Saria made her way through the forest. She came upon Oric battle area with the wolves and began to study it.

"Vampires."

She gave a small growl.

"More and More are coming. The youths are attracting them. That...."

She sniffed the area, her guard immediately rose.

"Something else is as well."

((Fear the boredom post!! FEAR IT! scream ))

Violet sat on the windowsill rocking back and forth and singing off key to some French pop songs.
"J'ai pas vigggggnnnt ans!"
The window began to crack slightly in the corner, but Violet payed no attention. She watched the rain pour down over the forest floor. Racoons, foxes, and rodents were all scurrying under the brush for their homes. She secretly wanted to go chase them, but the water wouldn't be good for her.
There wasn't a whole lot going on nowadays. Haji had disappeared and hadn't attacked Master in quite a while. She hadn't seen Lion or the others in a long time. She assumed it was just quiet time. There wasn't a whole lot she could do at this point.
The song ended and she sighed heavily.
"Oh come onn!" She wasn't sure where Master was right now. Maybe he was out walking... she couldn't recall.

The rain calmed down to a mist and she tapped at the glass, doodling in the fog. "La la la!"
Violet jumped to see her doodle and squealed lightly. "Yeay!"

"I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves! Everybody's nerves, everybody's nerves!"

Lonewolf was heading back to his cabin in the woods. He was hunched over as he walked through the thousands of trees, Locke following his every step.

*Snakt!*

Lonewolf starts and turns around only to see nothing behind him. He squinted his eye as he scanned the surrounding brush. He slowly turns back around to continue homeward, but stops suddenly. Locke stops with him, also realizing it.

"That smell..." Lonewolf lifts his nose into the air as Locke mimics his exact movement. "...sulfur." Lonewolf's eyebrows furrowed.

SSSCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Lonewolf side steps to the left, and Locke side steps to the right, both barely dodging a demon's desperate sword chop.

"Fool." Just as Lone dodges the attack, he quickly holds up his right two fingers and slashes downward to his right, a blue energy blade extending and slicing off the demon's head.

Locke growls at their surroundings as 10 more demons form a perfect circle around both Lonewolf and his pet wolf. All of them grinning ferociously. Lonewolf remained standing there, his only eye closed as his blue blade remained extended. 2 demons nod acknowledging each other, and both dive in to attack him. They both fall on the floor face first, seemingly diving right through Lonewolf as if he were a spirit, only to see him fade away along with Locke. Baffled by this the demons look around all over the place, however, they do not look up...

Lonewolf, holding Locke in his arms, stood above them, one palm extended downward. "Begone." He states with no emotion. The purple blast causes a huge crater in the area. Lonewolf slowly descends and lands softly down on the mud, placing Locke down beside him.

"Hmph." Lonewolf turns swiftly, causing his cloak to flow through the wind like a crescent moon and continues walking home. Not realizing that one of the demons were still alive...

Violet tilted her head to the side and looked at the fuzzy movement in the forest. She wasn't sure just what it was, but it was fast, and heading straight towards her. Her stubby fingers tried to open the window,
"MASTER! Something's coming!!!!"

The demon slayer stared at the former leader.
"Well... it appears as though you're not dead after all. Put the gun down. We both know that a gun really doesn't suit you."
The man pushed the gun to the side gently and calmly.
"It's been a long time.... Lonewolf."

"Not quite. Ocarina died years ago. I'm his demon alter-ego, Inferno."
Inferno remained unfased by the gun pointed at his head and remained in his human form.
"I'm looking for answers too. I followed the smell of fresh demon blood, and alot of it."
Inferno cracked his neck.
"There has been alot of demon appearences lately. far more than there has been in centuries. I'm looking for answers as to why so many demons are coming out of the woodworks."
Inferno glared at Lonewolf.
"I've answered your questions. Now how 'bout you put that gun away and invite me in. After all, you're the first live dragoon I've seen in a long time."

The demon in disguise smurked at how Lonewolf's attitude was similar to his own.
"I'll take you up on your oh too too generous offer."
Inferno walked inside and grabbed a sit, secretly grateful for chance to sit down and rest, after having been walking for six days nonstop.
"So, what's a former great dragoon leader doing living here in a cottage in the woods?"
Inferno looked out of the corner of his eye and noticed the little persicom at the window frame.

"I've been walking around for months, following the scents of demons and searching for a pattern"
The human drank some of the water
"But all I've found is that the western lands haven't had many demon sightings at all. The eastern lands have been far more dangerous as far as demon attacks go. I'm thinking back to the last major dragoon battle."
Inferno drank more water.
"The last major dragoon battle created the desert over the mountains east of this forest. That b*****d vowed that demons would return. I checked out the desert a few weeks ago, but didn't find anything. The demons seem to be mostly gathered deep in this forest."
Inferno finished his water.
"Hey, you got any alcohol?"
