Hestia consider, head tipped to the side. She nods, briefly. "Very good, then," She says, after a period of time, seeming to accept the words and the meaning behind them. "Stay still," She adds, a bit crossly. "This won't hurt." She closes her eyes, breathing deeply.
For awhile, nothing happens. Then a soft wind picks up, delicately playing over the sand and making it swirl in little eddys and pools, gathering around Hestia and then around Kimondo. Brief seconds pass before Hestia opens her eyes again, studying her handywork. That wasn't difficult to do...especially considering that it was merely an illusion, rather than changing Kimondo altogether. In Kimdono's place now stands a lioness; with the stocky, somewhat ruff look of the Firekin. She has an extremely dark red pelt, with softer undertones, but the same blue eyes of Kimondo, and a dark black tailtuft.
"There," The bird grunts, ruffling her feathers. "All done. Now - your name is no longer Kimondo. It is Kinja, which means firebrand. Before Makadari's time, there was a coalition of three males - Makadari's father, and two other lions...Moto and Uteketevu. You'll be Moto's daughter...and your mother is Ungua, Uteketevu's daughter. Get the bloodlines right, Makadari's no fool - you won't be accepted into the pride unless they really believe your a long-lost pride member. Your mother disappeared when she was an adolescent - we'll suppose she was pregnant with you at the time. You've heard stories and wish to be welcomed back into the pride, and beg that your mother's tainted blood won't wash away on your own...for she left the pride, and they may see that as treason. Be polite and proud, but not too prideful, especially around the older members."

Kimondo looked at herself, quite amazed at what she now saw. She wasn't the elegant lioness of the pridelands, but one that looked as if she had lived many years in the desert. As the sparrowhawk spoke to her and gave her her new name and information about her bloodlines she made sure to memorize it all if she wanted to pull this off. She just hoped she didn't mess it up somehow, she doubted she would live long enough to get anywhere near the prideland boarders if she did. "Thank you." She muttered to Hestia.
Now, all she had to do was make her way to the Firekin pride, only problem was she had no idea where they were at. She didn't even know where to begin. "Where can I find the pride at? I don't know my way around this desert so I am of no use when it comes to navigating it." She hoped that she wouldn't have to stray far from the pride if accepted in. She wasn't sure she would be able to find her way back there if she did.

The sparrowhawk isn't listening to the thanks...she's already launched herself off into the air, where she feels more comfortable. In swoops and dives, she wheels above the wine-red lioness, a black, brown, and white speck. Her call comes back to Kimondo as she makes a jabbing gesture with her beak off to the northeast. "Over yon lies the pridal cavern. Keep going, and try not to get lost!"
That said, Hestia disappears, zooming away towards the horizon.

Makadari stood over the pathetic form of the beaten lion, who had the sense to stay where he'd fallen. Taking pleasure in the sight of blood once again marring the pelt of Kitwana, the King rose and began pacing circles around the form of the slave without tire. Where have you been all day? he asked in a cold voice, surprisingly calm and collected. Yet those who knew him knew that his calmness didn't mean that he had any intention of holding back... if anything, it meant that he was even more dangerous than normal. Unsheathed claws dug into the soft sand, leaving clawed prints where he'd treaded, almost as a reminder, a warning, to the fallen slave. I expected you back hours ago.
It didn't really matter what the adolescent's answer was; Makadari didn't care. He was using this as an excuse to take his anger of Jua out on Kitwana, yet if he'd had any idea what Kitwana had been doing out in the desert with Jua's tiny cubs, the King would probably not spare the slave's life.
((I'm not really certain what Makadari told Kitwana to do... what did he send Kitwana out to search for Jua for?))

the little cub had made quite some ground, and he managed just to stay out of the vultures reach by sheer luck. Everytime she swooped for him he would panic and stumble or fall to the side making her miss. (woo) But he wouldn't last long, he was getting slower and his panting was slowing him down. Not to mention how fast his heart was pounding. He felt as if it could beat out of his chest at any moment.
The vulture glared, if they kept this up other vultures might be atrackted.. and that would mean a chance of loosing such a nice meal.
Yakuti shifted in her sleep, expecting in the back of her mind for her paws to hit that cub that resided in her den.. but instead her feet hit the den floor. She blinked curious opening one eye to see where he was. She jumped to her paws in a Panic. "I told him not to go outside!" she hurried out the tunnel that lead to the sand covered terrain. She quickly tried to place a scent.. no luck. the wind had allready blown it everywhere.. She looked around, her mind racing for an idea of how to find him. Finally looking up she noticed a vulture following something. Her little maturnal heart now raced with fear for her 'cub', that had to be him. She just hoped she got to him before the vulture did as she took off in that direction. Now a normal fennec fox would have given up the cub for dead and stayed in the den for their own saftey. Ofcourse.. normal fennec foxes also wouldn't have a lion cub calling them mom..
The cub suddenly stopped seeing Kimondo. His mom had warned him about being around other lions.. Said they would kill him. but.. she looked nice, well not her fur but her eyes did. and with that small bit of hope that he thought she might be a nice lion, like himself he was a nice lion.., she could help him. He skittered under her with a mewl and sat down panting hard enough he thought he might pass out.

