Tuk huffed more, flurrying his hair on his head a bit. So bored....nothing to do. He looke d down and noticed Kicheko. He watched her silently, taking her in. She was oodly patterened. Strange markings, red eyes....interesting. Maybe he'd follow her around for a while. Nothing better to do.

Taabadu sighed. It truly was no use. Sure he could explain the whole ordeal of how he ended up in this unlikely place, but would they even care? Taabadu breathed hardly, ribs poking out his sides. So here were his choices:
1.) Get eaten alive by hyenas 2.) Die in the desert from whence he came after getting lost
Either way, it wasn't going to be pleasant. After of few seconds of contemplating, he decided to just suffer the quick death by the hyenas. He had heard so many horrible stories these creatures and their land. Ears still plastered back, he rose, tail between his legs to respond to the quivering little hyena.
"I..uh...I would li-listen to Banzai, cept I don't know how to get h-home, and I'm waaay to hungry to walk. S-so maybe you could just fi-finish me off in t-the birdie boiler." Taabadu found himself stuttering as well under the fiercesome, frothing, beast called Banzai. These hyenas were hard to understand as well, their dialect seemed completly different than from the one back home. Taabadu thought of the shame he was dealing with right now. First he asked a hyena for help, then he admitted he was lost, then he showed how scared he was, not to mention he was the most pathetic thing he had ever seen. His fur had clumps of dirt stuck to it along with the ocassional bloody scratch to top it all off. He just stared into the small hyena's face, because at least she was as scared as he was right now, and he found comfort in that.

Mafa losened up a bit, she saw that this cub was no more scared than she was. Her head rose and tilted to the side. What was he afraid of? Surely not Banzai! Why, Banzai was the nicest hyena she had ever met! She chuckled as the cub stuttered something about a birdie boiler, they didn't have those around here.... Did they? She shook her head and grinned a bit, no longer fearing this pitiful cub. Her green eyes peered up at Banzai sweetly,
"Lets take him with us! Just lookit him, he's a wreck!" Her eyes then shifted to the cub, "He can be my little pet!"
She laughed shrilly at her last comment, ever since she started following Banzai around, she found that her laughs just kept getting better and better. She grinned at Banzai,
"Whaddaya say?"

"WHAT!?"
Banzai almost felt himself faint as the little people began to gang up on him. There was no way he was about to tag along a LION when he wouldn't allow any other hyenas. She was just a tad dense... She was the one who was so afraid of lions. Why did she want one with them.
"Forget it, kid. We're out of here. Come on." He reached down to pick her up with his teeth yet again and begin carrying her towards their possible destination, only to catch her eyes before he caught her neck. Something odd behind those eyes... Pity? Was this what he was seeing? And not just seeing, but feeling? He growled. On his own, he began walking off, leaving Mafa and the lion cub(Whose name he hadn't bothered to learn) behind him. He knew Mafa would begin following, and if not he would just pick her up. However, feeling cocky in himself, he ventured one challenge.
"Ok, if you can give me one good reason why we should bring Fuzzwald with us, then he can come. And none of that 'Because I feel sorry for him!' crap."

Taabadu eyed the retreating Hyena carefully. Pssh, fuzzwad. He scoffed at this nickname. If only his stupid brother hadn't got in a fight with him.... But no, dad always sided with brother. Taabadu stood, forcing a flinch out of Mafa. He then walked a little to the left and watched her head follow him closely, he walked to the right, and still her little head followed. He caught a glimpse of her tail. Not much of a tail he had to say, but the little black tuft raced quickly back and forth. He turned his head in confusion. Hyenas were so hard to understand, but maybe if he acted like them, they would be more willing to help. So he wagged his skinny tail back and forth, the end tuft rustling. It was hard! How did they do it so fast? He heard a strange noise come from Mafa.
"Umm, my name is Taabadu! Nice..to....meet you?" She didn't look like she comprehended very well, but it was up to her whether he would live or die, so he had to at least make an attempt to socialize.

Mafa took a few steps behind Banzai, wanting to follow him but not wanting to leave this lion cub on his own. She sighed and looked back at him, he reminded her of herself, all alone and stuff. Mafa snorted in a giggle as she saw the cub wag his tail. She turned her head and looked over her shoulder at Banzai with a big grin on her maw,
"Lookit him Banzai, he wags! And with a name like Fuzzwald how can he not come along?"
Mafa was still giggling, Fuzzwald, she was never going to drop that. Her own tail sped up in its wagging and she grinned at the cub,
"Fuzzwald? Cool name..." She lowered her voice a bit, " Just keep quiet and look stupid and maybe he'll let you come along..."
She had obviously not heard the cub introduce himself earlier, so Fuzzwald it was for the time being. Her bright eyes darted to Banzai, wait for his approval.

The hyena's ears began to droop. Bloody pup... He wasn't going to get his meat, was he? If he brought back a pup that was angry at him, he was just going to get kicked or growled at. There wouldn't be any meal for him. It would be that stupid lions fault... Whiney brat. He quickly thought up a proposition and turned his paws on the dead earth to face both of them.
"He can come, but I have no food for him. He can't make a single noise and if he does, you can bet it will be CATastrophic." The adult brought his nose up to Taaba's face, giving it one quick sniff. Ew... That wasn't exactly the best fragrence. Breathing outward quickly, he made a snuffing noise, causing the cub's hair to fly up.
He turned his back again to them and started heading off in the direction he'd been anticipating on heading. "Remember, kid, I don't want to even know you exist."

