Yeah I suppose there is that to it! And I can definately see the angel in you! *Smiles warmly and takes another mouthful of drink, suddenly looks very serious* You're the first person I've ever met who's older than me, I'm 219 myself....

That's correct....but why do you ask? *Takes another drink*

Ah, well that much is true. But I've seen enough to make me....*Drinks hard* I didn't choose to be this way, I've watched my comrades and family die one by one, my kindom fall to an invading nation and everything I've ever owned burned before my eyes. *Takes another mouthful, then turns and smiles at Atticus* But looks like I've met someone who can understand all that. *Smiles*

*Automatically finishes his drink, calls over to the barman for two more* Life's hard sometimes huh? Especially when you get powers that you didn't ask for, at the price of something that you truely desire. *The barman walks over and places the drinks on the table*

*Leans his head against hers and says nothing for a while, then he picks up his drink* It was a curse, that's why I won't die. It was my own fault, but there was nothing else I could do...*Takes a gulp and sets the drink back down, absent-mindedly begins to stroke Atticus's hair softly* It happened when I was 19.....

*Chuckles* Well I come from what was once the Kingdom of Diadem. I was a knight from the age of 17. One day we had reports of a large collective of monsters gathering outside a small village in the south of the Kingdom. So myself and a few of my fellow knights set out to investigate things, but what we found was far from anything that any of us could ever of imagined.*Takes another mouthful of drink*....

Yeah, it had been my dream since I was a boy. Being a knight was everything to me. *Runs a finger over his heart* But you see, when we got to this village, we were to late, the whole place was engulfed in flames, the villagers were strewn around dead, butchered in the most horrific ways! We couldn't beleive this so we went to hunt the monsters down....we walked straight into their trap. They'd been waiting for us just beyond the village, and ambushed us, they killed so many of my friends in seconds! *Takes another hard gulp of drink*....

*Puts his finger beneath her chin and lifts her head, smiles warmly into her eyes* It was our duty as knights, they died proudly, they wouldn't want you to be sad for them. *Stokes her cheek with his finger and leans over for another gulp of drink* Anyhow, a small group of us made it up into the mountains, where we tried to escape the monsters, but they just kept coming! That was when we saw it, I don't know exatly what it was but there was a dark light as bright as the sun but darker than the night sky. It spoke to us, "If you wish to survive, you must accept a greater power than you've ever imagined" It said. We were amazed, we were being offered power, what was the catch? The being spoke on: "Only one may recieve this power, but it comes at a cost! If you accept what I am offering, you will surrender your past, and future to me!" We didn't know what this meant at the time and assumed it meant that we'd use this power and then die, so I accepted as the squad Captain. *Takes another swig* And that's when I recieved this, *Runs his hand across his lance*.....
