Rayi starts to answer Beriadi's question with a joke, but is interrupted by K'makin's arrival. She raises an eyebrow at him, then turns back to the Weyrwoman. "I was talking about the dragons, of course. You know I have a thing for the Browns; the riders are just baggage."

Beriadi bows to Kya, "congradulations on the fine Hatchlings K'makin, We were simply discussing Ray's prefrence for Browns, dragons and riders."

Kya glares at Rayi for her baggage remark. He takes a quick sip from his mug, then replies to Beriadi's compliment. "Well, Nakoreth did all the real work," he admits. "I just sort of stood around and then ... ah ... enjoyed the benefits?" He grins wickedly.

((Kya, you are so dead.))
Ray throws a meatroll at K'makin for his reference to Wrath's flight. "I think I might just swear off browns, if this is the kind of rider they choose," she grumbles. "Maybe find me a nice bronze. They are ever so much larger, after all."

K'makin raises his free hand to fend off the flying meatroll. It hits him in the chest and bounces off, narrowly missing his mug of klah. "Hey, now, size isn't everything. Skill counts for a lot. Technique, even. Experience!"

Beriadi laughs, "Yes, Bronzes seem to be larger than browns, I would say I'd loan you I'rus and Dyanith but Netesath wouldn't like that." They are -ours-

"I wouldn't want Netesath to be angry at us," Ray tells Beriadi. "I'll just have to snag someone else. Though..." she pauses a moment, grinning evilly, "I wasn't just talking about the size of the dragons."

Kya groans. "Please please don't bring up that old one about the size of the dragon reflecting the size of his rider's ... well..." he hides his face in his klah mug. When he's recovered, he tries again. "Anyhow, why isn't there a corresponding one for the ladies?"

Beriadi eyes K'makin, "yes, I would have to agree with the larger statement," she grins and teases, "and bronzes arn't so lazy."

Ray snorts. "He was pretty lazy in catching Wrath, however, hitching a ride in the slipstream of a bronze, and then faking a strained muscle."
