down to balance on the balls of his feet beside James.

James chuckled then reached over to mess with Aryns fluffy tail. "That isnt a bad thing in my opinion. I hate being near too many people at once.. we all have our little worries." Seeing Aryn wince a bit he then tugged a bit on the tail, motioning Aryn to sit down next to him.

He then went back to staring at the waterfall, thinking about what was said. He wondered for a bit.. what might happen next. It was now late at night actually. "Aryn... perhaps do you want to come back here one day and see if anything really is back there perhaps? I wouldnt mind.. I guess. Perhaps its not so bad knowing someone is there to be at your side.

He then leane back, now resting onto the cold grass. He thought about a few things, some he waS about to shoot himself for thinking about. Still.. he still felt about as weird as he had been all night... but he at least knew not to fear the feeling he had. In fact.. he would give anything for it never to leave.

Smiling openly Aryn watched as James leaned back. In that small moment he knew that being hear and now with him ment alot, more that alot in his life had ment it almost seemed. Being there with him ment a great deal, as to how much he was slowly disiding it for fact.

He tried not to giggle really as his tail was being played with, and as James finally layed on the wet grass he gave into the temptation and layed himself down beside the other.

He tretched his arm out for James to lay his own head on the give arm. It could be noted he never bothered to cover his scars even once, with James why bother?

"I'd like that to be honest. I always hear such strang rumors of a person living there. But who'd live in a fall cave said to be a laybrinth?" He smiled at James comment. "Yea, it would be great knowing you'd be there." Aryn gave a breif wink with the eye that was lighter than the other due to the scaring.

His own mind was racing it seemed, in various directions and ideas. He could forcus them if he really tried but the werefox prefered to play also with James bushy tail that flicked on occasion. Was this what being happy was he wondered.

While the memories of his past where rigth there like a bad dream they wernt the first thing in his mind. Aryn shook his head, James made him realise he'd be afraid to lose the squirriel.

He made a silent vow to always protect the other, regardless of his own self. It was a silent pact he and his Fox made together.

James wondered what type of person would seal himself away from the world.. away from everything. He knew for a fact he had come close to killing himself many years ago... he never had an urge to just seal himself away though. It was either die in the shame he lived so much of or to keep on, no matter what came his way. Thankfully for his sake Spike found him, drunk and with a gun.

He trembled thinking about himself even more. He always had wondered what there was after death and if it was a mistake having not done himself in that day. Still.. looking at his new friend he at least felt there was more than just Spike and Lupin to live for. It made him a little happier, to know someone else was there.

He blushed actually, while resting his head on Aryns arm. For someone sp put on making sure everything is in order and explained for, he cound put nothing for what was going on.

"Hmm... Labyrinths are amusing to me. Mazes, puzzles, they all have some way to win..."

Aryn wondered similar thoughts, what would indeed drive a person to live alone unless they were forced to? He shook his head at the idea, but it wouldnt leave his mind. People always said it was a rumor, but rumors always began from some form of truth did they not?

Suddenly he knew for certain he saw something it moved quickly when the fox focoused his gaze onto the waterfall. It was an outline (haha be warned an oc I thought of awhile back .___@) Who ever the hell it was, appeared to be young, at least not as old as Aryn's own age. He frowend or was he imagining things? He wasnt sure at all.

He turned at last to James, sensing again his discomfort and before he could stop himself drew the other into an embrace with his free arm to offer his comfort to James. While he didn't know what had James mood as it was he would be there for him regardless.

"Yes..Labyrinths are unquie... But i wonder" he frowned hard staring at the falls and at last shook it off for an uneasy feeling.

He couldnt understand the two who'd been talking that well, he never could when people spoke. It wasn't that he was unitelligent he just lacked the teaching of actually verbal communication. Instead he got by with what ever suited him, weather it was gestures or grunts. Anything really, but actually language? it was forgin to him over all. After the silver haired one had notice him he darted far back into his "Cave" to hid. He curled on the soft blanket and curled under it. The boy was roughly 15 or 16, hair massiliy over grown and about to the small of his back was worn lose. After his mama had died he'd spent the rest of his days living in the series of pathways and chanlles only going out to hunt for his prey.

Seeing the people had been terrfing for the feral wolf, his dark grey eyes pressed backwards why the hell where the in his territory he said in his own verison of langague making the formal hand gestures that made no sense to any one he'd ever dared show. One ear had a peice missing, having been bitten and long since healed long ago. His tail wasn't thick and full, more sraggly like and hung limp from grease, much like his hair from not being washed in days. He had been going to only to find the strangers.

James flickes his tail and stood up, being startles a bit. He had seen movement from behind the water as well but was wondering if he might just be seeing things. He was awfully tired and was beginning to not be able to function probably, much less talk. He stretched and yawned, grabbing onto Aryn as he almost stumbled on his a**.

"Oh dear.. sleep... my pillow beckons to me a believe..."

He rolled up Aryns coat and checked his watch, realizing it was much later than he thought it was. It was almost 4am. Considering in another 2 hours it would be officially 24 hours James was one of the concious, sleep might be something for him to have.

"Aryn.. perhaps I am incapable of walking back after all. WOuld you care to help me?"

Aryn watched the other stumble and held him up long enough to be supported against a tree. "I'll carry you back, one moment." The werefox said as he sliped just out of sight to undress so he'd actually have something to change into when he got back to the house.

He was acustomed to the Fox that resideded within his body, and without struggle once more embraced the animal within. Artic white fur that had hints of black covered his body, and a fairly smooth fashion even with the re-arangment of bones. The now lengthed fox muzzle snatched up the bundle of clothing Aryn had previously piled so he could carry them.

While not as large as any wear wolf, the werefox was still impresive none the less. With a grin uncanny to the animals features he lightly nosed at James as he nearly fell over once more dispite clinging to the tree.
"Climb on, I'll get you back as soon as I can." He artculated well, making clear what he asked. Aryn knew it was late and felt his own distictive wearyness.