Exalla Teule swallowed and blushed slighttly, accentuating his white luminescent fur. He coiled his tail around her side and nodded. He was trying to retain the suave of the male cheetahs he had seen when they were courting the females.
"Yea, I live here. How about you, I never seen you around here before?"
((Sorry, I had to go. Can we continue?)) "Hey!That tickles!" Jasiri cried, pushing his furry white tail away from her, blushing a little. "I live where ever I want." she said proudly. "IM an orphane, so with no pack, and no one to take care of me, I just live on my own." her tail flicked back and forth, and she went to move her paw, and accidentally placed her paw on top of his. Pulling it away quickly, she blushed. "S-sorry."

Teule grinned at her comment and also reddened as they made contact. He pulled it away and scrtached his other arm, trying to retain his cool. Smirking, he scrutinously looked Jaisiri over, walking around her in a circle, giving a wide smirk when he was done and plopped down in front of her again.
"Dontcha have a family er something? You don't look like you could take care of yourself..."

Jasiri watched him as he made a circle around her, a confused look on her face. The question didnt surprise her much, she was used to being asked it. "My father died before I was born, some illness, and my mother, she got attacked by hyenas awile back, and ive been alone ever since. Its hard sometimes, but i usually find a field mouse or something to satisfy me." She looked at the ground, she hoped her answer wonldnt upset him.

Teule's smirk left just as quickly as it came, swallowing as he felt a spark of sympathy for her. He mumbled an apology and gave her a weak smile of understanding.
"Yea, I'm an orphan, too, I don't remember what happened to my parents but I have a new one! Her name's Takadamu, wanna meet er'?"
He stood up and gestured over with his paw to the sleeping cheetah.

Jasiri walked cautiosly over to the cheetah. She had never seen one up close before. She was carefully not to disturb her. She shuffled her paw in the dirt for a second, and the sand swept up into a small dust cloud, that Jasiri inhalled. She let a huge sneeze, all over Takadamu. "Um...oops...im really sorry!"

Taka blinked her eyes open sleepily, while Teule gave her a unsure smile. She sniffed, again and again, until she too let out a large and loud sneeze. she lifted off the ground and looked at Teule sleepily and then at Jasiri, then back at Teule until she was caught flipping her head this way and that.
"Two?! Where did you come from?!"

Jasiri stared wide-eyed at the female cheetah. "Im Jasiri, I was just roaming about when I bumped into Teule." She gesterd at him slightly, and gave the cheetah her largest, most innocent smile.

Taka yawned and then eyes Teule warily who only mimicked Jasiri and gave a wide smile. Taka rolled her eyes and smiled back at Jasi, hoping the mother wasn't near or else. That's all she needed more lions. Teule swallowed and inched nearer to Jasiri to calm her in case she was nervous. Grumpy cheetahs weren't the most welcoming thing.
"Well, hello then Jasiri. Might I ask, how'd you get way out here?"

Jasiri relaxed a little when Teule stood by her. She looked from Taka back to Teule. "I walked here mostly." She said bluntly. "Ive been roaming lately, trying to find someplace that I can stay." She said shuffling the sand around with her paws.

Teule smiled inwardly at having another lion to play with, maybe Taka would take her in! Teule grinned slyly and eyed Taka who winced while she smiled, knowing what was coming. Teule breathed in and looked p to Taka, eyes wide and ears flat against his head. No one in their right mind could resist the kitten face. No one.
"Maybe she could stay with us, yea Taka?"
Taka flinched outwardly, looking at Jasi and slowly growing aware that the cub wouldn't survive for much longer without parents. She gulped and shrugged, turning away from Teules subliminal messaging.
"Why not ask her if she wants to?"