Mafa followed Banzai's example and sniffed the cub. Ugh! He was right, the thing reeked. Her face bunched up at the smell, if he hung around long enough, it would fade sooner or later. Her head whipped to Banzai a big grin on her maw and then slowly turned to the cub and whispered,
"Fuzzwald, I don't know if you understand, buuuut, you haffa be quieeettt! When you don't smell so bad and when Banzai gets used to you, everything will be fine."
She smiled and turned towards Banzai again,
"Wait fur mee!"
She ponced off after him, hoping the cub would follow quietly.

Taabadu picked up a few words here and there. He just nodded slightly and followed the little hyena, never taking his watery eyes off the black tuft that was her tail. He did pick up the word "quiet" so he put his soft paw pads to good use, making sure each bone was sturdy enough to stand on. And why were these hyenas making strange faces when they sniffed him? They didn't smell to jolly themselves. Taabadu started to get nervous as he followed the two predetors. The bone structures were getting bigger, and the high pitched laughs became louder....

Meanwhile, the red eyed pup still continued to think to herself and sulk as she paced back and forth. Her paws had grown a bit dusty from all the dirt she had been kicking up. Yet Kicheko grew tired of pacing. The pup stopped for a moment and looked around at her surroundings.
There was an elephant skull behind her, a large tusk jutting out of the ground next to her, a pile of bones on the other side of her, and a small clearing with some dying plants curled upon the ground. Deciding to retreat to the most comfortable choice of them all, she padded slowly over to the clearing and lay her form down. As her body's weight crushed the dead plants beneath her, a small krinkling could be heard as the dry leaves crunched like an egg shell.
Though her body was at rest finally, her mind was thinking about a million things. She lowered her lids, hoping possibly to take a nap, though the thoughts of the group she had just met kept springing into her mind. Kicheko whined again as she attempted to sort out the issue in her head from her new thinking spot.

Our resident el capitan of the Hyenas was currently finding herself comfortably reclined inside the main underground cavern herself and her 'pals' tended to hang out in. Wafting fumes from hot gyesers gave the place an errie, ethreal appearance.
She loved it.
However, lately she'd been doing her best to keep away from the others. Her 'disappearance' one might call it, which was rather unnanounced. Of course, she doubted Ed or Banzai even noticed... "Stupid grunts should be searching for me right now..." she muttered, bottom lip presiding over her upper one.
Truth was, she'd been hiding away ever since that little female hyena had shown up. However, it wasn't Mafa's fault.. "Lowly little carcass fodder.."
Ah, well, it wasn't her fault...but Shenzi might say otherwise. Either way, ever since then, she'd felt a bit of sickness come over herself. She didn't want the others to know though, for how embarassing would that be? The great Shenzi, taken down by some dumb flu?
Huffing, she peered through blearier eyes then normal at the ceiling above, wondering if...maybe..just maybe, Ed or Banzai would come looking for her.
Not that she cared. Really.

Banzai grumbled to himself. Rotten fleabag lion... Maybe he should kill it. He had absolutely no plans of feeding it. It was hard enough to find food for himself, and another mouth wasn't what he was looking for.
Another problem was the fact that he had no leads to where Mafa's clan could be. For all he knew, they had lived on the edge of the graveyard. The pup wasn't much help. She didn't remember anything about the location of them. Maybe the more they traveled the more familiar places they would pass and her memory would be jogged. Maybe they would come across an endless field of carcasses, and there would be no need to find her parents because he'd have all the food he could ever eat, and the cub wouldn't complain. And maybe he was using REALLY wishful thinking.
Over another pile of bones he trotted. He didn't listen to see if they were following, nor did he turn around. If they weren't, he'd know soon enough because her annoying yet adorable voice would completely vanish. Then he could begin his search for Shenzi. It wasn't unusual for Ed to wander off, and he almost always came back. But he would be no good looking for Ed alone. It was Shenzi he seemed to bother more, therefore providing her with the location of all his favorite things, like bugs and rocks and... bugs on rocks. He shook his head slowly to himself, unknowingly slowing down his pace.

Mafa's short legs had to move quite fast in order to keep up with Banzai. She was panting quite heavily at the time she slowed. She didn't care that she lost sight of Banzai, she could smell him near by and that's what counted most. She turned to look at the lion cub not too far behind her. He was even slower than she. She waited up for him and then started walking slowly once again,
"Soooo, Fuzz, where ya from? Cuz I'm from here and Banzai and I are looking for my pack! And once we find them you can come live with me and my mom, I'm sure Banzai will ditch us after that though.... i'll miss 'im..."
Mafa rambled on as she walked, she didn't like the silence of the graveyard all that much. She looked ahead and was quite relieved to see that she could spot Banzai, he had obviously stopped. She grinned and trotted up to him, hoping that they were taking a break,
"Man Banzai, you walk fast, my paws hurt!"

Awww, little baby needed a break... In a very familiar gesture, Banzai plopped his rear down. However, he unsuspectingly landed on a rib jutting from the ground... His teeth clenched together tightly. If he were to howl out, his figure of authority would be lost. ...Like he had one. No holding back now, Banzai leapt into the air, his paws clenching onto his butt. A shrill screech echoed through the graveyard.
When he landed, he was lucky enough to have changed position to a smoother piece of land (For no patch of dirt in the graveyard was perfectly smooth). Stretching his paws infront of him, he began pulling himself around in a circle in order to ease the pain that stabbed into his rectum. When he felt it had subsided enough, he shook himself off and his look of pain was replaced with twitching anger.
Mafa was the victim of this look. "Don't. Say. Anything." Seating himself again- and this time looking before he sat- his tone changed and he glanced back to make sure that the lion cub was there. Yep. He glanced around the wasteland to see where they were. This was his favorite picnic spot, coincidentally. Staring out at a large femur bone, he spoke not so obviously to Mafa.
"Alright, tell me. Does any of this look familiar? Would you be able to tell me where you came from from here?"
